November 2022 I came here and got a new battery and had it installed by an employee at the time. After that my vehicle would sporadically start. I learn after taking it to a mechanic that he never took the cover off so it would start sometimes and other times it wouldn t. that s okay, we all make mistakes and maybe he was new. Today, Monday December 4th I came in in need of a new one again and the employee Kailey (I m sorry if I misspelled it!) was not only extremely helpful, she had a great confidence about her in terms of her job and she was extremely kind and empathetic towards my unplanned crying in the store and she got my battery in (correctly I might add) in like 3 minutes. I appreciate you Kailey! You re amazing!

Frank and Robert both very helpful and friendly in ordering my outside replacement mirror for my car ! Frank went out side to measure the mirror on my car to assure a correct purchase ! The staff here seems to take their job seriously they have friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful attitude!

I went into Advanced Auto Parts of Southgate this morning to purchase spraypaint to cover scrap on mycar. They didn't have a colorto match my car, but what wonderful services i received.The staff and location wasGreat. I made another purchase and will continue tosupport this business.

Big shout-out to Joe here! Guy had a great attitude vibe and all around personality. I deal with a lot of customer service and I really appreciate the knowledge and the assistance. He helped me inspect the new product that was delivered to make sure it was exactly what I was looking for. I'm a big fan of good people out there trying to be good to others so shout out to you man much respect.

Just a shout out to Donald at Southgate store. Thank you soooo much for your help, the past 2 days, with the battery for my Enclave. It worked and vehicle is running smooth! Amazing employee. Wish I can give mote than 5 stars.--------------The employee was amazing! He dropped what he was doing to help me and listen to every question I had and had some good answers plus very friendly.

So I have a Chevy Cruze and need a valve cover and gasket for it. Called my local dealership to see the price for it they said $75 plus tax. Thinking that dealership are higher priced then auto part store but was wrong they want $91 for it and not OME part 2 months ago I bought one for my other Cruze and only paid $48 for it. Also needed another part for the car and again dealership was cheaper then here. My advice check with your local dealership first. Dealership must have changed their practices on charging more for parts than regular auto part stores. Will check with dealership first on getting parts from auto part store and over pricing items. The employees are great but they don t control prices so it s corporate who is trying to make more money. I will post my final bill from dealership to show how much they re overpriced.

Jenny the store manager sold me some wipers about 3 weeks ago. Well one of the clips broke last weekend while removing snow feom the windshield and the wiper came off. I went to the store and she allowed me to rummage through the clips and get a replacement. While installing the replacement I broke the clip on some ice. She gave me another and smiled. She deserves credit. Most wouldn't have even gone that far

TLDR: Extremely disappointed in the customer service, manager is disrespectful, not coming back here again.So here s the story, I was in here over the weekend with a coworker getting stuff for a project. We eventually found what we needed so we were getting everything checked out, and my coworker and I were chatting with each other while the manager (I think her name is Jennifer) was ringing us up. My coworker mentioned one of our company s local competitors, then the manager promptly started talking about how our competitor is better than the company I work for, while we re both wearing masks with our company s logo on it!She didn t even have what I needed out on the shelf (2.5 exhaust band clamps) like every other auto parts store I visited. I had to specifically ask her if she had them.I ended up not needing the clamps, so I went in to return the items just earlier today, and once again she started fussing about how they ve been sitting in the back for over a year, which she d previously mentioned on Saturday when I originally bought them. I got the impression she was unhappy about having to take them back. Maybe if they were out in the aisle where customers could find them more easily, they wouldn t have been sitting around for so long, but who knows...I also talk with lots of customers on a daily basis at my job, and if a customer has an opinion that s different than mine, good for them, it s not my business. Everyone s allowed to have their opinions, but when you re talking with customers, you need to know when to keep your opinions to yourself. Unfortunately, the manager here doesn t seem to grasp that concept.I will very gladly be taking my business elsewhere from now on. I had much friendlier service at the local AutoZone and O Reilly stores.

