They'll get you in quick and will not grossly over charge you like Tuffy in South Lyon. Tuffy wanted to charge me $4500 dollars for a new exhaust system when my truck need a muffler and tail pipe....These guys are honest and do great work

Took longer to fix than I hoped. At least to figure out what was wrong. And it still does not feel smooth. But Jim is a real nice fellow. I just wish they would have told me what more needs to be done to have a smooth ride.

Heard good things about walkers sadly did not experience this myself. I dropped my car off Thursday and was told they would get to it. I called Saturday for an update and they said no one came into work, and would not be getting to it anytime soon. I really needed this car for the week very disappointed in the lack of communication and lack of service I received.

My grandparents went to walkers when I was a child, and 2 decades later he s become my mechanic for 5 years. Walker has always done fantastic work on my cars. He s also charged fairly and reasonably. When I was 18, homeless, and had a wheel barring so bad I would cry out of fear anytime I drove, he gave me a payment arrangement. Some weeks I could only give $25, but he was happy to receive a payment on time no matter how small .Today I got my brakes done. It s a Mini Cooper, and I shopped around to see who was the cheapest as it s foreign and costs $100 for an oil change alone. After lots of estimates, Walker said $175 for the brake pads. He called and said I needed new rotors. He charged me $268 for new brakes AND rotors on a foreign car and was ready 3 hours after I got the call.If you need a mechanic, RUN to see Walker. You ll get phonemenal work, FAIR prices, and great customer service.

We were visiting in the area for a week and had a transmission problem with our old Honda CRV. Because we like to support local businesses when we can, in combination with the positive reviews here, we called Walker. They agreed to run diagnostics and the try to get parts. We received the car back, driving even better than before it had issues and the cost was reasonable. Everyone we dealt with, including Jim & Chris & Todd, were friendly, polite and informative. We would recommend and go back if necessary.

Paid over $500 for a brake job and brakes are squeaking took it in to have some other things looked at and to have the brakes fixed and the next day the thermostat goes because they dump something in my coolant tried to charge me $250 to run test and fix the brakes which were under warranty could not find any of the leaks but managed to ruin my car and brakes still squeek. Took car to another shop found the AC leak within minutes. I would not trust my car at this place.

It was 3:30 pm Thanksgiving eve & I was delivering meals on wheels on Thanksgiving & my tire had gone flat. I was slightly panicked as I had stopped at 3 other garages in South Lyon. Not only were they willing to look at the tire immediately they were kind and social!! I am glad they were close & I found them - I highly recommend this business!!Service: Tires

They're very fair priced and they do an excellent job! They even gave me a ride home when I had to drop my vehicle off! Excellent service I definitely recommend them to anybody thank you

I didn't go here, just called for an estimate on a repair to my vehicle. They said someone would need to call me back. That was 3 weeks ago, no return call. Don't need the work done anymore. They might do fine work on your vehicle without any issues, but I'll likely never know.

They did a great job i called them at 8AM got me in by 9Am and done by 9:45 they replaced a alternator in my F-350 did a great job and did not miss work, Walker family are great folks. Thank you for the great Service.

My grandfather and my father have been taking vehicles to walker's if they couldn't fix it or didnt have time for decades now. These guys are trustworthy, friendly and helpful. If they weren't around I'm not sure who I'd turn to for car repair in town. They won't try and upsell you or overcharge, just get straight to the heart of the issue and fix your problem. Great towing service too if you find yourself in a jam.

Awesome service!!! They got me in right away, diagnosed and fixed multiple issues in under 2 hours. The "other guys" wanted me to drop my truck off for 6hrs just to diagnose the problem. Great price and great service, definitely refer friends and family.

Always the best. I use them often. This past weekend, I dropped my auto off Fri night. They found & fixed repair, I picked it up on Sunday! honest, great work. They never over charge or tell you repairs you need if you don't. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Excellent service!! Fixed my Camaro in 2 days, for half of what I thought it would cost. A+ to these guys, I'm leaving another favorable post on South Lyon Swap as well. Owner is a great guy, they know their stuff.

Had a problem with the resonator with the exhaust system.. my family member works at one of the major car dealerships and recommended them.. cost a 1/3 of the price and they did s great job.. Car back next day.. Very happy with their service..

Great service and excellent prices. They located a mirror in a junk yard for us which saved us a lot of money. They also patiently explained what repairs were needed, and they were less expensive than expected. Best service in South Lyon.

Todd serviced my car quickly, courteously, and professionally. When I explained I needed my car for work, they worked on it before close and Todd personally ran to the auto parts store to get me a new battery before they closed. So glad I discovered this place!

Terrible shop. I drop my truck off for three things. Fuel tank straps, a filler neck, and a fix my Park switch. the only thing I got done was the gas tank straps, they were careless enough to leave my filler neck and dragging on the ground where I had to reattach it myself, not to mention they left my truck outside with the window down and it rained all inside of my vehicle. I would not recommend this shop to anyone or any friends. Go somewhere else

I had my car towed here and 4 days later when they looked at it. I had to call to find out if they could work on my car or not only for them to tell me "my tech guy left already and isn't coming back" sounds to me like the 100 year old man that works there was just intimidated by and was ignorant to the electrical problems my car was having.They didn't call me to tell me that they couldn't fix my car and so wasted my time which I don't have a lot of. Take your vehicle elsewhere.

Very unreliable. Told me my repairs would be done in a day or two but didnt even bother starting the work for almost a week, and only then after I had called several to ask what was taking so long. The receptionist seems to have a habit of telling callers that she has to hang up but she will call back... of course as soon as your out of her hair the callback never comes. Very shameful behavior.

terrible service, 2 months ago had the car towed, they lost the keys. THEN tried to make us pay for the new lock cylinders and keys. So 2 months later, still no door keys. TODD was the tow truck driver that lost the keys, showed up DRUNK. no, im not joking. they are and always be habitually bad to their customers, and service has always been and always will be sub par. we are long time south lyon residents (20+ yrs), and have had numerous terrible experiences with walkers. go to norms or south lyon tire. have your vehicles towed by triangle towing or pardiac

Ive ised their servoce several times before this review and they are grest, friendly, fast, and fair. Definitely best mechanics in South Lyon!
