They were able to get me in right away. They inspected my brakes, showed me everything they found in detail. They took the time to explain all necessary repairs even looked up several prices for parts. They went above and beyond. Both the women working in the front as well as the inspector in the back were great thank you!

I've had alot of bad luck with vehicles. I decided a few months back to take my gfs car here for servicing. Like everyone, I try to find a reputable shop by reading the reviews first to see what I'm getting into. These guys did not dissapoint. They really try to help you out. Before I even brought it in there I spent a good 30minutes on the phone with there receptionist (who is extremely knowledgeable) as she picked my brain and we went over exactly what was going on, taking full interest in what it was that was potentially happening with my vehicle. Not only to try and diagnose it, but to see if this was something I could do myself, to save me time and money. That showed me 1 huge thing, these guys CARE! Businesses these days seem such in a rush to keep it moving nowadays. I feel I have to try and squeeze in everything I got to say in a time frame. I spent a HALF HOUR!!! Fast forward, took the car in to get serviced. New engine mounts, struts, had it ready same day. Fast turn around time. Few months later. As of 2 days ago, I bring my work truck in. Things been beat through the mud. Check engine light on for about a month. I go in with a list. They sit there in the lobby with me for a good 45minutes as we went down my check list and entered it into there notes. Told them I needed it back in 2 days as I had a job coming up. They got straight to work on my vehicle. Giving it an entire top to bottom evaluation. Come time to pick up, They had every single thing diagnosed for me. We went over options, as it was near the end of the day, they came out, the owner included. And spent a good hour just talking about the truck in general with me. It really felt more like a friendship than a "business to customer" relationship. You do not get this type of customer service anywhere these days anymore! Rather than take my money and start fixing every problem on it I have. They gave me some options and decided to wave my entire 2 day examination come checkout time. If that doesn't show you that these people actually care. I'm not sure what will. 10 out of 10! Take your vehicle here, you will not be disappointed. They did amazing work on my gfs car. They are very honest, and more family like than anything. You will not regret it! The Brake Shop will forever be my go to!

The staff is professional,they dig deep to find the real issue causing the problem. They treat their customers like their vehicle is the most important until they get the problem solved. They don't try and nickel and dime you to death. They have good work ethic. For eight years I have used The Brake shop for any issue I have with my car. I recommend them to everyone that I hear has a problem with their vehicle.

Been going to the Brake Shop for years. Sheree went above and beyond, spending hours looking for parts for my Chrysler Crossfire, looking for the best prices, joining a forum to help me save money, thoroughly explaining what needed to be done and why, offering to show me the parts that needed to be replaced. Highly recommend the Brake Shop.

Shop deserves five stars easily. Set up the appt, staff was professional, prices were reasonable. Dropped my car and brakes off and unfortunately I didn t check the brakes and they turned out to be rusted. The staff was understanding and was more than willing to keep my car and take a spot up until I received new brakes. When the brakes were dropped off my car was done that day. The staff was always polite, respectful, and helpful.Service: Brakes

The dealership told me I needed brakes even though they were not making any noise. So I brought my car to The Brake Shop to see what was really going on. They checked and told me I didn't need anything. Brakes and rotors are fine. I still have 60% left on front brakes and 50% left on the rear. I am so happy. Plus I am grateful to have found and honest place to take my car. I avidly recommend this business. It is hard to find honest people these days. Shout out to Sheree the receptionist, she was so helpful and sweet. Plus she dropped me off and picked me back up while they went over the car. I don't know if they usually do that but I really appreciated it.Service: Auto brake repair

