They have been my go-to oil change place for a few years now. Honest, timely and the reason for my review; they take the time to give you advise to save you money even if it s not with them. Anyone who will do that makes it clear they are simply trying to do best for their clients.

Called 4 different shops before settling on these fine folks. Best price for oil changes around. Period. Showed up 15 minutes before closing and graciously took take of me. Will be coming back here for all of my needs.

We ve used Precision for 3 years, on all our vehicles. They have the best prices, honest mechanics, and we ve never had a complaint. They ve navigated us through suspension issues, balancing, bearings, brakes, electrical issues, standard tire and engine maintenance and thankfully not too much more! They re as flexible as they can be with scheduling and considerate about your wait. Fast, friendly, expert service!! They were so helpful with my emergency situation, despite being completely booked on a busy Saturday. They immediately diagnosed the problem and me options, made great recommendations, and even gave advice for next steps and ongoing maintenance. Pricing was more than fair. Exceptional experience!!!

Precision Auto was amazing. My old Mazda MPV broke down while I was visiting family. They worked me in into the schedule, diagnosed the problem , and gave several options on how to proceed when there was a time lag for getting a part. They were patient , understanding, prompt, and fair.

We cannot say enough great things about this business. We were 4 hours from home with oil leaking everywhere! The cooling hose for the oil burst and needed to be replaced. They were booked for a week, of course we didn't have that kind of time not knowing if our engine was blown, did we need to obtain a rental etc. They worked us in and repaired the damage and set us on our way. They didn't " have" to do anything for us but they did. I hope we never visit them again, however if we have any problems in future trips...they will be our first stop!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

We were in Traverse City and our battery died. The manager and his worker were so kind to get a battery in our car so I could get home in time for my husbands chemo appointment. The manager kept checking in with me there was a problem with getting AAA to tow us I ended up getting another tow truck. I had a family member get sick all of a sudden his liver was failing I had to get to Detroit and my truck needed a bearing so I decided to drop of my truck off on a Friday so they can fix it not knowing I needed to set up a appointment I told them my situation and they went above and beyond and had my truck fixed that same day and for that I will always be grateful thank you very much

A year ago we were told by our Mechanical Repair Coverage Insurer to use Precision Tune and Auto Care for the Alternator in my husbands Ram. At this time, we had a true untrustworthy feeling with mechanics due to being burned many times. The cost, timeliness, and overall good job was impressive. Two weeks ago my son had an issue with his car, we called, got it in within two days and fixed same day. Again, affordable and the issue is fixed.Now the kicker is I ve had a reoccurring break issue I ve seen another shop about FOUR TIMES. They haven t been able to fix and diagnose the issue and I said hey guys can you take a look? They said sure and we do free break inspections! They FIGURED IT OUT. Fifth time was the charm along with going to a reputable mechanic. Thank you Dave for being so honest and accommodating when my 2000 Ford Escort broke down unexpectedly last week. Even though you didn't have the time to fix it in my required time frame, you let me have it towed to your facility and recommended Jordan next door! Your collaboration with Jordan has allowed me the peace of mind that I needed. I will be forever grateful for your honesty and willingness to help me even though you were booked out several days/weeks! You are a rock star!

Do not use this business. After making an appointment 2 weeks out, they had no record of it and refused the service they promised to make. Sloppy, unprofessional. They don't bother to wear masks either, so that tells you all you need to know about how much they care for their customer.Darryl, thank you for the response, but your manager said the earliest they could look at my car was Monday. This was on a Friday. Had it been the next day for service, I would have left it. And, the first person at the desk did have his mask on, but no, the second one with the attitude most certainly did not. I was told my appointment did not appear on the book because " someone had left the company and screwed up".

The men at Precision Tune in Traverse City were professional and honest. A job they quoted me for 2 hours, only took them 1 hour to do. I had dropped my car off so I would never have known how long it took them. They called me and told me they were only charging me an hour labor, and the final cost would be even less than originally quoted. That was very pleasant surprise. The car drives great, thanks guys!

An amazing job well done! I came in with an electrical issue and it was diagnosed and fixed within half an hour. Very honest gentleman who are willing to save you some money with a quick and efficient fix. My experience was hands down one of the best mechanic visits I've had. Great costumer service and reliable work. I highly recommend Precision Tune Auto Care.

We were in traverse for a wedding and our car started leaking coolant late friday afternoon. Precision Tune was one of the few places open on Saturday, so we had it taken there. David the manager/ master technician said he would look at it first thing. Despite having several local jobs, he made time to help out some tourists. It turned out the folk who did our coolant service earlier in the year had simply failed to tighten the clamp. David could have told us it was anything and overcharged us, but instead he was honest and got us back on the road very quickly for very little money. We are thankful for this place!

Car was overheating on a two day trip from out of town. Just wanted to get the kids out for a couple days. Precision Tune Auto Care was super busy but gave us some pointers on how to fix it ourselves. After replacing the Thermostat I still couldn't get it, so they had a guy come out to help me bleed the air out. Great guys who really cared about us total strangers. They definitely deserve your business.

Dave and the guys there were extremely professional. They articulated everything in layman's terms. They showed me what the part had looked like, and had recommendations to keep us on the road. I appreciate an opportunity to learn and they operated with precision.

Ken and Dave and company were exceptional. We were on vacation and had a cylinder start to misfire. They got us in and out in just 2 hours. Unfortunately the coil pack they replaced malfunctioned causing a second visit to the shop. Again they had us in and out in just 2 hours along with replacing a broken motor mount. The guys went above and beyond explaining things and showing what they were doing. Unfortunately the repairs were basically a band aid to get us home as their is a deeper issue with the problematic cylinder. We did get home safely. Now to get to the dealership for further diagnostics and repairs. Thanks again Ken and Dave. You're the best!!!

I've been going there for close to 25-30 years because of my Mom. They're really the only people I know. But they've been good to my Mom and me. They've never had a problem telling me my car doesn't need repairs. They've also done plenty of repairs. I've heard horror stories (not sure which location). But I've never been a witness to them.The ownership changed. I miss them. But I haven't seen the customer service change. But they've expanded hours and technology. Wi-Fi is a really nice addition.

The previous owner was 5+ Stars easily. I went there to get an oil change after the ownership change and the new guy tried over selling and misleading me about what oil I should put in my vehicle. I'm not an expert but I know enough. He then did it again when another customer came in for an oil change and I made sure the guy knew not to listen to the owner at all. The staff there is amazing, but I would avoid it because you never wanna go to a shop where you can't trust them to be honest with you.

Made a review on here the other day. About bad service. Was a complete misunderstanding, tech was busy and didnt get my phone number correct he did try calling me back. At my appointment all cleared up and very satisfied with the service. Brought me back and showed me some concerns with my tires. At the end of the day they made me feel like a valued customer. Also they blow other full synthetic prices in town out of the water for oil changes.

Just had the front brakes done by this group and had a great experience. After arranging a drop-off time for the car, when I arrived, they greeted me by name and were ready at the computer to get the necessary info. They called when the job was complete and did payment over the phone. Simple and sweet. I would go again...
