i have a hard time trusting mechanics but this place is amazing. i went in for a power steering issue, they explained everything to me and had it done within 5 hours. i was amazed how quickly they got it done and my car has never felt better!!!

I highly recommend this garage!! I was in a bind and they were courteous and very professional. They even got vehicle done sooner than what they said. I was beyond happy and very satisfied with their work! Very great garage with knowledgeable people will have no problem bringing other business to them

Car was shaking...Needed a tuneup. Got my car in fast on short notice same day. They were very thorough and nice! They even Picked me up when I was unable to find a ride to pick up vehicle.

This is the auto shop I use for my car repairs for the past two years, my car has not disappointed me since then.They have professional, smart and friendly staff. With them, be rest assured of uneventful journey.They charge fairly.

Chris at the front desk was knowledgeable and attentive and made sure to get enough info for the mechanics to diagnose correctly. Jesse my mechanic was quick, professional and had a expert knowledge of my vehicle even tho it was a uncommon make. Overall excellent service. The only downside was i wished i lived closer for future service. 10/10

Got a 84 w123 that I thought needed some brakes, tires and rear control arms. Turns out I didn t need rear control arms. I needed front tie rods, real axles, and a transmission mount. I wouldn t have know all of that if it weren t for Chris taking his time time to assess the my car. He also sent me pictures and videos to show me what was what was wrong. He still did the brakes and the tires but he also recommended the parts I should get. He really did great work. As soon as the other parts come in, I m definitely taking my car back to Redford Auto Repair to get the rest of the work completed. They re extremely efficient, knowledgeable, and professional.

Very good service and very friendly. I took two cars up there one of my cars I took up there a couple months ago and no problems to this day. I just recently took my other car up there and also no problems I would recommend this place to anyone.

Very friendly, reliable Knew Exactly what it was. When the other shop told me it was a starter, but it wasn t the starter. Really fast service I highly recommend to anyone trying to get their vehicle repaired

Had some noise while driving they checked it out and it was just a loose bolt which honestly they could have said anything and I would have believed it but they were honest and even tightened the bolt and didn't even charge me. If your looking for an honest shop then this is it.

Wasn t sure what was wrong with my 94 Chevy 1500 but these guys fixed it fast and cheap. Runs great now and they fixed the brakes as well.

Very unprofessional. Was told 1600 for a fuel pump and when I found someone else to do it cheaper he tried to charge me 250 for diagnostics. Even tho it s only 55 (I ve bought other cars before to them) said 100 dollars on the phone but when I got there he said he didn t know who I talked to even tho later on he said I sounded cocky on the phone how would he know that if he didn t answer the phone . Then started unnecessarily yelling at me because I wanted to pay the 100 that he said. Wouldn t release my keys and after he did followed me to my car calling me out my name and had to be held back by his mechanics. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE! I suggest taking your car and hard earned money somewhere else that won t overcharge you for simple stuff.

I have taken my car into Redford three separate times since July to get my AC fixed. Every time I take it in, they told me it was fixed and two weeks later my AC would stop working. I told them a couple of different times I felt like it might be something with the controls in the car.The first time I took it in was for overheating and the AC. They replaced my fan, said they fixed my AC and charged me $1100.The second time i took my car in for the AC again, they told me it was a leak, they charged me $425.This last time I took it in for the AC not working, they told me the AC wouldn't work in cold whether, which is wrong. They also told me the AC is working find, which it's not and the there was something wrong with the HVAC system and that it was going to cost me $850 to fix it. I told them I wouldn't be paying for any further parts, but would pay for labor. They refused to offer me any type of refund or make up for their mistake. The person on the phone was very impatient with me when I was trying to ask questions and said they didn't want to argue. I wasn't arguing, I was just asking questions. Also, my husband got the part they were talking about for $50, and it takes five minutes to replace.

Absolutely fantastic place to get your car fixed, very excellent service, and caring for the customer, And they were able to fix the car in one day knowing that I needed the car for work the next day.. I definitely recommend Redford Auto repair in Taylor, Michigan....

Have gone to Redford Auto repair several times for different repairs on my older car . So far have been very happy with the work that's been done. If you are looking for honesty and excellent auto repair work, run, don t walk, to Redford Auto and tell Mike Yvonne sent you. I have not had any additional issues with the repairs they did. I am usually skeptical with repair shops, especially being a woman, because I feel like they try to get over, but I didn t feel that way with Mike. Brought in a misfiring car. Explained it had a rough idle and at 45 would misfire. They popped my hood saw my EGR hose was a little loose (exhaust goes out it). Said pay 65$ for the diagonals right now that s your problem. 120$/hr to go any further. If you know anything about cars you know your exhaust having a leak would never cause a misfire. Also on my paperwork it said has trouble idling at 45. You can t idle at 45. Mechanics know there stuff but the main owner is just a business man, knows nothing about cars and just trying to make $ off the work of others.Service: General repairs & maintenance

My truck would only kick out heat while driving but blew out cold air while at idle. It's more than likely an air bubble that needs to be bled. I didn't even get any work done and I was charged $100 for such a simple diag.
