Hammer Auto Sales TestimonialI found myself unexpectedly shopping for a vehicle in October 2020. I had totaled my Subaru in an accident and was not prepared for a vehicle search. After online shopping in Grand Rapids, Cadillac, Big Rapids, Mount Pleasant, Muskegon and even online for anything anywhere in the United States (I was prepared to fly somewhere) I found the perfect vehicle in my own back yard. Hammer Auto Sales in Stanwood Michigan had the best offering of used vehicles at the best prices I could find.I went to test drive a number of vehicles on their lot but fell in love with a Lexus 250 they had recently brought up from Florida. It was the first vehicle I test drove and Eric warned me that I would not want to test anything else on the lot. He was SO right! After a 25 minute drive I knew it was the car for me.They were extremely professional even during our Covid outbreak. They held the vehicle for me while my insurance company worked out a settlement and they worked hard to have all the paperwork in order when I was able to make the payment. Transfer of title, license plates, and Michigan registration were all taken care of at pick up.I have been driving the Lexus for a few months and it is hands down my favorite vehicle I ve ever owned. I trust them completely and wouldn t recommend any dealer over them. They provide quality vehicles at affordable prices.Thank you Hammer Auto Sales for lining me up with a car that I expect to take me on great adventures for years to come!

Wonderful people! My dad has been trying to get me a car for quite some time, but everything was outside of our budget. Hammer Auto Sales helped me dad look at cars and find other cars for us. We bought a 2002 Nissan Infiniti QX4 for them, and it is the perfect car for me! It is in great condition, and they were wonderful to work with! Highly recommend!

The owners were great! I had some trouble with the bank working on my loan, and they happily held the car I wanted for several days until I could straighten it out.I initially contacted them about a different car, but were quick to show me a better mileage and newer version of the same car, and knocked the price down to match the initial vehicle I was looking at.Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed working the owners. I can't recommend them enough! If you're on the fence about working with them, just give them a call and talk to them!

While, I haven t had experience buying a car from them, they were very helpful in answering any questions about potential cars on their lot that I was interested in. They also helped me with issues with my own current car. They are wonderful people, oh and did I mention I m a former tenant of theirs as well! They were great landlords as well, that helped me get back on my feet and be able to get my life on track. Eric and Jan are excellent to work with and are just amazing people. They are very honest and have a great variety. You can tell that they aren't one of those dealerships just trying to make the biggest sale, they really want to get their customers in the perfect vehicle for them. Owners have years of automotive sales experience. Their vehicles go through full safety inspections and are made road safe. All are ran through a detail facility. I've been pleased with the purchase of my 07 Saturn Vue. No major issues outside of routine maintenance. 162,000 miles and going strong!Highly recommend this dealership even if it's a trip out of town. They have a wonderful following within and around their community! 5 stars all the way!

Found out the hard way I had no working brake lights on vehicle I bought from them and the hood latch broke on the 3rd time of opening hood not happy also we have had the car 2 weeks and it doesn't want to start all the time never again will I buy from you. Do better

I found a few cars that I wanted to look at from here. Eric, the owner, was very helpful, and courteous with helping me find what I was looking for. I didn't just buy 1 vehicle, I bought 2. Got a very fair deal. He even took time out of his day to come and get my friend Karen and I so we could pick them both up at the same time. I will definitely buy from him again. I absolutely love my truck and car. Thank you for everything Eric.

I purchased a pre-owned vehicle from Eric for my daughter and the experience was "truly exceptional". Eric treated me like family and I never felt like I was just another sale to him. My Husband and I have been going to Hammer Auto for about a year in sure what we want. I bounced all around dealership to dealership unsure who to trust. Today my husband and I finally pulled the plug and got a Ford Edge. Eric and his wife Jan have got to be the most genuine car sales people I have ever came across. Neither of them pressured us into anything, nor have they at anytime while testing many SUVs we found the right one, and they were just as excited to work with us as we were to work with them. I would recommend them to anyone who is interested in a vehicle if you unsure what you want don t be afraid to test drive until you know exactly what you want! But hands down it was such a pleasant experience working with the two of them today, and I am sure will be back in the future.

Very honest and very eager to work within our budget. I would highly recommend this dealership. They went the extra mile to find us the perfect vehicle. I drove away from the lot in my new (to me) SUV feeling confident I got the best deal for my money.

Amazing and friendly service, went out of their way to help me get in a vehicle the day after my previous one broke down. Only car salesmen I've ever met that would get my return business. Would recommend to anyone in the Big Rapids area not looking to get the short end of the stick.

If I could give zero stars I would. I don't recommend this place to anyone if you are looking for a vehicle. They will lie right to your face and tell you the car is fine but it's not. I bought a jeep from these people and was told the car went through inspection and fixed everything that needed to be fixed. A day later my car started making loud noises and all the dash lights came on. I messaged these people back and told them the problem and they called me a liar nd told me that the car was fine when they had it. Dont trust these people. They're liars and will do anything they can to get the money. Also I asked before purchasing if they could fix a simple problem and they told me that it was above their pay grade. Who says that?

We've just bought another car from Hammer Auto Sales this is the 2nd one and we have been completely satisfied. The price was great, the service exceptional and they will be our future place to go when we need our next vehicle. If you're in need of a good ride I would suggest you check out what they currently have in their lot now and keep checking they constantly have new vehicles coming in all the time you won't be disappointed we weren't!!!!

My husband Rein and I have know Eric for many years, and purchased several cars from him. He makes buying a car so easy, from finding you a super clean and reliable vehicle, doing all the paperwork, and sometimes even delivering it right to your door in a snowstorm! He takes customer service to that next level and we trust him completely with all our transportation needs.

Bought a 2008 Ford edge 1 week ago today.. Not even 24 hours old and had transmission problems.. The engine overheated yesterday and low and behold the motor is now garbage... Now not only am I put 6700 but also a vehicle.. Never again will I return or recommend these guys to anyone. In a hurry to sell you junk..
