Tony is quiet but awesome. Took Care of my exhausted exhaust system. Been here before,always on point with the work and services performed. If needed I'll be back.

I had my van towed there twice now unfortunately the second time my engine blew but Tony was really nice and the guy who worked on my van ( Matt) was super nice and very helpful. I would definitely recommend them and if I have any more car issues ( I dont) I will be taking it back to Matt

The mechanic did things to repair my car that I needed to have repaired but the main problem I came there for, after 3 return visits,he just can't seem to repair. So I'll have to go elsewhere.

These guys litter their stickers all over Sterling Heights. They blame a hobo for doing it, but apparently the hobo gets new versions of the sticker when they update the design or change the price.

Worst experience they tried giving me an estimate for a wheel hub at 315 each and it is only 50 dollars anywhere else 100 tops if you go top of the line and that does not include labor so definitely a rip off don't believe anything they say as soon as they see you are a female they jack the prices up

It is refreshing to know great customer service is not a lost art. The people at Brakes Xpress and More are wonderful. Rob and his staff are genuinely courteous and professional!I got there early in the morning after dropping the kids off at school. I know I needed new brakes and was hoping it would be done before I had to work at 11. Well of course, that was NOT the case. I needed some other things done. Rob was extremely helpful and understanding explaining what I needed exactly and NOT and I repeat NOT quoting me an ungodly amount. It was an extremely reasonably price, honestly; after he told me what I needed to have done, I started to get very nervous expecting the worse.Knowing that it would take the better part of the afternoon he had one of the employees drive me to work and when it was finished he came back and picked me up.I am now a loyal customer and I would easily recommend them to my friends and family.It is always nice when you find an establishment that still places excellent customer service at the top of their list. They really exemplify this and set a great standard for taking care of the customer.

I've taken both my car and my wife's car to these guys and they're fantastic! Fast, quality work, and decent prices. We moved about 25 min away from them and it's worth the drive to get our vehicles serviced here. I highly recommend this shop.

Tony and Matt are amazing. At other places in the past, I always got ripped off and never even got my car fixed. At Brakes Express they go above and beyond getting great prices and provide outstanding customer service. They treat you like family! I'm so happy I found this place.

Great experience. Excellent service. Looked into my car very quickly and efficiently. Alan was awesome, super kind, and helpful. He assisted me with pricing and for a girl with no credit got me approved for 1200$. I walked out paying 400$ for something that should have cost almost 600$. Definitely will be back!!

Tony is great at keeping the customer informed. My mini cooper needed spark plugs done and he called and coordinated with me whenever something happened. When the 3rd party supplier informed him that he couldn't get spark plugs I bought my own and Tony made sure I got my car back on time and I payed only for the labor. Great shop. Great service.

These guys really saved the day after I got a flat tire nearby... they were able to squeeze me in immediately (after 4, AND on a Saturday!) & they were outgoing, friendly people! It was actually a pleasure to do business with Matt and Tony. Not to mention so quick; I was out of there in less than 30 minutes!

This is the worst experience I ever had going to an auto mechanic. I went in to get my radiator looked at and he told me I needed an oil change. I will never go back here again. And after it was all said and done when we came back to get our car they had lost the keys for the car that was in front of it and I had to wait a half hour for a employee to come back with the keys to the car that was locking my car in.

The way my experience started is not the way it ended. I went in someone looked at my vehicle about 45 minutes or so, told me what was needed and not. Even wrote down the pricing and the items they said that I needed. When I went back it was a total different story. Price went from $650 to $1400 and the reason I was told is because they didnt really look at the vehicle well. Then after this display, told me they were sorry about the price shock. This was only said when I advised them not to do anything and I was coming to get it. Dear shop owners, price shock is not an effect. So in the future be HONEST with your customers and things wont seem so shady. As for now, NO, I would not recommend them.

Professional work for reasonable prices. I have never had a bad experience with these guys. Both Matt and Eli know their stuff, they dont just guess at what might be wrong with your vehicle. I read a review where somebody said Tony was a very good up seller, that statement is totally false. "When you run yer vehicle into the ground it's gonna need new parts, not just air in the tires". When you get tired of getting the ol pipe shoved without the grease go see the guys at Brake Express! Trust me you won't be bent over. Dedicated customer, Monty Services: Electrical repair, Brakes

Do not trust Tony, the owner, or his mechanic Matthew. They will run fake charges and repairs on you.If you complain about any of his fraudulent charges, Matthew will get mad and tell you to get out!

Went in for alignment and oil change. Was told they wouldn't do anything without calling me. They went ahead with the alignment without calling and then tried to charge me $30 more than what was discussed. This was adjusted after we spoke and I was able to pay what I was quoted.They were unable to give me the alignment numbers because "the printer was broken" so I just had to take their word for it.I checked my oil, they were almost a quart over filled. So I had to essentially redo my oil change myself. I was trying to avoid going under the car which is why I took it in and paid for it to be done.Don't be fooled by the Goodyear name like I was. Sad that I had to double check everything they did.

The guys who work here are incredibly nice. I went in to have my brakes done and they were more than helpful. They explained to me what exactly needed to be done and how much it would cost. It was more money than I had, so I told them I couldn't afford to get them done just yet. He explained to me that my car was in such horrible condition that he would feel terrible letting me drive off in such a dangerous car, so, without even meeting me prior to this time, he told me I could pay what I could, and pay the rest later. They worked on my car, and were extremely nice regardless of the fact I paid half of the total cost. They were so friendly, I WILL BE BACK for ANY other service I have simply because I can earn their trust to pay them in partial payments and their customer service is AMAZING. My car is so, so, so, so much better than what it was before I took it in. HIGHLY SATISFIED!

