Great place!!! I love that it s family owned (second generation), and the staff have been there forever. Friendly, efficient, excellent work, and the cost is better than other places I ve seen. I m sold on this place and you will see me as a repeat customer with my five cars!!!!

I've been going Auto Medics on Auburn Road for years, and lately they become rip offs in price. They wanted $270 for radiator flush and I had one done at classic automotive for 100. Classic automotive is clean professional and fast. I can't say enough good things about them and they've been in business for over 30 years, taking all my cars to them in the future for my business because they're honest and they don't try to scalp you in the price .

This place is awesome. They are honest and have a fair price. The main thing I was worried about was being a single female taking in a car and being mislead or lied to but that was definitely not the case here. They are busy but they got my breaks done very fast.

Great customer service call me the parts that were definitely needed and gave me the option for the rest which I went for. There was a lot of rotted parts underneath for 20 year old Trailblazer Good Old mission roads they took the time their expertise and did a first class job and reasonable. Drives like a new car except $50,000+ cheaper.. thanks for everybody that worked on my car you did a great job

When the reviews say that these guys are honest, it is truly an understatement. I was referred here by my coworkers for my engine issue. I drop my car off and speak with the guys about the possible problem. I tell them that depending on the price for the engine repair, I may want them to take care of my brakes too while they have the car. Steve calls me to tell the issue with the engine and the cost. He then tells me that I don't need to get my brakes done right away as they were still good and would last me for a while. They could have easily told me different and charged me for the brakes. They are awesome, kind, fair and honest. They have a customer for life. :-)Service: Engine repair

I heard about this place through my Dad who was a mechanic in the Army back in his day, so if he recommended this place, I knew it was the place to go. Any issues I ve EVER had with my car I ve always come here and they ve always been extremely helpful, educated and most importantly, FAIR. Most auto shops will try to drain you for every penny. Classic Automotive Repair will make any suggestions or recommendations needed, but will be up front and honest about if it s something that can wait or if it s serious and needs to be addressed asap. I ve referred everyone I know to them and they ve all had excellent experiences as well. They absolutely have a lifelong (or at the very least car owner long) customer in me! This team of kind and respectful people are the reason I drive out of my way to have my car repaired. Their prices are very reasonable, their work is always thorough and complete. I had an issue with my brakes after they had already repaired them, and they fixed it. Pre pandemic they almost always had our vehicles done before expected. They have been very honest and trustworthy. I don't trust anyone else to repair my cars. We've been coming here for over 12 years and are highly satisfied. Thanks Classic Automotive!

One of the best auto places around. The people are great. Just to help me out when I needed someone the most. I would love to bring my vehicle to some of the nicest men I've meet in my 54 years of life. They make you feel welcome and their reasonable. I'm glad I got the chance to meet the manager. Love this guy spirit.

I highly recommend Classic Automotive Repair.It really is a friendly honest business.Very easy to work with, and they stand by their work.I drive a little farther to get there but it's worth it.

Only place I'll take my car. They are very honest and will be realistic with what you need done. They don't try to upsell you unnecessary services. Took my car to another place (hint: at 11 and woodward), and they were trying to upsell me over $1,200 worth of stuff for standard maintenance/transmissions fluid change, went to Classic Auto for a second opinion, and they told me what I ACTUALLY needed done on my car for just a couple hundred bucks. Definitely trust this place.Service: Auto maintenance

This is hands down THE BEST!! I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've been screwed over by mechanics, but you already know how that feels. Classic is the only place I've found that employs actual honest to god mechanics. They always go above and beyond to keep my family car safe. If your searching for a place to fix your car and your reading this, trust that I hate mechanics that try to swindle hard working people and classic would never.

When moving here from out of state, I was nervous to find a reliable car shop that didn t try to up sell with every job. These guys (especially Gus and Steve) are amazing to work with and are always speedy with the work I need done. I have been here multiple times, and will continue to bring my business here.

