We were in Michigan visiting family for thanksgiving and my check engine light came on as we were driving home. We called the shop on a Sunday and he said he could take a look at the car right away. Thankfully it wasn't anything serious. He did a great job explaining that the car was in good condition to get home and our battery was coming to the end of its life. Super thankful for his help and professionalism.

Very responsive! I emailed with a request for a quote, and I heard back within 15 minutes! Scheduled to have him give me an estimate which was more than fair. Ordered the part; that came in 2 days later. Start to finish less than one week. Very nice guy. Will call him again next time I need work on my car.

They were great. Got me in and out tithing an hour and a half for a front wheel bearing replacement. I bought the wheel bearing previously with the intention of replacing it myself but was having a hard time figuring out which one it was. Yes, I got all the wheels off the ground to test each wheel separately but could not figure out if it was the left or right front. They figured it out, so I just had them replace it.

Honest and trustworthy guy. I have been going to him for over 3 years now and does all my car repairs here in Michigan. Moved here from chicago a while back and I am glad I stumbled across his shop as I drive an older car I needed someone who has reasonable pricing and someone who does good work. Thank you Subu for you help. I sold my car and give your contact info to him. Not sure you ll remember me as I didn t not need to come to you for a while now. I had the 2006 Lexus is250 you did the spark plugs and coils on it last time. Appreciate your work. Thank you!

Beware going to this place. I went there to check my car and i specifically told them i have the bumper issue can they fix. In the text message and over phone call they said yes. So i went there to checked my car and they told me they cannot fix my car and still charge me 25$. I understand they charge inspection fees and some people just want to know whats wrong with there car but uf the owner cannot fix your car they should not charge you. Such a scam practice

I just called this company due to their high reviews to get an estimate for brake replacement, front and rear. The man that answered was Subbu, I believe the owner. He quotes me $500. As I'm expressing my shock, he interrupts me, says he is getting another call, and hangs up lol. There are so many issues here. $500 is outrageous to replace pads and rotors. But beyond that, to put me on hold as I'm talking to you about a potential repair, then to hang up is ridiculous. So glad we dodged a bullet here.

I came in with brake issues and my car was looked at in a timely manner. The owner, Subbu, was great. His communication was great, he has a good attention to detail and the price for repair was very reasonable. He took extra time to make sure my brakes were bled properly. I will gladly take my car here again and I recommend him if you need car repairs as well.

Great guy, very upfront with you about what's going on, and is open about his pricing. I got an oil change and asked for tire rotation and he could have easily done it, but he let me know that it would have not mattered because my tires needed to be replaced and saved me the extra money. Great shop.

Subbu was excellent to deal with! Replaced my alternator at a very reasonable cost and was very thorough with inspecting my car. Was great with communicating and very accommodating when I needed to tow my car to the shop after hours.

Had to get my front bumper completely replaced. I asked for a full inspection. They adjusted my back bumper as well as replacing my control joints on the axle. I notice he didn't overcharge and gave me exactly as I needed.Even provided me with an update as to when I'd need my brakes looked at as well. Very good service, honest and affordable. Knows exactly what you need and are looking for.

Great place to get any work done on your car. Professional work and a very trustworthy crew. Subbu was great!!! Amazing customer service. Will definitely go to this place again for any work on my car. They are very accommodating to my schedule and even dldid some same day work for me so that I can continue on with my busy day and schedule. Very fairly priced as well. And very honest as to what exactly needs to be done. They don't try and make you do all this other unnecessary things you don't really need to get done on your car. Love Car Doc and their service and I give them my highest recommendation!!-Vick

Subbu, was excellent he provided great service. I needed some repair done to my car after a check engine light came on and he was kind enough to service me on Sunday before Labor Day! He was sure to provide me prompt service and my car was complete within a couple hours. I have not had any major issues and am satisfied with the service. Thank you Car Doc

Car doc is fantastic. I have been going for a few years now. And now my entire family brings their cars to Subbu. He is always friendly and thorough. And he is well trained and knows what he is doing. And his prices are way better than the chains or the dealerships.I had an exhaust problem with my car that was going to run over $1000 at the dealership - he found a way to fix it for $350!Fair prices, good service, no unnecessary extras - can't ask for much more.Thanks Subbu!

Yes, finally a mechanic I trust. The owner, Subbu, is an experienced mechanic and shows that it is more important to help people out than to make the big bucks. He is honest, professional and makes sure his service is great.I just moved to the area and bought a new car. I came to Car Doc for a third-party check, and Subbu was happy to help us out. For a firm price of $70 he checked all aspects of the car, gave me information regarding a good final price for the car, and a little report to show the dealer I was buying the car from. I ended up buying the car and it has been perfect for us.Subbu, thank you so much for your service. The car is so much more comfortable now I know I actually bought a great car.

BEST car service in the area. Always available when we need him, very honest and hard working, lets us know the services our vehicle needs prior to starting the work, and more importantly, the MOST reasonable prices in the area. We have 3 vehicles and Subuu is knowledgeable on both makes.....Dodge and Honda. He takes such great care of our vehicles that we will not go to anyone else. He extended the life of an older Dodge and even offered to help us sell it if we didn't find a buyer. HIGHLY recommend this awesome mechanic to any and every one!!

Great service! Being a female who doesn t know much about cars, I am always nervous taking my car in because they could throw in unnecessary costs and etc. however, car doc really made me feel empowered and explained everything to me to a level which I would understand. They were great, and they prices were good too. Highly recommend!

