I was browsing for a new 2nd car. I knew it had to be a Toyota again, let alone a 4runner. I love my 4 runners. After months of searching ; several sites and Toyota dealers. I decided to buy from Serra Toyota. I was hell-bent on getting one from Serra. I love reading all the past reviews. I was digging the raving reviews about the staff and the salespeople. I was fortunate to make the call and get Sam. Sam, the man is super awesome!!! If anyone needs to get a new car, I recommend Serra if you're into Toyota vehicles. Sam, I appreciate your due diligence and your attention to detail. Even though I met you for a short time, you kept me informed. You are a great guy and are great at what you do. I love my 2022 4runner with low miles. It's awesome. Thankyou Jordan for helping with a smooth transaction. A+ dealer and sales reps. This US Army Veteran is very happy with my cash buy. I purchased a 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid Limited AWD about 3 weeks ago and have 1,300 miles on my new vehicle. I love it! Serra Toyota helped make the process smooth. Kelvin patiently guided me and followed up promptly as I made the decision to reserve our Grand Highlander from the dealership order bank. The vehicle arrived as promised and was prepared for delivery in a timely fashion. Corey in the finance department fairly priced extended warranties for the vehicle, wheels & tires, etc. He also made sure I received a fair trade in value for my 2019 Chevrolet Crew Cab Silverado. Aaron answered many of my questions and owner Jim T. was available as well. Brett in parts assisted me in ordering aftermarket wheels so I could have dedicated winter tires. The facility is top notch and efficient and my experience has been very positive! The Grand Highlander is a comfortable and safe vehicle that I am excited to drive and the mileage is what I expected. I would not hesitate to purchase another vehicle from Serra Toyota in Traverse City. Thank You!

We had a fantastic experience with Devon. He listened carefully and got us exactly the car we wanted. He was professional, courteous and kept us informed about the vehicle. Once the car arrived at the dealership, he made the actual purchase fast and easy. He set up the the app and all IT connections on the car. Sam was wonderful. Professional and patient with all of our questions. We wanted to add a lot of accessories and Sam got the information for us in timely fashion. Even after we drove off, he has still be in touch making sure we are still happy. We truly felt like we were dealing with friends. And knowing that Sam wanting us 100% happy before we signed on anything was so refreshing. We will be back to buy from Sam again.

Jordan was awesome to work with! Pickup went really smoothly, whoever dropped off my car even put it super close to where it was (in a parking garage!!!) and when there was a hiccup with the free oil changes the car came with up to a certain mileage, Jordan was able to work it out with me to where we were both happy. Awesome guy!

**NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE**Last time i had an appointment here it was for a brake job, their mechanic forgot to put a bolt back in my caliper and it messed my caliper and tire rim up real bad. They tried saying that isn't on them at first until i further explained the situation, demanding that they make everything right. After the fact, 4 months later i am already needing another brake job done because the entire time since the appointment my brakes have been dragging. The bigger guy at the front service desk with glasses gave me a hard time, him and his coworker were basically playing good cop bad cop with me. I could've died in a car crash because of that. Also, my oil filter got put on so tight that i broke it trying to replace it. They also charged me a random $3 for a gasket during an oil change, and also come to find out my drain plug gasket for my differential is leaking fluid. Last but definitely not least, i was told upon my purchase that all fluids were serviced. Definitely not the case, the transmission fluid was extremely low and had turned black from being burnt up due to it not being serviced. The dealership says the trans fluid is good for the life of the vehicle, but in the fine print it says the vehicle's life expectancy is 150k miles. I drive a toyota for christ's sake. As the salesman Tucker said, "they run forever". Not when you don't service it correctly. Never have your maintenance done here if you care about the longevity of your vehicle. I learned my lesson, so take it from me and save yourself the hassle.

Bought a used murano that was supposed to have been checked out and had to replace a wheel bearing before even making my first car payment. Not good. It was also a two day wait for them to contact me to even schedule it to be done. When I finally took it in for diagnosis for the problem I waited there for two hours and had to look for them to find out what the problem was. To fix the problem it is booked out for one hour to replace it and was told it would be another three hour wait. Again, not good. I do say they did a good job when it was replaced and my sales lady Angel is very good. And while I was waiting in the waiting room you might want to tell them they can be heard out there when they talk about customers.

