Unprofessional install. I came with a kicker amp sub combo that I knew fit behind the back seats of my F150. The manager also witnessed this. Him and the installer convinced me to go with their Rockford fosgate amp sub combo and take the kicker back. They acknowledged my location that I desired and it may take extra cable because of the distance from the battery. The manager was reluctant to install behind the seat but the installer indicated it could be done. I picked up the vehicle and had to split really quick to pick kids up from school. When I got home I realized the back seat was not able to close properly. Not only was the amp/sub not in the location I asked, it didn t fit and there were scrapes, gouges, and a dented grill. I called about exchanging it or even returning so I could get one that fit in the location. When talking to the manager in person he was making it out to be my fault because I asked for it to be located behind the seats. I decided to keep it so that I could write this review and did not want a display model. The sub sounds great but I paid for a new sub without gouges and dents and scrapes. I asked for a couple feet of cable so I could install further in and was given two pieces of scrap not even the same length. Asked for straps to hold the amp down and manager acted like straps didn t exist. I just can t believe seeing the damage was not immediately followed by, we need to fix this, that s not right. Very unprofessional.

I came in to purchase a remote start and alarm system for my wife's vehicle. Selected a system, confirmed with the rep if it worked with an app, which he explained that it would require a separate part, but they don't have one in stock, but can get one from the warehouse. I paid for everything up front so we could just bring the car in for the install when it's convenient for her. Two weeks later, we come to the store under the assumption it's enough time for the part to have arrived. The "Manager", as he declared himself after I wanted a refund, indicated he didn't know anything about the order needing the part, which he also didn't seem to find anything wrong with the fact of not knowing. He also informed me that the part wasn't included in the order and would still need to be paid for, even though this was my request with the original employee. The receipt listed in special instructions to have the Smart App module installed when in stock instead. The other employee, that conveniently took a phone call (on his cell phone) after I entered the store instead of helping a customer (also crazy but apparently we've reached a point of mediocre customer service) came over saying he could pick up the part from the Royal Oak store since he's going there tomorrow, if I still wanted to have the install completed. I declined as I would prefer to take my business elsewhere, due to the lack of care or respect for customers. No issue with the refund but to top it off the "Manager" decided to crumple up the original receipt and toss it in the trash, further letting me know that he found no issue with anything related to the transaction. While it's possible that he "could" potentially address it with the original salesman, I very highly doubt it. Very unfortunate interaction with a company I've done business with many times for prior vehicles.

Called and asked if they have open install appointments and they said no. Okay no problem, it was the last minute. THEN, i asked about a price...and then the guy on the phone told me it could be "tricky". I asked him what they actually DO, and he told me that " he's not going to go over how they install things..hes not an installer." Absurd way to talk to customers and having an audio background myself.... (this is a simple install i could easily do but am CHOOSING not to) When i dove further into the specifics of it all the level of unprofessionalism is amazing. Shop with caution, because if you don't let them finesse you, they are going to get ridiculous fast. I run 30 customer facing retail sales people out of 6 locations and if i would have EVER overheard one of my people talk to a customer like this guy did. I would fire them on the spot.I wont ever be back or give this place any business again.

Came in to buy an amp and was told I had to wait 20 minutes because they were on lunch. They say rigyin front of me and ate until I left the store. They were rude and unconcerned to help the customer. Terrible service. I had the 2021 Ram .

I called and asked questions about a starter. Anthony said I have a customer in front of me so he had to go. So if you have questions you have to visit the store? I explain to that is challenging that is why am calling. Then rudely said I got to go and hung up.

Anthony sold me a full set up from touch screen display to back up camera and voice command. The team installed everything clean and for a great price. My 2005 CTS is now fully updated to 2023.

The installers did great work! I couldn't get anyone to even take a look at doing an install on my custom bike, but Mickey Shorr came through! Awesome job! I've been without a radio for 2 years. This summer was a great one with my new Kenwood.

Thanks for doing a good work installing two 2-way Viper remote car starters on my 2 cars. I highly recommend anyone to have car remote starter installed at this Mickey Shorr location.

Went it to get my speaker wire changed out to better quality for better sound. Done it before in other new cars when I changed my radio/speakers. Guy at counter told me that I didn't know what I was talking about and when I explained what I did before on a new car he acted like I slapped his momma. I would never trust them to do anything to my cars, they have no knowledge or customer service skills. Very first thing when you google it talks about different Amp wires. Husband a dj and works professional woth music. No I don't need an Amp. Stay away!!!

