As a female, dealing with mechanics has always been overwhelming to me. Not at Muffler Man. They respect me and they always do an excellent job at a great price. Mike, Will and Dan are all super easy to deal with. I truly feel like they go over and above to serve our community with integrity.

10/10 definitely recommend! GREAT SERVICE AND GREAT STAFF with great prices! I stopped at muffler man in Tawas to ask if they could check my exhaust (which a dealership told me needed fully replaced for $1600) they took it right in and even showed me the problem. They repaired it for less than $100. They also ended up fixing my engine oil cooler that same day for less than I was told from somewhere else (which I had an appointment for a few days later). The owners and shop manager were so friendly and caring. They were wonderful! I will definitely be going there for all of my vehicle needs from now on. Thank you Muffler Man of Tawas!!! You guys are amazing!

I was in a bind getting a full set of LT truck tires installed. They helped me out same day. I am grateful because all the other shops were booked. Mike fit me in bless him and his crew. He has many sales and good deals. I recommend his shop.for all your automotive needs.

Really great staff I never hesitate to bring my truck in to them. If there s an issue parts delay whatever I m kept up to date with full transparency and I m never disappointed with the turn around time or cost

I came in to get my vehicle inspected. And have my smart plugs and quills replaced. They were fast and efficient. Great customer service at a reasonable price. The owner Mike oversaw the whole probject a nature that my vehicle was taken care of as if it was his hthe. Owners are very caring about the community and their customers. A highly recommended to anybody that needs mechanical work done or exhaust work. Done, they're very efficient and affordable.

I came in because my vehicle oh kept Throw in a code for spark plug cylinder 5 and 6.After further inspecti owner being kind enough to show me how clogged up my cats. Were I decided to proceed that proceed to have my cats replaced? I give them a 5 star review for great Christmas service.

First off, I never write reviews. I am because they broke part of my vehicle and are refusing to pay for it. I took my vehicle here because it wouldn't start, they charged me $30 to tell me my battery was dead. When I got my vehicle back and started driving home I heard a loud noise so I pulled over, my wheel well guard was dragging on my tire. It looks like they ripped it off and then zip tied part of it back on. (My battery is located underneath the wheel well) I took pictures and called them and Mike, the owner, was very defensive! He said I ripped it off...mind you I'm 110 pounds, I don't think I could even do that. Very rude. I will never go back! Everyone I talk to about Muffler Man instatnly tells me they would never go there. I wish I knew what, apparently, everyone else knows!

Finally a honest repair shop! I ve taken 3 different cars there , and for once , they fixed my problem, without overcharging . Congratulations to the new owners keep up the good work.

I came to Mufflerman to have my exhaust checked out and the owner Mike talked me into dauls man it sounds great thanks Mufflerman i even picked up some MPGs , hats off to you guys on the great work !

As a woman im nervous about going somewhere to get work done and getting taken advantage of. The guys here are super professional and transparent they will take you in the back and actually show you what's wrong. It's hard to find a honest, affordable shop. I'll for sure be back for any work I'll need in the future. 10/10 would recommend

Seriously DO NOT GO HERE. I have a jeep wrangler and I needed. To replace all 4 catalytic converters and all 4 02sensors because my jeep was throwing the codes on my Jeep. Well I couldn't figure it out why the codes kept being thrown. So I sent it to muffler man for them to solve the problem and I stall everything new. So I brought my Jeep here for them to fix. Well I picked it up and they told me for some reason the O2 sensor codes are still popping up that they don't know why but my jeep is done so I go there and drive it straight home and than had family emergency and had to go out of town for a week. When I got back I started messing with my jeep and like most shops they would ask if you want your old catalytic converters back or they would just simply place them in the back of your car. Well my fault for not checking immediately to see if they were back there. But I noticed when I got back they were not in my Jeep. So I drove back to the shop and requested my catalytic converters and asked again why they couldn't fix the 02 sensors because my check engine light is on and my jeep is running funny. The worker said well that's crazy because when I drove it the check engine light was off. I said now I know your lying because the check engine light has never went off in my Jeep the whole time I have owned it plus you guys told me you couldn't get the 02 sensor codes to clear so that being said the check engine light has to be on in order for codes to be read.. They told me that it is impossible they are already in the garbage. I said garbage you mean you turned them in at the scrap yard and got the 3-400 dollars for my parts on top of the $300 dollar bill I was charged for putting new ones one. Than one of the workers come out and say by law they have to scrap them. I said by law I have to scrap them not you guys. They said well you didn't ask for them. I said seriously you being in the business you should know better and because I'm a woman you got over on me. So you charged me basically $800 for my catalytic converter to be replaced. They also charge me for new hardware. The bolts and nuts to connect the catalytic converter to my jeep. Well two months later I finally take my jeep for a ride to take my son out to the beach when I noticed it's louder and there is rattling. So I get out and notice that the exhaust is just hanging there on its own they never hung it back up and the "NEW HARDWARE" they charged me for was all old bolts that were not even the same 2 were to long to even be on there but all 4 bolts have almost completely backed out of my convertors leaving my jeep very loud because they put the wrong hardware on the Jeep. These bolts are all old and completely different but charged me a good amount for new hardware. I will never use they thief's again. If I were you I wouldn't use them either. I have pictures for proof. When I was at the shop they asked me what they could do to make it right? I said give me my catalytic converters back or the money and they said that it's not going to happen. What a terrible experience they are liars thieves and straight assholrs. Watch out for them. Im putting a complaint into bbb also and starting a lawsuit.