I had the most wonderful experience purchasing a RAV4 from Serra Toyota. I just moved home to Michigan and Serra was the only dealership that had what I was looking for. With the help of Sean in sales and Corey in finance, I was able to complete the purchase from 4 hours away and when I drove down to pick up the car, they both were so helpful in expediting the process so I could get back on the road and home before dark. I look forward to working with this dealership in the future and I'll be sending all my friends to Sean when they are looking for a new vehicle!

I am very disappointed in the sales person Matt at Serra Toyota as well as the finance manager Jordan Moffit. The details on the extended warranty purchase were totally misconstrued on top of having to reach out many times to follow up on a cancelled warranty due to my vehicle getting totaled. Make sure you ask questions on the extended warranty coverage to understand the timing of it. I advise if you buy certified you DO NOT buy the extended warranty at the time of purchase as you will have a 12 month bumper to bumper warranty anyway and they will overlap- lesson learned to do the homework and not believe the salesman.In speaking with Jordan Moffit today 1-9-24 it is obvious they DO NOT care about the customer only their dealership. He just processed my warranty cancellation yesterday that was cancelled the end of November and was not the least bit concerned about my dissatisfaction. Just went on to say must of been a miscommunication there has been many of those with these guys. Seems like these days businesses would be a little more pro customer to maintain good relations. Very sad

We worked with Nolan to purchase our 2022 Toyota Sienna, and he made the entire process a breeze. The current market for Siennas is absolutely bonkers, so we really appreciated that he communicated with us about every update and really made us feel at ease about the process. The day we drove up for the purchase, the entire staff at Serra was so welcoming! Our purchasing experience with Cory was smooth! He was fast, and really helped the process move right along so we didn t have to spend much time waiting on paperwork and signatures. The next time we need a vehicle, we ll be making the trip up to Traverse City again!

Austin Cleary is an amazing help when purchasing a vehicle! I have purchased 2 Toyota pickups through him now over the last 3 years. My 2017 Toyota Tacoma, purchased new from Serra Toyota, Traverse City, required a fuel pump replacement due to a recall. I took it to my dealer for replacement. When I picked it up, I went to a gas station to fill up and 5 gallons of gasoline immediately spilled out from below the truck. I could not start the truck for fear of explosion hazard and the tow truck driver was fearful to even trigger the battery for ignition so that he could move it away from the gas pump.When I contacted the dealership, they were kind enough to give me the phone number of the tow company I could call so that I could deal with the problem, as opposed to assisting with the situation. (The dealership did cover the towing expense).I had to call someone to help me get home and arrange help to pick up my vehicle the next day. The dealer did fill up my tank and fix their mistake. When I expressed concern about my vehicle smelling like gas, they replied, oh, that will only last a day or two.The dealership released to me an unsafe vehicle to operate and this is the level of response? If this is the level of customer service I can anticipate after vehicle purchase, I will not buy another vehicle here.

Leo C. is the best and most knowledgeable vehicle sales representative that I have ever conducted business with, and I have been purchasing for over 45 years. I have been trying to find a RAV4 Hybrid for several months in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota my home state, no luck with any of the Toyota dealerships here. They say we will call when we can get you on a waiting list...and they want nonrefundable money down. Serra Toyota I found by luck looking outside my area. Got ahold of Leo and he called a few days later with a selection of 4 RAV4 Hybrids and I was on the list for delivery no money down. Leo returns calls and texts in a reasonable time, and always seems to be in a great mood. He picked me up at the airport and I was driving home in a few hours. I would recommend that everyone use him for all their vehicle purchases or inquiries!

The cable on our 2020 Toyota Sienna broke just like our other Sienna years ago and back then it was fixed under recall. So we called the Manager of Serra Toyota in Traverse City, MI and he told us that it is still under warranty and will repair the cable at no cost. My husband drove almost 3 hours to get the cable fix. When he arrived he was told that it is not under warranty and we have to pay for the repair. Also, this is a new minivan and already there is bubbling on the silver trim which was not taken care of. Gas is not cheap nowadays plus time wasted on going there. We will never ever go back to that place and will tell our friends, acquaintances, and family NOT to go to that place for anything!!! This will go to every Social media platforms. Very bad service! Does NOT even deserve a star!

We have two Toyotas and love them. Service at Serra has (for the third time in a row) been a nightmare. Very simple items that take an entire day after a 1.5 hour estimate with nothing changing. No communication or updates, return calls taking hours. My guess is they are overbooking service and focusing on the big money items, knowing that once you're there you're stuck. We will not be taking our vehicles back again for service.