Highly Recommend!!! We take our vehicles to Subbu @ Car Doc. He is prompt, competitive in his pricing, and most of all, honest. We have several vehicles of different makes and models (new and old) in our work fleet and our personal vehicles. Car Doc has provided services to each one - from regular oil changes, diagnostics, and parts replacement. Car Doc has kept us in reliable transportation. Finding a good mechanic these days isn't easy, and we are very happy we found Car Doc.

Got a vehicle inspection done here before buying a used car. Mr. Subbu is honest, knowledgeable, professional and customer friendly. He highlighted a couple of things that the car needed, categorizing them as immediately, in some months time and in the longer term. This helped me make a much more informed decision. Although a bit on the pricier side for the "Vehicle Inspection" service, I would still recommend this place to anyone because of what one gets here.

Accommodating with same day appointments, including on the weekends. Good communication regarding repairs and he takes the time to explain issues with vehicle. Prices are reasonable and explains options available to client prior to starting work to ensure their are no unecessary or unexpected costs. Would highly recommend !

I do all my car work myself, but when I don't have the time or inclination, I go to Car Doc. Subbu, the owner, is very pleasant and agreeable to work with. His estimates are very competitive and more importantly, the work is of very high quality. Because this is a small shop, the time to get anything done is very quick. In general, the car repair business is shady and full of surprises, but this shop is not like that at all. People don't realize that a car is not like a fridge or microwave, it is a very complex, highly engineered machine in which things don't actually go wrong as often as they should. But when they do, you should have a reliable, honest and straightforward repair facility to go to, and in my opinion, this is that facility!!

Had a positive experience at Car Doc with Subbu. He diagnosed and fixed my AC issue within 24 hours and looked at a few other things I had mentioned and gave me his honest opinion. Great shop, will be back.

The guys at Car Doc gave me a great price on replacing a starter on my 1999 Ford F250. Same day service they had it complete within just a few short hours. I will definitely be returning for more service and would recommend them to anyone.

If I could rate this experience a ZERO, I would. Absolutely disgusting customer service.I drive a 2001 Honda Accord and this is my second time coming to this shop. The diagnostic fee is $70. Seems a little steep but I was advised the diagnostic fee would go towards repairs.The first time I went in around April, my car had a service engine light on. He advised me I probably just needed an oil change. He charged me around $130 for a basic oil change. I m no math wizard, but $30 (oil change) - $70 (diagnostic fee application) = -$40... so by this math, he charged me $85 in labor to change my oil. FYI, you can get an oil change for my car for $20 (Roseville, MI)... OK, whatever...My car died driving on 696 during morning rush hour(s) traffic. I managed to make it to the shoulder of 696. I called doc repair around 10:30 to confirm we could drop my 2001 Honda Accord off in a few hours. The owner confirmed and stated he would look at it today (Friday), no problem. The tow truck took it to the owner around 12:30pm, we explained the situation and he stated again, he would look at it today (Friday) and give me a call that evening.Lo and behold, no call Friday. I called him at noon (Saturday) and asked what the diagnosis was. He stated he had been preoccupied looking at the same car that came before mine. I asked him would he be likely to look at it, he told me he would try for tomorrow (Sunday) but it would likely be Tuesday when he would have time to look at it.I hung up the phone and immediately contacted my boyfriend, who had referred to Car Doc. We worked on finding a tow truck to tow it 2 miles down the street, which ended up costing $60 (a steal for these parts, apparently - All American Towing!). We met the towing company at car doc and the owner got in a car and drove away.I have a spare key to get into my car. I walked over to my car and noticed my door unlocked and my keys were tied to the steering wheel!!!The tow truck driver started putting my car on his ramp. The owner came back and approached my boyfriend. My boyfriend explained we didn t have time to wait until Tuesday after we had been told Friday originally. The owner stated he would be able to look at it possibly Sunday, but definitely Tuesday. We politely declined and left.My car is how I make a living and how I am taking a vacation Wednesday morning with my boyfriend. I have missed an entire day of work because of my car s failing, after I was told by the owner I needed an oil change and then was drastically over charged for the oil change. I would not recommend anybody take their vehicle to Car Doc. The service is not reliable, consistent, trustworthy, transparent or customer based. I am truly disappointed because I go out of my way to support local businesses.Edit: on 12/6/19 my boyfriend convinced me to give this place another chance. I didn t want to but reluctantly dropped my car off at his lot, anyhow. When I contacted him, he advised his diagnostic fee was $75. I provided him the info on the issue and my boyfriends contact info. He then advised he wouldn t service my vehicle. I picked my vehicle up an hour later. I wish I wouldn t have listened to my boyfriend. Waste of space shop!!

We have a fleet of vehicles and once our mechanic retired, I wasn t sure what to do. I read the Google reviews about Car Doc, so I tried him and have not been disappointed. He has been doing a great job and lets me know if something needs to be repaired or Is good. I trust him and his prices are fair.

I brought my 07 mustang that had a nasty coolant leak and car doc was able to quickly diagnose and order parts and repair the vehicle in a timely manner. The owner was extremely professional and thorough and it was top notch work. 10/10 would come again

Had some really bad grinding going on with the brakes, even though they were all new, but I installed. Car Doc found the problem, and fixed while I waited, on a Sunday! Price was good for a good amount of work that had to get done.

Subbu was great! He listened intently when I tried to explain the noise my car was making and even went for a test drive with me so we could hear it. The work was done the same day. I will definitely come back any time I need car repairs.

My Engine oil was low and I had to add 2 quarts of oil. I took my car for inspection.. All they did was check the oil level. I was told that my oil level was low and that I was due for an oil change which I already knew. He also mentioned about a GM bulletin about older cars needing regular oil top off. Charged me $75 for this which in my opinion is rip off.
