Complete waste of money. SCAM. I took my jeep in to have them replace my rear shocks and fix my reverse lights. The next day they call me to say they took my shocks off but cannot replace them, and the issue with the reverse lights is due to some electrical component that will cost an additional $250 to fix. They refer me to Jeeperz Creeperz. I go to pick up my jeep and they charged me $120 for an 'electrical diagnosis,' and $55 for removing the shocks. In total, I spent $180.46 to pick up a jeep that was just as broken as it was when I brought it in. Thanks Heritage.

Friendly, trustworthy and cost-conscious. I've been taking Fords, Chevys, and Jeeps to them for years and always have always been happy with the diagnosis and the work.

Heritage Car Care is the only shop I trust to repair my vehicle. The price is fair, mechanics are efficient and pretty quick with the repairs. Each time I've called they've been prompt in getting my vehicle in. The lady in the office is friendly and professional. I highly recommend Heritage!

My vehicle's check engine light came on and then I started hearing a loud rattling coming from under the car the following day. Thought for sure I'd be looking at needing a new catalytic converter or worse. After having poor experiences at the dealer and different local shop for past vehicle service, I looked at Yelp and Google reviews to find a good place to go. Heritage Car Care is right around the corner from me and had great reviews so I gave them a call. I dropped off the vehicle at noon on a Friday. They called me with a diagnosis and a very fair quote a few hours later. Turned out the rattle and check engine light were two unrelated issues and simple fixes. I was able to pick up the vehicle the same day and for a fair price. The staff was also very pleasant and helpful. I will absolutely be going back and will recommend them to anyone in the area.Services: Exhaust, Auto maintenance

I've been going here for 20 years. I moved away 5 years ago, and still make the drive back here because I've never found more HONEST, COMPETENT and FAST mechanics ever. Great great service, great prices, great place. Front office is brilliant, wrenches are brilliant... legit mechanics are hard to find. This place is awesome.

I used to get quality work done here at a reasonable price, Now they charge prices like a dealership. The guys are nice, but way overpriced here. Wanted a simple blower motor and resistor put in, they quoted me $369. I bought the parts and had a certified mechanic friend put them in. Total cost $140 (Parts cost more than the labor lol). It takes less than 30 minutes to do this job. Did due diligence getting quotes from other shops for the same job, not one place quoted that high except the Chrysler dealer. Highest from local shops was $250. If I wanted to be ripped off with high markups I would've gone to a dealer in the first place. Won't take any business here.

Did some work on my car. I did not have an appointment but dropped it off on Monday and walked home. Said earliest they could get it in is Friday. But Corey called me Wednesday afternoon gave me the quote by Thursday picked it up. Work is always impeccable, super nice. Will always go back.

Heritage Car Care in Taylor is easily the best repair shop in the Metro Detroit area for my money. I have used them for the past 30 years, even when I lived 40 minutes away. Their chief mechanic, Dan, and his assistant, Ted, are top-notch in every capacity of auto repair. They,, and their staff are also full of integrity and give you more than your money's worth. I've had both domestic and import cars worked on at Heritage and never been anything short of highly satisfied. I would recommend giving them a try for ANY auto repair whatsoever. They give you a job well-done for a very reasonable price. What mainly keeps me coming back is they have been a family-owned repair shop since the 1960's, and are as honest as the day is long. Simply the best!

I brought my 2011 Mazda 3 here for diagnostics and repair after a misdiagnosed failed thermostat. They found the problem, fixed it for a reasonable price, and recommended some further maintenance to prevent other inevitable issues which I was very appreciative of. This place is our new go-to for maintenance!

I lived in the Downriver community for over 30 years and always took my cars to Heritage Car Care for service. They are honest, dependable and reasonably priced. I moved out of the area 5 years ago, and happened to be traveling through on my way to Florida when I heard a loud clunking noise. I was so fortunate to be near Heritage Car Care. Even though they were booked, they fit me in after a wait of only 30 minutes, diagnosed and took care of the problem. I was on my way with peace of mind.

Wow! THIS is truly an auto repair shop that is 5-star! They treated me with respect right from the moment I walked through the door. They also fixed my car perfectly, in a timely manner and at a very fair price. They may not be the cheapest around, but you truly get what you pay for when it comes to car repairs. I've learned this the hard way in my past unfortunately: ( Heritage Car Care is the ONLY place I will take my family's cars to now. Thanks to Ted and Dan and their office staff for a truly wonderful automotive repair experience.

