Be prepared to wait 2.5x longer than they quote, and pay more than their quote. Their customer service is ATROCIOUS. They told me twice "end of the week FOR SURE", then "It'll be done Tuesday afternoon" (after memorial day so there goes THAT weekend). Keep in mind this is 2 weeks past the original time quote. They called me to come get it on Friday, wanted to leave the thing outside and take my cc# over the phone because everyone was leaving EARLY for the day.This wasn't some overly complicated job, either. This was "take these brackets off this, put them on that". Simple. Straightforward.They do not value their customers.Next time I'll drive to Byrne welding and fabrication.

Thank you so much to Shawn at Great Lakes Weld!!We needed our drive shaft worked on for our Searay and he got us back in the water!Otherwise we would have had to haul our boat to Saginaw Bay to get it worked on and he saved us!Huge THANK YOU!!

I had a wheel fall off my boat trailer on the way up to Traverse city for vacation. If I had to order a new axle it would have taken 10 days, these guys got it cut, fixed, and as good as new in a day and a half. It made it so we could actually take our boat out on the lake before having to go back home. I would highly recommend Great Lakes Weld for any job in the area, they were fast, friendly, and very accommodating. Thanks again.

I picked up a pair of guards for my boss, v- plow, and they work great!Easy install, easy on, easy off.I brought in my other the plow to have a pattern created For new guards, and they finished the next day.

Custom exhaust failed very soon after installation. Wrong catalytic converters were chosen by GLW. Converters and main muffler they fabricated both failed. Damaged the floor of the vehicle. Had to find another shop to fix their mistakes. Would not recommend nor ever use again. If only there was a rating less than 1 star.

Needed welding done on my snow plow mount. I walked in and they said they were booked that day but get to it the next day. I stopped by on my way home from town and they had everything done and at a very fair price. Will definitely recommend.

They made a mistake on a job I had them do and then would not help me out financially after it what's costing more for additional parts. Very poor customer service I would never use them again.