Haven t been here in over 10 years with older vehicles in the past when the father-in-law still ran the place. Just went here to get an exhaust leak on my 2010 limited Taurus fixed. I told Gus I d like the least expensive repair as we are trading vehicle in to a dealer come summer 2021. They said it d be a day before they could look at it, sure no problem. As promised they called early afternoon the next day which happened to be a Friday and said it would be only $200 but couldn t get it done til Monday. I said ok with the price and asked if there was anyway it could be done today I d be grateful. With an hour to spare before they closed Gus called and said vehicle was ready. Needless to say we were there within 5 minutes paid the fee and drove away with a nice quiet car.Thank you so much Gus and Classic Automotive Repair!

These guys are honestly the best. I live around mid-Michigan, but I will be sure to bring my car here for any technical issues. They provide excellent customer service at an affordable price. A big-chain company installed some parts in my car incorrectly, causing transmission damage, and ultimately making my car a death-trap. I was able to get my car into Classic Automotive Repair, and they fixed the issue no problem in a timely manner. I'm honestly so grateful for them, and look forward to working with them in the future. Keep up the awesome work!

Reliable auto service, been operating for 30 years. Steve's one of the front desk guys, friendly and knowledgeable. These guys are honest and it's what keeps them busy.No appointments. First come first serve. They open at 8 and basically are full up with work before 11, sometimes 10. And they'll call you with a quote before having to go into the labor. I live in Detroit, but I drive up to Sterling Heights here for any auto work. 5/5

The staff at Classic Automotive Repair were top notch!! Gus and steve tackled the bearing and seal in my Differential with ease! I would Recommend them to anyone who has automotive repair needs. They had it done in less than two days...Great job guys!!

I would recommend this place to anyone. I do not know too much about cars making me easy pickings for any mechanic who wants to charge me too much for something, but I have always felt I could trust these guys. I was sent here by other mechanics who said I needed a specific repair and these guys have checked it out and sometimes have told me that I don't even need those repairs when they could have just taken my money. I have had pleasant experiences with the owner as well as multiple mechanics. Make this your go to repair shop!

My sister began going to them 3yrs ago or so & she felt they were friendly knowledgeable fair & trustworthy so i knew eventually id use them bcuz i wz no longer near my mechanic. Good service. I wz pleased with everythg & even whn there seemed 2B an issue aftr leaving I circled back they immediately checked it out, drove it including the Mgr. Steve several times & Explained what they thought happen which I gained knowledge with my sons car! We've had several family members take their cars & are satisfied they may hv the whole family soon. I will be bringing my car soon for work! Pleased

My family has been coming here for over 5 years now. Al has reasonable prices, and does a great job at recommending economical fixes for our old cars. It's very hard to find a trustworthy mechanic, and I'm holding on to this one. I'm even moving to Ferndale in the coming months but will keep coming here because of how hard it is to find a reliable mechanic.

I was referred to Classic Automotive Repair to avoid getting overcharged by the dealer. I am so glad that I did! The guys at Classic Automotive really took care of me and took the time to explain what was wrong with my vehicle. The shop manager, Steve, was very thorough and honest. I will be referring business to them and taking my cars back to them going forward. Don't hesitate to come here, especially if you are concerned about being taking advantage of or overcharged!

We have been going here for over 25 years. I've never had an issue or a complaint about the work or the cost of service. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and won't rip you off. We've gone in with engine light showing. They've run the codes and asked a few questions, did we have our oil changed recently? Yep! They took it into a bay, hoisted it up, reseated a loose wire to an oxygen sensor near where the oil filter is. Said it probably got knocked loose during the oil change. Cleared the code, brought it back out and said no charge. I've had transmissions, a/c, brakes, etc... done here, I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Great shop. Never overcharge and will not fix what's not broken. Repairs were easily explained and they get my truck back to me asap. Steve will always be my "guy" whenever a friend needs a good shop

I took my car to Classic Auto for a new alternator. When a took the car in the radio was on and when I picked up the car the radio was fried. They said its not their responsibility. It cost me $800 get my radio replaced. They said they couldn t have shorted out the radio because they replace alternators all the time and couldn t make that kind of mistake. Next step is small claims court.Service: Electrical