I have taken many vehicles to The Brake Shop of Taylor over the past 20 years. Romelo and his team are knowledgeable, skilled and honest! Recently, they resolved a long list including a big issue with my Scion. Sheree test drove with me and wrote up the repairs and Kyle was the tech. As every visit to The Brake Shop of Taylor is excellent, these two professionals were so awesome, I had to leave this review. All of the techs are awesome (and I can now say that because each of them have worked in my vehicles). Got a car issue? Any issue take it to them for the fix. If they don t specialize in your car issue, they will point you in the right direction. Grateful for your expertise! Just when you think there are no more honest mechanics out there, we ll let me tell you that The Break Shop has one of the most honest and reliable mechanic. I took my car in for maintenance after the dealership gave me an outrageous estimate . I paid half the price and my car was done within a few days. I highly recommend The Brake Shop for all your auto needs! GREAT service- GREAT prices- GREAT people!!Prior to having them service my SUV, I'd only gone to the dealerships. Never had someone taken time to explain the issues clearly and answer each question I had. I'm SO HAPPY with them ... I can't wait for something else to go wrong! Joking, of course, but I will return for future needs.

Brought my car to The Brake Shop for minor maintenance, the customer service rep was very nice , she took her time and documented all my concerns. That same day they called me with an estimate that was within my budget . The Brake Shop did a fantastic job on my Truck, doing involved repair that other shops had refused. The work was done quickly, with as much cost effectiveness as could be achieved. Also there was communication about the progress of my vehicle at every step of the repair process. The transparency and explanation of the work performed is outstanding. I also believe that they went above and beyond in areas where they did not have to. I am very impressed, am confident in the work quality and would recommend this location.

Honesty! That's why you want to go here! My mother's brakes were making a grinding sound. I thought all four brake pads in all four rotors needed to be replaced. When I called them, they told me if I bring it in right away, I may not need rotors. That statement right there is what brought me in. They tried to save me money before I even went in. Unfortunately, it was too late for the rotors. Which is fine. She shouldn't have been driving like that for so long. Her fault not theirs. They could have just replaced all the rotors, and told me that they had to be done. They didn't though. They only replaced the front ones, because they said the back ones were fine. This just proves that this is a good shop! Next time I need my brakes done, I'm coming here, and I'm recommending them to literally everyone I know!

Had a vehicle in due to alignment issues after hitting a pothole. Figured something was broken but was delighted when was told it just needed an alignment. Definitely could have replaced something and charged me for it but instead did not try to upsell anything unnecessary. Was able to get my vehicle in same day and work was completed the next day. Romello was professional and courteous and would recommend this shop.

Had brakes pulsing when stopping. Gary from shop is a nice and professional. Prices have gone up however since last year. $400 for front pads and rotors last April, Over $600 for rear pads and rotors this year. Inflation I suppose . Overall satisfied with the job they did.

The owner is corrupt and not professional at all. Brought my vehicle in to them in June (2020) because brakes were grinding. They supposedly replaced the front brake pads, never inspected the rear brakes. Over phone said the estimate would be 100 less than what I paid around 350.00 and went back to check for a noise emanating from the brakes. See response below from owner. The owner is a big liar also.Response from the owner is that he does not recognize the vehicle and kept saying it supposed to be Red Explorer. But I never owned a red Explore. He could not find my name in his system and he did not know who am I. By the way, I still have all receipts from this store. Please do not use this place to repair and replace your brakes.Service: Brakes

Brought my vehicle in to them in June (2020) because brakes were grinding. They supposedly replaced the front brake pads, never inspected the rear brakes. Over phone said the estimate would be 100 less than what I paid at check out. Okay fine, but now it is sitting at firestone, and needs front and back brakes just 3 months later. That is going to cost me almost $700 for new brakes on front and back, due to "the brake shop", not inspecting the front and back to make sure it i didn't need back brakes as well. They talk a good game and are friendly as can be to gain your trust, and now I am having to pay a second time for new brakes in just 3 months. I would not recommend a child bringing a bicycle to these guys to fix.

Went in on a Saturday at noon to get a quote for brakes on a 2013 Ford Taurus. I was given a quote after they showed me exactly what needed to be fixed. They were able to get the work done the same day by 3pm. Very customer oriented and thorough! I would recommend this place to family and friends. It's nice to have customer service still mean something in the times we live. Thanks!!

