The owner was very helpful and friendly. He greeted me before the front door even closed behind me! I told him what I needed (side steps for my truck) and he showed me the options and ordered it same day (Monday).. the part was received on Tuesday and he scheduled the appointment for Wednesday! Very reasonable prices and just an overall awesome customer experience! Probably one of the few family owned family businesses that are genuinely honest and non-discriminatory in the Traverse City area!

I had a hitch installed on my car today. Staff was friendly, service was quick, and the wireing looks nice. It was $426 with tax which I think is good considering the hitch part alone is about $250.

Stopped in to see if MTA could fix a strap issue on the "accordion" bed cover of my truck. Wow. Just wow. There are still decent people in the world. The gist: the owner explained the hurdles he'd potentially encounter (essentially supply chain) to do the work and how I could rectify the situation with some supplies from a hardware store. He walked-me-through explanation of how, why, and what I'd need to do, and offered if I had any trouble to bring it back and he'd fix. His kindness, integrity, and (tee-hee) sense of humor instilled such good feelings, I found myself scanning my mind to figure out what work I COULD come back and have him complete. A real gem.

I called around to get a price on how much it would cost to put a hitch on my truck. They gave me a price. When i went to pick up the truck after the job was completed it cost $150.00 more as their quote didn't include the labor. it felt dishonest and purposeful. it went from $300.00 to $457.00. When you ask "how much will it cost me to put a hitch on my truck?" how can you not include the labor cost and expect the buyer to magically "know" that?

I was trying to put a 10,000lb electronic winch onto my Ford F-150 and admit I had absolutely no idea what parts I would need installed on the truck, nor their costs.Yes, I had 'already' purchased the winch from Sam's Club - which was the easiest part, but perhaps maybe not the smartest decision without consulting MTA to begin with as the one I selected may not have been ideal for my vehicle! The employees/owner at MTA were really friendly and easy to work with. The pricing for components and labor rates were fair, and the work performed was completed as scheduled. I will not hesitate in bringing them my future business.

I bought a tonneau cover from a 3rd party and it had an issue. I was visiting the area and called Michigan Truck Accessories (MTA) to see if they could help me fix it. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone, advised me he would look at it, but if he didn't sell that brand, I would not be able to help.I brought my truck in, and the same person I spoke to on the phone met me in the parking lot. He quickly assessed that my cover was not a brand sold at MTA. He did offer me a solution, and gave me hardware to fix it at no charge! The hardware he gave me was all I needed and have had no issues since. The word needs more customer service like this, and if I find myself in need of truck accessories in Traverse City again, I won't hesitate to bring my business here.

I know ZIP about trailers and trailering but MTA recently installed a hitch on my Subaru and offered friendly, honest advice on how to trailer safely. You don't need to shop around anymore - these are the guys to go to. Great Product and Price.

Always very friendly. Have had them install running bars, rubber bed mats, and a bumper over the years, on multiple trucks. They perform quality work, with quality products, and do it in a timely manner.

Had A very good experience previously. This time was a disaster. Staff friendly and apologetic but Casey is a screw up. Avoid him at all costs. Will NEVER go back.