I scheduled an appointment this time and they let me bring it in early (I was concerned due to the rain, I wouldn't make my appointment as it floods in my neighborhood). Fast, friendly service. Always taken care of!

I have been taking my vehicles here since I could drive. Dan and his team delivered a quality repair at great pricing with attention to detail that is not found at repair shops anymore. I feel comfortable sending my family there knowing that they will get a honest repair for honest money. I will continue to take all of my cars and trucks here for this type of service!

They do a great job. We have been going there for the past 7 years. They don't try to sell you anything. They just provide you with the information necessary for you to make the right decision. Ted runs an awesome shop! Great job!

I took my car in to get an alignment, told then I needed a 4 wheel alignment and was quoted $59.99. I told them exactly what I had replaced on the car and why I needed it. I saw then called later by the mechanic and was told you need a 4 wheel alignment and now it's going to be $99.00. I will never use our recommend this place to anyone. If you are quoted something it should stand. The answer I received from the guy working today is sorry the office ladies don't know exactly what we have to do in the back...

Dan & Tim, the owners are the most cordial and efficient men that you might hope to meet. Their staff is extremely knowledgeable and they won t try to SELL you on a service that you don t really have to have. They give you the facts as to what their inspection of your vehicle has revealed to them. And then they explain to you what alternatives you have then and down the road.Great shop! I couldn t be happier than having been referred to them by Mike and Tony at Rony s Body Shop just down the street. And Rony s is equally as honest and upfront with their clients too. They have done much work for me on my 1976 Eldorado convertible. Check them out too!

I took my vehicle in for a heater repair on a Sat, I was told it needed a thermostat and housing and they couldn't get the part until the following Monday. While the car was in the shop I asked that they also change the oil, I asked if the tire air pressure would be checked I was was told yes. The following Mon I paid for the repair and walked over to the lot to get into my car and immediately noticed a scratch on the driver side by the window, I notified the office and basically it was a he said she said, I told them when I dropped off the car this wasn't there and they said it couldn't have happened, it looks at if someone in a larger vehicle opened their door and hit me, I was frustrated by the way they handled the matter and upset that they didn't do more to prevent the damage from happening and the person responsible didn't do the right thing. Two days later I received an Onstar diagnostic report from GM stating all 4 tires are 6 lbs low on air and only 30% oil life left, I took the vehicle to Belle Tire and had air put in all tires and called the office at Heritage. The lady I spoke with said they probably didn't reset it when the oil was changed, all models are different blah blah blah.... I get this, however, my car is a Chevy and not some exotic foreign car, they should have known how to reset it or at least know where to find the information. She offered up a a lot of excuses and apologized and told me to come back and they would reset it and put air in the tires, I declined, I don't trust them now. This oil change was the most costliest, it was over $60, when I take it to the dealer I can at least get it done right and less money, this was inexcusable. I don't plan to ever give them my business again, which is unfortunate because I would have loved for the situation to have turned out differently and support a local business but they lost my trust and business.

Have been a loyal customer of Heritage Car Care for about 20 years. They consistently demonstrate honesty and integrity along with excellent automotive repair expertise.Example: two weeks ago, car and engine started shaking driving around Allen Park. Service engine now light came on. Had car towed to Heritage Car Care. I had no clue what might be wrong but expected the worse and a very expensive fix. Turned out a sensor went bad and messed up the cars computer system. The fix was a couple hundred dollars versus my fear of a couple of thousand. This is one of numerous times over the years Heritage was honest, fixed issue at a fair price and quickly.Highly recommended!

Honest, professional mechanics that aren't in the business to be screwing everybody like all these little middle eastern shops popping up all over the downriver area. Their head mechanic, Ted, went well out of his way to explain quite a bit of things about my shitty Chrysler 300 when it went in for a new timing chain/water pump and I commend them for helping me out when it seems like nobody else would, at a price I could afford. I'll only be buying new vehicles from now on but I will DEFINITELY recommend them to everybody that needs any kind of engine or electronic work, even though I actually work for a rivaling major tire chain. There's a reason why these people don't advertise and they're still busy.