This was my first trip to this repair facility. The people here are very friendly and will take the time to explain what needs to be done. I like that. I had my 07 Taurus brake lines repaired and a couple of other issues that they saw needed to be fixed (and yes, they actually did need to be fixed). These guys are honest. They didn t do any repairs without asking me first and they even asked me if I wanted my old parts back. That is very rare. The prices are reasonable and they even called me to follow up on my visit with them. I ve already given 2 referrals to friends for this place and so would recommend them and tbh I don t think I ve ever given any mechanic a 5 star rating and you don t find very many mechanics that are on the level. Went to The Brake Shop this morning to get a second quote on some rear brake replacements. The owner was very knowledgeable and gave me a fair price. His mechanic, John, did an amazing job cleaning and installing the new rear brake kit. No more noise or grinding. My new favorite shop.

I was visiting my hometown of Taylor and had just drove in from NJ. I thought that I had a brake leak issue but instead it was a transmission cooling failure (all trans fluid had leaked out). I found the Brake Shop on line, saw the reviews and decided to give them a try. I was given a complete hands-on, detailed inspection of the issue, followed up with a review of new parts and labor cost. In addition, I received update phone calls on the work progress. When I picked up my vehicle there was a price adjustment made to some parts and I paid less then quoted!!!! So nice to see honesty on display and I was treated with great professionalism; thank you for the great service and I would recommend the Brake Shop. ed

My brake lines dumped everything out of the master cylinder. Got my car towed in and was called with follow up throughout repairs. They fixed it quickly (24 feet of new brake lines on my 17 year old car), including a dodgy fuel filter I was aware was a problem. Didn't try to sell me services I didn't need and I will happily go back and recommend them to others.Service: Brakes

They took care of 1 of the problems but the "clicking/indicator" noise not. Told me to go to electrical shop. Later found out from Auto Zone it's my indicator switch/harness in the steering column. Nice folks who work there, just the owner not.

We needed to do the back brakes and one rotor for returning a lease vehicle. We got a good price and was done very fast, it was completed in half a day and did not have to wait for a long time. Dropped the car in the morning and got the call midday that the car was ready to be picked up.

I came into the brake shop on a whim for a brake repair and a tune up. After inspecting and diagnosing my car the mechanic thoroughly explained and showed me everything he found and was able to then accurately describe the reasoning for recommendations on the needed repairs. The pricing was also explained in detail to remove any doubts about fairness. The work was completed in a short time and I was on my way. I will be coming back to The Brake Shop for all my auto repairs. A++++!!

Very genuine and honest mechanics that I would highly recommend. They make you feel comfortable and provide top notch service with a smile. They offer free rides home for customers while they are working on your vehicle, which is an added bonus. I will definitely be going back here for future repairs.

The people at the brake shop was very caring and professional with me. I left the shop a very satisfied person .They did a great job ,my car driver so smooth.It feel like I'm driving a luxury car.He even show my my old parts and explain services he provided. The shop accept cash, credit cards, and has easy pay finance which is very helpful to me since I'm a part time worker.

Excellent! Friendly, honest, fair and fast. Needed some essential brake line replacements done and had the car back the same day. Highly recommended!UPDATE: Just had more work done...exhaust, oil pan and tune up. ALL work done fast, friendly and fair. Highly recommended...and not just for brakes!

I don't know a thing about cars or brakes or anything mechanical and because I was told that I needed brakes these guys could have took me for a ride, but they didn't. Many people in their line of business would have, but they were very honest. Not only were they honest, they also gave me a lesson by showing me exactly why I did not need brakes. Romelo has instantly become my friend and his staff as well. A thousand times thank you for saving me hundreds today. I don't care if I move to Clinton Township Michigan I will be driving my car all the way over here to get the services that this company provides.
