Fast and friendly customer service. The mechanic was very up front about pricing and his plan for diagnosing and fixing my steering issue. Fair and honest.Even better, I thought I needed a very expensive repair and he was able to determine that it wasn't necessary and found the real culprit to my car's vibration: out of balance tires. It was a much less expensive fix than I was anticipating and the car is driving like a dream now.Would definitely recommend.

The service was great. I was able to speak to Dan directly about what was wrong with the car and Cathy offered to give me a ride back to the house we vacationed at since we were down a car. Pricing was fair, turnaround time was quick and the service was honest. My experience hear was a breath of fresh air compared to the auto shops I m used to dealing with. Very fortunate to have found Dan and Cathy.

Dan is an old school mechanic who can actually fix your car. Very happy to have found him. Will use as long as he's in business. All our cars go to him. Still using Dan 9/1/23

I've been using Northern Auto Service for probably 15 or more years now. Even talk the rest of my family into using them as well. Every time I go there is a treat. Kathy, the co-owner is the sweetest lady you'll ever meet. Dan, the guy that actually works on your car is the most honest down-to-earth mechanic you'll ever meet as well. The best part is is when you need a job that requires parts that they don't have, the parts are usually a couple Doors Down and they can have them there in a Flash. If you arrive there and need a ride Kathy will happily give you a ride no matter where... And with a smile on her face.

Dan took care of my problems after two other shops failed and charged a lot. The service was fast, reasonable, and he discussed the issues fully with me. My new repair shop of choice in Traverse City.

Way overcharged us to fix our vehicle. Charged us $170.00 just to tell us that our heating/AC needed more work, maybe a new control head. Asked him to check power seat button, said he wiggled it and it started working. Charged us $42.50 for that. Ridiculous

Wondering why my sisters brake issue was billed out at $700 and 85% of that was labor cost?Only a mechanic would know if this is a fair price.Do mechanics make as much hourly as a lawyer or doctor?

Traveled to Traverse City from Novi, car started acting up along the way, thought i knew what it was. I was wrong, but Dan made sure i could calm down and enjoy the rest of my trip while they took care of her. Definitely see these guys in a pinch.