My daughter and I came in to get a remote starter put on my grandaughter's car for Christmas. Adam and Mike were the salesmen for us. They both went above and beyond.They were friendly, patient, attentive, and very knowledgeable. They were fantastic and I truly appreciated the way things were handled. They made us feel like we were a priority and that our business was appreciated. I will definitively be returning for any future needs and I will also be recommending this location. I could not have asked for a better customer service experience.

I had a remote start put on my 2018 Ram this morning. The manager Jason was very helpful and talked with me on what I wanted, he started with the cheapest first and we were able to work out a good deal. Highly recommend Mickey Shorr for all remote starts and any other audio needs. Said it was 2hr job and they had it done in about 1 1/2hrs. I'll definitely be back if I need anything else. Thanks Jason!!!

This place did an amazing job on my truck, I have a 2016 F150 lariat.They put in fantastic equipment in,My the system sounds amazing!! Customer service is amazing Jake and I believe his name is David are fantastic wonderful employees. I can't say enough about how wonderful of an experience I had their highly highly highly recommended!!!

First time stepping foot into Mickey Shorr and service was excellent. Jason was a big help and very informative on what to expect on the stereo systems I was looking at. He definitely knows his stuff and I would recommend that you ask for him or any of the other staff that is present. Great experience I had! I'll go back to get whatever I need done.

Best place to get remote starters. Friendly staff and they price match but they always have the best prices in my opinion. Also, if your getting multiple items for your car they will give you a good deal. Have to get there early though because they have a line even before they open at 9am.

I want to give a shout out to Michael and Dave at Mickey Shorr in Taylor, Mich on telegraph. They were very helpful and knowledgeable on what I needed for my truck. They were honest and real far as what can be done, they work with u on prices for what u need for your vehicle. I recommend whoever looking for great service and great price on car stereo or alarm go see Michael at Mickey Shorr in Taylor great guy

Have had many car starters and radios put in here. Always have taken good care of me. Does not take appointments or night drop offs, so need to arrive about a half hr early to get in line if you want it done that day. If you know that ahead, easy to deal with.

Just left the store. And I must say, had a great experience. Jason who assisted me was very wise and was commented to getting me the most for my money. Everything turn out great, and my son is happy with our purchase for his car. Thanks again to Jason and his crew.

I have used this mickey shorr for many different projects from remote starters to window tint. I have never had any issues. I went there today needing some 4a wire. I only need a small piece, I didn't need a whole package. Mike the salesman behind the counter hooked me up with some of their leftover pieces. Now thats what I call good customer service.

These guys always take care of me, and set the bar on price. I was given a quote for wiring up my bass speakers, 50 for the wires and 50 for the labor. Seemed fair to me. After I searched around though, I found it was more than just fair, other places wanted 120 for labor and 80 for the wires alone. The garage is always full, but they can always get me in and out within a day or so too.

I had a wonderful experiance at this Mickey shorr. Went in and bought an alarm starter and received great service and great products. Much better than the guys at the Lincoln Park store. With the guys in the front like Adam, Jervon, and Mike really know how to take care of a customer. Paired with the installers in the back getting jobs done quick and right, you cant go wrong. This will forever be my go to place for anything car audio and starters. Keep it up guys.

Had them install radio worked fine for couple months. Then reception went bad. Tried installing another radio same thing. Tried a antenna they had. Even worse. Spent 4 hours there. Manager said he would check with other and get back to me. He never called. A week later after buying a new factory antenna. My mechanic at a shop found a bad connection. Didn t need the antenna just some one who knew what they were doing. I ll never deal with or recommend Mickey Shore to anyone!!!They suck.

HORRIBLE customer service! I called looking to purchase a high-end 2-way security system and remote starter for a car. I had a few pretty basic questions for the employee who answered the call, and all he kept telling me was to come on in and talk to him. Why would I come in if they didn't have anything that would serve my needs? Then when I asked again, he told me he had no idea what I was talking about...and these were very basic car security system concepts that were around over 15 years ago on a security system I had at the time. This guy sounded like quite a sales shark, worse than I'd ever dealt with before. It was as if he wanted me to hand over hundreds of dollars without having any clue what I was getting for it, if anything. I asked to speak to his manager. When the manager came on, I told him about the experience...and rather than try to make it right, he didn't seem to care much either. After this experience, I will NEVER set foot in this company's stores, nor will I recommend them to anyone...quite the opposite.
