Went to Deals on Wheels wanted to get a car checked out by an independent mechanic I know and trust. They told me they could check it out for me I said I want. My mechanic they said that " we can't let you do that ". So what is wrong with the car that they don't want me to know

Still waiting for him to call me back about a 4x4 truck I wanted to purchase but ain't heard from him still! Will update as soon as something positive happens. Update: They never ever called back, it will be a cold day in a hot place before I will go here again, I do not recommend them at all, unless they change there ways of DOING business!

One star only because they agreed to meet on a Sunday. Looked at a 2008 Jeep Patriot. AD said Low Mileage, Nice and clean. 69,000 miles. Got there early and went over entire vehicle. Flood Vehicle!!!Completely rusted out underneath. Everything I saw was severely rusted badly. Bolts on driver's seat were rusted and had what looked like salt water corrosion. Didn't say that or anything near it in the AD. Vehicle was filthy inside and out. Don't believe thier online ADs. Not a good experience. Won't recommend anyone to them.

My husband was in a bad car accident and our vehicle was totalled. They helped get us into a good reliable vehicle within our budget. Knowledgable staff from office to mechanics. We have been back since for vehicle repairs on another vehicle and were very pleased with fast service. Owners were great to work with!

This place knows nothing about cars don t be fooled there s a reason they sell auction cars instead of having a real career in mechanics, took my car in for an inspection called sway bar links control arms and had to ask them to check the transmission fluid. On top of that I paid to have my tires balanced and they didn t even do the back tires. They buy their parts from oreillys that should tell you how much they know about fixing cars, after agreeing to get my sway bar links changed they said it would take an hour, and it did because instead of fixing my car they talked to (including the mechanics )someone they knew that showed up. Terrible service and all American auto is owned by the same family beware.

Very shady people, prey on low income who have no other option, bought a vehicle from them and on my way home I stopped to get gas, as I was backing up I turned the wheel and a horrible clunking noise came from the back end , I got out and looked and the shock was broken..this is after they did their inspection, I took it back and it took him days to fix because he was trying to find the part at a junkyard, afterwards when I get my vehicle back the front has a big dent in the hood and the paint is peeled off, when I ask what happened nobody knows and the owner gets mad and says he could have probably sold the car for more and he will just take it back but he won't give me all the money back I will have to wait.... really?! My advice don't go here unless you wanna get screwed over.

Aaron Presley is a straight shooter for real.I bought a car from him four years ago and have not had a single issue.He tells it like it is and doesn't feed you lies.Looking for a square deal on a certified used vehicle ? Head to this place.

Our motorhome broke down near Standish when we were heading to Petoskey with our young grandkids in tow. We called every number on google to find someone who repairs diesel engines....luckily we found this place!Scott called us and told us we needed to have some parts shipped in to make the repair which would make the repair time a few days longer than expected. While my husband was on the hunt to find the parts he called us back told us he took the pump apart himself repaired it and we were good to go. Wow!!!When my husband got there to pick it up he mentioned that another gentleman was upset because his air-conditioning repair was put on the back burner for our motorhome. Scott told the gentleman that we were stranded with two small children and he felt we were more important at that time . That is true old fashioned caring service! We appreciate the repair, the cost savings and the kindness!

I originally wrote a good review but i was very wrong. I have had nothig but issues with my car since i got it, i had to bring it back for an intake gasket and after a week of them having it i got it back with no heat (disclaimer: he told me there was no heat but i needed my car at this point) then i get it back and found out it was because they did not bleed the system properly, i bled it myself and got heat right away. Then ive had my brakes lock up on me another reason i took it in. After i got it back the problem still persisted, i changed my front brakes ans rebuilt my front caliper and still had the issue but the rear were also grinding at this point. I went to do the rear brakes to find out a it was missing a caliper bolt. Needless to say i had my child with me the whole time and that caliper could have let loose and broke causing an accident. I will be taking action. I also paid 4,000 for this car. Please do not go here whatever you do. STAY AWAY!!! I am a liscensed mechanic and it took me repairing it to find out all the shady stuff they tried to do. Multiple things not listed as well.

Bought a truck for my son 3 weeks ago, still no plate and the temporary one is expired. A TEXT was made, not a return call, claiming it was mailed 3 days ago. Doesn't take 3 days for mail to get to Bay City.

Part of their service sign says"electrical specialist " had a brake problem on my dump trailer. Dropped it off at 10AM picked it up at 3 PM, they found a broken wire. $50.00

Was not a purchaser, came with a friend to look at cars. Friendly staff who kept shop open a little longer than close to accommodate. My friend, however, did not purchase.