Tony at the front was SO slow. So rude answering other peoples questions WHILE dealing with me, as if I have all day. I was there first and he would take calls or other customer complaints. He even made fun of an older couple for asking HIM questions about their car, when he said they could just google it. He called my warranty company on my behalf and had the audacity to ask ME what was wrong with the car, when they are the ones who looked at and diagnosed my car with the issue it had. They were extremely slow and unhelpful. Its no wonder the place looks rundown. They are unprofessional, and I had problems with them years back too. Haven't changed a bit. They need a serious customer service lesson and new staff, possibly. DO NOT GO HERE.

I was so nervous taking my car in. Recently divorced and moved. My Ex Husband used to take care of these things. I could have been more pleased! The owners are great and you could even tell the employees were happy! Just over all the greatest place.

First I called up on a Wednesday to see if they could fit me in to put my tires on my car, the guy I talked to was more than confident that he could. I get up there and the employee at the front counter says they're booked and it would take over 2 hours for something like that. So I go back Thursday morning and drop my car off before they open, they get it in and put the tires on without calling to even ask me how I wanted it done. So I get back there to find that my tires are on the opposite way that I wanted them. I go in to talk to someone about it and all he says is they assumed since the other were like that then I must have wanted those tires the same way. Instead of calling me to confirm, I left my number with them so it isn't like they had no way of contacting me. But hey, you know what they say about assuming. I talked to the guy and made it clear that I was unhappy and his only response was "Well that's how I would want it if I were you." I'm only 17, I feel like I've been taken advantage of.UPDATE went back again, they are going to switch my tires out again for another $40, so basically they'll balance them for free. All said and done they were really nice this time around.

I went here to get my brakes repaired. I usually go to another shop but he didn't have anything for a couple days and my brakes were making a bad sound.I took it to Brakes Xpress and after an inspection they said it was the back brakes. No mention of the front brakes. Then the noise continues and coming back to their shop they say it's the front brakes. I made mention it was pretty strange that a place that was an expert on brakes missed that.They gave me a discount and proceeded to "fix them". Then a week later, the noise is back, with grinding. Another repair, time and money wasted.A few weeks and less than a few thousand miles later, noise is back. I called the owner, who said he would meet me halfway, that he understood it was frustrating, but he had to pay his guys, and so he pays for parts and I pay for labor.I disagreed, politely, and said I wanted my brakes fixed because that's what I paid for and 4 visits was too much. He concluded the call with a threat that I better watch my back. Then the other owner called and said they would fix it, as long as I didn't call the state or department of labor.Let me point out that my car was seen by a mechanic who is like family this entire process, because after the second time it was hard to trust them. He has been fixing cars his entire life and has never seen anything like this.They have now seen my car 6 or 7 times in 3 months or so and it is now worst than ever.This is absurdly dangerous. I can't afford to pay for brakes again, I already paid, and never got what I paid for.And when I ask for my brakes to be done correctly my life is threatened.So I tried texting the owner to ask, if he could pay for another mechanic to do it. Because a place that does brakes, and can't get it right in over 6 attempts does not deserve to be in business.They claimed multiple times it was a faulty part, well you stock those parts and this many repairs is too high to be an anomaly.

I called the day before I went in to ask about a groupon that I purchased. The guy told me I would need to spend an extra $30 for my brakes. I assumed this was because my brake pads were super expensive - not true. Several auto parts stores in the area had my brakes for about $30. The guy, Tony, that told me I'd need to shell out an additional fee didn't need to charge extra.The whole point of groupon is to get a new customer in the door, give them a good deal and wow them with excellent service so they'll become a regular customer. Tony did not understand this.When I arrived at the shop, the guy behind the counter was talking to another guy. I wasn't acknowledged, not with a wave/ eye contact, nothing for ten minutes. My intention was to ask for a breakdown of the cost and then decide if I wanted to use the groupon or trade in.After the 10 minutes, I walked out the door. As I was leaving, the guy behind the counter asked "do you need something, miss?"My reply was no. No, I do not need anything from this shop; no, I will never return; no, I will most certainly not recommend this shop and I will be spreading this story about my experience.I've never had a good experience with Goodyear shops. I gave this place a try, and it was a waste of my time.

Beyond satisfied with the service I received at Brakes Xpress. I went in to have a leak checked out and the guys worked quickly to diagnosis the problem and worked even harder to find me the best deal. I have only taken my Jeep Commander to the dealership but I found a better place, with reasonable pricing, financing options and a One Stop Shop for all of my auto needs.

They are selling Groupons for $10 oil changes but will not honor them. I called and they told me to get my money back from Groupon and hung up on me. He said he was the cleaning guy. Total rip off. If the Groupon is no longer valid ( it is still being sold on Groupon), THEY NEED to contact Groupon, not me.

Don t read the reviews as I m sure they re written by the staff. My friend as well as myself have both had our cars serviced here. They will give you an estimate for one thing and then try to upsell you for multiple other things that don t need to be replaced. My mechanic said that he has received multiple complaints about this place and that he would not refer ANYONE here for even a simple pad change. I went to have my pads/rotors replaced and while they got it on the lift, they said that it needed new tie rods. The tie rods were new so obviously they didn t need replacing so I declined. They said they can t take it off of the lift because it s a hazard and that I would have to have it towed. But they said it would just be easier and cheaper for us to fix it for you . The police were called after they refused to take my car off of the lift. A year later and the extremely worn tie rods are still in new condition. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would.

Been to this place on a few different occasions. Rob (the man @ the front desk) is nice & personable. The prices can be steep, but they do a very good job at fixing your car. Would recommend.