Muffler Man of Tawas is amazing! Fast, fair prices, nice people, and always a job well done. My service provider of choice indefinitely... Update 5/6/23: New owner's are great, service still amazing, and just a really great place to take your vehicles. My opinion still stands.

If you want an honest safe place with one of the very best mechanics on staff -- GO HERE!! when you ask for a safety check -- you can be sure it is a thorough inspection.They have taken care of my jeep many years ago, an old Dodge Ram truck with 324,000 miles in it and my current vehicle 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan. Anytime I plan along drive - like out to Oregon or a trip to Florida, I get a safety check. I always have peace of mind and never once had a problem when on all of my long distance trips.Definitely best place up here!!

They do not know Michigan your vehicle does not need a Cadillac converter in Michigan you're trying to force you to buy one and I don't think that's fair for that what they're doing forcing people to do what they don't have to do I needed some work done on my vehicle on the exhaust and they could not do because there was no catalytic converter on it thank you you lost a customer I'll go to Darrell's before I even go to you

I took a fleet work truck in for an oil change, tire rotation and to plug a leaking tire and I was in and out in about 25 minutes. It was very good service. Thanks Again!!! Steve

Had a Tie rod snap on my truck today. Dave answered his personal cell phone on a sunday to make sure I was taken care of! Referred me to a towing company instructed where to park the truck at the shop ...we have been taking both vehicles to muffler man since we moved up here and we will never use another business. Mechanics are rough and tough and honest! Communication is amazing, if they find things they call! prices are reasonable and they are just kind good hearted people 20 stars from us!

Dave & Cindy and Michael and ALL the mechanics are very helpful and HONEST. Saved me $235 on a starter told me its not that it's your keys, they were old and worn to the point I could pull them out of the ignition with it on, ordered new keys for $35 and haven't had a problem since. Wonderful place to take your car for ANY problem. I can't say enough about them they were highly recommended by a friend and I won't go anywhere else now

I'll never go there again! The gentlemen was rude and tried to charge me double for a muffler, than I got it for half the price right down the street. His wife was kind to me

My brake lines went out while I was returning from a trip. Stopped at the closest gas station. Mobile gas of Twas, MI, they were very helpful. Went the other step and called Muffler Man in Tawas to see if they could help. Muffler man employees came out and drove my car to their facility. They went the extra steps also. They had me back on the road for a very reasonable price. They even worked past their closing time. I would certainly recommend this service place to everyone and I know where my repair will be done in the future. Thank you for being there for me

Best mechanic around!!! This place is amazing! They did a fantastic job on my GMC Terrain!! I couldn't have been happier with the service they provided! You won't regret this mechanic, they're the best!! Wonderful owners & workers!! I won't go ANYWHERE else!!

The people here are FANTASTIC!! My friend was in Tawas visiting from detroit on vacation and her car needed to be fixed. This place got her in within a few hours and fixed it the same day!! She didn't have to be stranded! And whats even better is that they DID NOT over charge her! I didn't know people like this still existed!!

I have been doing business with muffler man for many years and have been very satisfied. I stopped at gateway park in tawas with my grandkids and my car key wouldn't turn over. So I called to see if they could tell me what I could do. They came to my car and got it started. So off to the shop to get it fixed. They saved me from having it towed. It's nice that we still have businesses that care. Thank you Cindy and Will.

Very helpful and honest place to take your vehicle. Took care of my exhaust leak while I waited and didn't sell me something that I didn't need. Five star if they had a/c in the waiting room.

Have been going there for over 20 years. Great service. Can drop off car, have it serviced and come back later. They give accurate diagnosis. Don't force things you don't need.
