Outstanding service here. Honest good people and professional feedback. They don t waste your money or your time. My husband car was serviced there recently and they did a great job now my van is there and we know we can trust our vehicles here. Definitely better deals then dealerships saved us money for the same work. You won t regret doing business here and they also work with my warranty coverage I have on my vehicle.

Very professional and work with you on what needs to be done. They let you know all the work and the cost of each thing, then they'll let you know what needs urgent attention and what can wait a bit. They're not a money hungry shop that tells you, you need all this now, they understand people are on a budget and try to work with you. Not only that, they do excellent work! And they even work with insurances like CarShield. They take pride in their work and it shows!!! Definitely would recommend to anyone.

Doug and the team have done a great job on several repairs. I have found them to be very honest. In fact, one part on my car had to be sourced and they took extra care to be sure that the new (used!) one was correct and also in great shape. Doug's mechanic worked patiently to track down an issue which was challenging to diagnose and fix. I really appreciate this extra high-level care because my car is older and this allows me to drive this vehicle far longer and delay a purchase until a better time.So if you are out there and hoping that there is a mechanic who will be capable and also care enough to really fix your older vehicle-- It would be ideal to work cooperatively with Doug and his team! I can't say enough about this place .! They are Awesome! The whole staff was very friendly..they explain everything thoroughly. They keep you informed through the whole repair. I requested to have the car back they day if possible and they gave it 100% effort! They don't price Gouge and they make sure the job is done right!I had excellent service. Very grateful for Goddard Auto I had brakes, rotors, and calibers replaced recently. I had a issue with one of the calibers and they did not hesitate to fix it immediately. They even picked up my vehicle so I didn't have to risk driving it. Everything was completely covered under the warranty so it made my life easier considering having car troubles. I recommend them for anyone needing services.Service: Auto maintenance

Doug has always been good to us and our vehicles , he's a busy shop so it may take a little bit for your repair depending on what it is but he's worth the wait and prices are pretty fair

We took our 2012 dodge journey here for issues with leaking coolant, they said they replaced the thermostat and housing. Charges us $500. I used to work on vehicles so I know my ins and outs but did not have the time to do the repairs.. Upon visual inspection I could tell that they infact did not replace the thermostat housing because it was very old and dirty and the bolts had no visible signs that a wrench had been on them. We took the vehicle back and they admitted that they did not replace the housing but had replaced the thermostat. They refunded us $200. It still leaks from thermostat housing area.

Blew a ball joint on Eureka Rd in front of the airport on my way to work (thank you Michigan pot holes). Called Doug and he sent his tow truck right away. Got to the shop, got some paperwork taken care of, and he was nice enough to have one of his guys drive me to work (made it on time, thank God). Diagnosis took a couple of extra days (I know, being short handed is a huge issue during this time) but was very thorough. Now that I have my Trailblazer back, it rides as good as the day I bought it. Thanks Doug and team! You really did a great job!

Doug is amazing! He will always be honest about what's wrong with your car and even if he thinks it's worth fixing. He'll never try to sell you something just to make a buck. And when your car is fixed you know it's actually fixed. My husband's Grandma has been going here pretty much since they opened and we never take our cars anywhere else even if we know he's busy and can't get to it right away. I honestly would go without a car for a week before taking it somewhere else.

So my dad took his car to Goddard Auto whenever he had issues with it. Well when he got a new car he gave me his old one. About a month after I had it the back breaks went and needed to be replaced. I called my dad and asked him what to do. He told me to call Doug and take it in to them. I figured my car would be gone for days and that it would be super expensive but I was surprised that it was not at all. It was reasonable price wise and they only had my car for a few hours. I was impressed. Well the next day my car was making a terrible sound and so I called Doug and told him what it was doing, he said it sounded like one of the calipers was faulty. I told him I did not feel safe driving it out to him as it was dark and I have 2 small children. He told me no problem, not only did he send a tow truck to get it, but fixed it and I never had an issue with it after that. They are just a wonderful company and good people in general. I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Any type of car repair is expensive. Unless you have the knowledge and time to fix it yourself, don't complain about price when you take it to a shop. Doug spent a lot of time on customer service. He kept great communications on every step of my car's problems, quoting prices on parts and labor. Showed me what was fixed, showed me the parts removed etc. The money I spent at this shop was well spent. I would take any of my vehicles here again, and feel confident that if there are any issue's with the work I had done, they would be helpful in solving it.

