I couldn't be any more happier about my diagnostics and repair on my diesel! Very professional and extremely knowledgeable about everything that was , and what could be , and advice about my future with my rig!Definitely take me for my word! You want northern Michigan diesel for your big rig needs!

Very irritated, at first it was all good. Had no problem spending the money to get my truck running. The issue is after north of $6500 and 2 miles down the road and my truck died, it did the same thing so I had it towed to them again and they TURNED the truck away. Told me there was nothing they could do for me.. I have a pressure leak somewhere. Also there was an 825+% upcharge on parts. 1 part alone was an additional $1046.49 than what he purchased off of ebay. I have the order certificate for proof of purchase.. VERY POOR experience with this company. I am currently having the truck pulled back apart to remove the cheap parts he sold as a high quality product.If you're looking for an honest mechanic, this is not the place. If I'm called a liar I will post the parts/order#/price and my bill.Update: I paid for and I was billed for a NEW high pressure pump and they gave/ installed a remanufactured pump. ZERO questions asked. I'm disgusted by the way this company operates.

Northern Michigan Diesel did an amazing job with our 1976 Argosy Bus! When we acquainted the vehicle it needed a new fuel pump and a new carburetor that was simple not available. They were upfront that rebuilding the carburetor would be a challenge but we're excited at the opportunity. The bus now works great, we are very impressed and appreciate their hard work!!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

I brought my truck here and Jeremy worked with me. Needed some parts that were no longer made. Let me order the parts and bring them in. Good reliable work. Would definitely recommend. They wont sell you something you don't need. If I have any issues in the future this is where I'll take my diesel.

If you are in Traverse City looking for great service,honest service and fast service ( not to mention knowledgeable, professional service) look no further. After going to three other places, Jeremy was the only one to diagnose my problem (3 bad U joints) and fixed it himself in 2 and one half hours. I am a full time RV'er and it sure is a big relief when you find a gem like him while on the road. He saved me $700.00 by not charging me for a part someone else said I need, which I did not. Go there for your next repair. You will be glad you did. I drive an 02 F 250 Super Duty Diesel.

I have a mobile Veterinary Hospital and the diesel engine suddenly had no power. I called the frieghtliner place in town and they recommended Northern Michigan Diesel. Jeremy was out and diagnosed the problem quickly. The part had to come from Grand Rapids but as soon as it was here I was back on the road, and back to work. Great service, great price and nice people to work with. Highly recommend!

Casey was awesome. She was kind, professional and went above and beyond. We were visiting from Florida this Christmas when both of the wheel bearings went out on my 2500 Ram 2500. We also had to leave the upcoming Sunday. The first shop said they couldnt do it until next week due to it already being Thursday. In a matter of 10 minutes she had us scheduled same day and got the ball rolling on parts. Unfortunately (but also fortunately) when we got to the first shop, they had the job started and almost complete after notification of using another shop. Casey thank you so much and I'm sorry we didn't use y'all. I will for sure use this business any time I have an issue.

I talked to Jeremy today about my 6.0, he was so informative and knew his stuff. He talked about ways to get the truck back going and even offered service over the phone. I will be using Jeremy and his team for ALL my future diesel repairs.

A few words that come to mind when thinking of Northern Michigan Diesel are Honest, Trustworthy, Integrity and No Nonsense. They have been working on our company vehicles for the past 5 years and I cannot say enough good things about this company. I am pretty mechanical but no experience with Diesel engines. I have a old wood chipper that has sat for about a year and wouldn t start. After a short conversation and sharing a few pics he walked me through what to do and it started right up. I was greatly appreciative of the help! Need more people like this in the world will to help! Thanks again

Took our truck here and was told that the diesel engine needed to be replaced.. the mechanic said it was a catastrophic failure ... and was going to cost $15,000...we decided to get a 2nd opinion... thankfully! The mechanic at Michigan Diesel not only tried to completely rip us off, he was also completely wrong about the diagnosis.. Just got our truck back and fixed for $600..I have no idea why anyone would take a thing to this company. Absolutely incompetent and a scam in my opinion!

Stopped in out of the blue to ask if they can help me get a gear off a pump and put on a new pump. The gentlemen that was in the office helped me right away. It was super nice and I very much appreciated the help, I was expecting to leave it there for a while. If you need a diesel mechanic, this is the place. Awesome people. Thank you.

The only place anybody should take a diesel, 3 shops and there the only ones who fixed what the truck was there for.The owner is a great guy him and the mechnics are most honest people ive ever dealt with in a shop. I WOULD GIVE 100 STARS IF POSSIBLE

Very informational, up front about the wait time and gave possible things that might of been wrong with my truck. The call back was within 30 minutes and said when ever I was ready I could bring my truck in.

My engine brake was out and I came to this place, Geremy scanned my volvo and looking something on computer for 2 hours and he said I can't fixed, so I lost my 2 hours and he wanted charge me for 97$ even he didn't tell me what's exactly problem