My windshield wiper snapped off my car the middle of a huge rain storm is your manager Jenny took it upon herself to go outside in the rain and help me she is amazing I really really appreciate That!!! In this crazy time we re no one wants to work she literally took initiative just to help me she s a great employee

I usually always get my car parts from Advanced Auto due to the fact that I order them online in can get s cheaper deal then buying them in the Store because I use a promo code that usually saves me any where from 25% to 30% off. All I do is go on Retail me not in look up Advanced Auto in see what promo codes are available and get the code with the best deal. This location always seems to have the parts I need in stock. The staff there are always very knowledgeable about the parts u ordered and are very courteous. Another plus is that most of the parts I get have limited life time warranties should anything ever happen to the part which in the long run will have me money. That's why I will continue to shop at this Advanced Auto location.

Visited the store on telegraph in Brownstown. Jake was super helpful. Didn't have the brake rotors I needed but was able to facilitate getting them from the Southgate store. Thanks for going above and beyond on a Sunday Jake!!

Looking for the most reliable car battery? Try Advanced Auto's Die Hard battery!Advanced Auto bought out the line of Die Hard car batteries from Sears, which I have been using since 1978. One of the most reliable batteries on the market too!I received great customer service, and they even had one of their other stores bring over the battery cable my buddy needed for his Street Stock 1970 Mustang.Thanks Advanced Auto!

The employees at this store are always helpful! They always offer to go above and beyond to make sure you get the parts you need. If they don t have the part they get the part in a timely manner. I haven t come across a time they didn t have what i needed. The guys have never hesitated to put my wiper blades on for me or even put in my light bulb! I will willingly drive past O Reilly s, Auto Zone, Napa, and Auto Value to go to Advance Auto Parts!

worst service! I walked in and they acted like they could not see me, then when they decided they were ready to help me I let them know I needed the battery I purchased online installed. One of the 2 girls tried to install the battery for 30 min. She never got the old battery out. If you are going to have people working there PLEASE train them correctly!!!!

Kaine has helped us twice now for different issues on two different cars. He's very helpful and kind. He gave us all of our options without making us feel pressured to buy anything. He has gone above and beyond even in cold weather.

Never had any problems here, they've always been fair in their recommendations and probably a little more knowledgeable than other parts stores. I wish they'd expand and have a few more tools,etc but that's something to take up with corporate lol.

I would like to give a shout out to Frank Liberacki. He was fabulous! After a traumatizing incident in which I lost my mirror and driver side window he took the time to explain to me how to get the vehicle legal. And walked me through step by step. He could have easily let me check out with the wrong item that I had chosen but instead he asked questions and made sure I understood what was going on. He walked out examine the vehicle and really went the extra mile! He truly deserves recognition for a job well done and I hope that he gets it. Advance Auto Parts is lucky to have a manager like him.

Jay was amazing goes above and beyond GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Staff is so friendly and ready to assist you and is also quick to apologize when busy and will let you know they'll be right with you (wait is not even that long) I went to a different advance Auto and it was horrible customer service I will from now on come here!

With these sub-zero temps, I had a feeling my truck's battery needed to be checked. So, I stopped into this store to have them test it for FREE. Low and behold, my battery was 130CCA out of 800CCA...Whoooooaaaa! This team was very helpful with getting me back on the road safely with a replacement battery! Thank you!

I love ordering my parts online because they allow me to use coupons and get discounts and then all I have to do is pick them up at the store way to go Advanced Auto Parts. Prices are good as well.

Don t know what s going on with this place, used to be the best place around to go for parts and services. Now it s seems like it s ran poorly have had a few bad experiences and seems every time I call I get put on hold and they never come back to the phone and I just end up having to hang up, and no one really knows what s going on.

Went in to purchase a wiper blade for my '14 Chevy Spark and they offered to replace it for me. Unfortunately, he broke my wiper arm and they didn't have the piece to repair it in stock. Fast forward a week (this is February so a working wiper would have been nice), I haven't heard from them so I stopped by. The arm was in but they needed a special tool to pull the old one. After a total of 3 weeks the arm was replaced but now doesn't touch the top 3 inches of the windshield. Sigh...