Doug and his crew have been working on my and my family's cars for years now, and when I lived in Ohio I'd still drive up for maintenance - that says a lot! He is very honest and I totally trust his opinion. You know he isn't just trying to upsell you and he's never done a shoddy job on repairs. Highly recommend!

If you need QUALITY, HONEST, AND GREAT WORK this is the place to go! Doug is a great guy and works with you the best he can. He is a VERY HONEST man and that is very rare now days. This is the only place I take my cars to get worked on and I never have the same problem twice because it's fixed right the first time. Go there for your next repair, you won't regret it.

Called this place last week about a small problem with the car. Person on the phone was honest and let me know it would probably be Monday before they could get to it. So I made an appointment for monday, first thing, instead.Showed up early, and was welcomed as soon as I hit the door.Work only took a couple of hours and I am so pleased with how nice everyone is. I also got to meet a great doggo! Would recommend this place 100%. Will do business with them again in the future

Took my car for no start and battery drain problem 13 weeks later and 900 bill battery still dead every morning although they did get car to start Owner is polite although he complained about time he spent on it.13 weeks is a long time to wait and car not fixed. I took my car into their shop for a headlight wire short, took them 5 inconvenient days just to diagnose the issue and replaced a $10 headlight socket. After they raised my initial price 2 times once without ever consulting me. 5 days, $300 dollars, & a migraine later. I have a headlight that works again. Horrible customer service, extremely rude & inconvenient. If you require any of these values, look no further than this back water shop.Service: Electrical

After dealing with GAR for 10 years, this is the only place I trust to do my auto repairs. I won't even go anywhere else for a simple oil change anymore. Since I always drive older cars, I need a lot of repairs. I've found Doug always goes out of his way to try to get me the best price possible and the work is always done right the first time. Just once in all these years I had one complaint and they immediately made it right by getting my car back in and making other repairs at no cost to me. If you like getting lied to and raked over the coals on repairs, by all means, go somewhere else. But if you like your mechanic to be honest, up front, and knowledgeable, go to Goddard. There is a reason their lot is always full!

I learned about Goddard through word of mouth and began trusting them with a lemon car I unfortunately made the mistake of purchasing. When your knowledge of cars is limited, you turn to a mechanic to fill in the gaps to ensure you don't end up stranded and remain safe. Doug does a decent job with some basic repairs but when it comes to the more intricate repairs... be prepared to be frustrated with him. He charged me $100 for an engine diagnosis that he never actually diagnosed (no refund was offered). Often times you find yourself waiting for repairs much longer than you feel you should have to and often their excuse was they were busy. For a while I accepted their excuses (when I shouldnt have) until this happened. I took my car to him after my wheels had difficulty moving anytime I accelerated after it had been idle. After days waiting (and many inconveniences getting to work) he claimed it was the fuel pump. He later changed his diagnosis to it being wiring connected to the pump instead. He eventually gave my car back to me with a few fixings done and several hundred spent in the process. Within 5 minutes of leaving his lot my vehicle experienced the exact same issues I addressed to him. Before I could even turn back around, I was soon left stranded. I had the car towed back to him and had to wait ONCE AGAIN for yet another diagnosis. He called me back days later to inform me that the issue was the transmission. He wanted to charge me $2100 (parts + labor). His reasoning: he did not know how to replace the transmission and needed extra time while he read over an instruction manual. I suggested a discount for the inconvenience, he refused. I then took it to a transmission shop but not before he charged me $100 for a tow truck I should never have had to purchase to begin with (if he did the job right the first time). The transmission shop I took it to charged me only $1300 (nearly half of what Doug wanted to charge) and they got the job done within the day the part arrived at their place. Since then, I now get most of my work done at Elite Kar Care. They get repairs done within the deadlines you request from them and they give you a list of your cars issues without asking, free of charge. Skip Goddard and his training manual and head over to Elite Kar Care, you wont be disappointed!

If I could have gave it a zero I would.After spending $1,700I they still have not fixed the problem. They seem to have no clue what there doing. They changed my timing chain and I don't think it needed to be done.took back changed the throttle body another300 dollors, still doing samething. Total Incompetence,They should be sued for that s***

Goddard Auto Repair is the absolute best auto repair shop Downriver. I took my 1999 Olds Aurora to them because the dealer couldn't get it right. They repaired it first time and saved me over $1000, If you need your car repaired I highly recommend that you only go see Chuck and Doug over at Goddard Auto Repair.

I moved to the area last year and I've come to Goddard Auto Repair twice since my move. Both times I have been treated with respect and amazing service. The staff is super friendly and they were quick with getting my car back to me.
