I went to have general maintenance done today, and as I was checking out, the girl informed me that my brake pads were in the 'red,' meaning they required immediate attention. She told me they didn't have time to do it while I was there, but I could schedule an appt to have it done at a later date. I live an hr and a half away, so I told her I would just have them done closer to my house, thinking it was no big deal. My husband and I got back in the car, and we drove about 5 miles down the road and my car starting to make some concerning sounds that it had never made before. I immediately assumed breaks, but It was happening even when I wasn't braking. We then realized that the caliper was damaged and the car was not safe to drive, especially with an infant in the car and being over an hour away from home. We called the dealership back, and they informed me that all of the technicians had left for the day. I explained that i had a child in the car and it wasnt safe to drive like that to 3 employees and they told me there was nothing they could do for me, I would have to wait until Monday. Leaving me stranded in TC. I was fortunate enough to find an auto parts store nearby open late on a Saturday. The other auto parts store had the new brakes installed within 3 hours for me, and couldn't believe the dealership let me leave knowing the shape my car was in. So much for making the customer your priority and doing everything you can to help. Your employees were rude about the situation and acted like I was being annoying with my concerns. One of your salesman even told me the technician never touched my brakes, which was a lie. You just didn't want to take responsibility. You obviously didn't drive my car around and test it or you would have most certainly heard the noise. Shame on you, Hyundai.

My car was there for a week before we were informed they didn't have a Hyundai mechanic. Why didn't they tell us that before we brought the car in?
