We had a wonderful experience with the mechanics here. Our car's engine light came on as soon as we got on the highway. They were the only shop open and got us in immediately. They took great care of us, checked out our car, tested it to make sure it was safe, and we were back on the road in less than 2 hours. They also didn't charge us for our service, as they didn't have to replace any parts. I can't say enough about how grateful we were for their hospitality and honesty.

I was on a road trip to Mackinac Island with friends and my car started having battery issues while in South Haven. It was 6PM on a Friday and Muffler Man was the only local business to pick up my call and offer assistance. I was beyond thankful. I got my car towed to Muffler Man, rented another car and they fixed it and had it ready for me to pick up the next day. Wonderful to work with and really appreciated their flexibility in my emergency.

Took my 2002 lexus to have the exhaust fixed. Was given a very reasonable estimate. They took it in right away and the final cost was spot on with the estimate. They were very polite and explained what needed to be done. Happy with the service.

These guys always do great work. Their staff are competent, caring and have keen communication skills. I've been going there for years, I actually took my first car there. I'm on my 4th car now and still trust them to get the job done the right way.

My car stalled in the intersection next to the shop, and I barely made it in the parking lot at 1:30pm (looking forward to a day at the beach before driving back to Iowa the next day- now freaking out a bit inside...)Jason calmly came right out and checked a couple of things, then asked if he could run diagnostics on it. While we were having lunch next door, we got the call- it was an air sensor. Jason explained what it was and the costs to fix it, once he could get the part. (I was already searching rental car prices and planning another 16hr round trip drive next weekend!).Within 3 hours, I was on the road, car good as new!! He saved the day- really competent and professional!! His whole team was awesome- I highly recommend!!

My mother who is 70 years old was taken advantage of by this establishment. Believing this company was a reputable auto service center in the area. She took her 2010 ford edge in to have the transfer case (ptu) removed and replaced. She brought the new part to have them install it. After they replaced the part a week or so goes by without issue. The vehicle started grinding so she took it back to them and they tell her the part she brought was a defective part. So she took her vehicle to another shop to find out that the reason the new part had fail was because it had no gear oil. Muffler man installed a transfer case and didn t not check fluid level after removing and replacing the part! That s like driving a car with no engine oil. Being an auto mechanic for years for Ford, with extended knowledge of the industry and practices. This was completely negligence. I will do everything in my power to ensure they make this right and not take advantage of anyone else. This is the reason why mechanics get a bad reputation. Mistakes happen I get it but, this was not the case. They knew they had a customer who didn t know anything about vehicles and used it to their advantage to make a quick dollar. This part was well over $500 and now it s completely destroyed because they didn t put $20 bottle of gear oil in, nevertheless even took the time to check fluid level. Will be pursuing further litigation.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Went in to get flex pipe repair on our exhaust. Dropped off the car, walked areound town less than an hour and it was finished. Shocking we were only charged $25. The manager Jason was knowledgeable and professional.He gained our trust for further repairs.

If he treats his customers the way he treats the public I'd recommend not doing business with this person that owns this business he made a peaceful interaction negative and hostile instead of politely asking me to move my car he tried to start a fight acting like some big tough man with his hands up in the air coming at me aggressively this is not the professional demeanor of somebody that owns a business it's sad to see disrespectful people like this in our society good luck if you do business in this place. Because I'm pretty sure he'll treat you the same way. I was just trying to use his parking lot to get a cup of coffee for my grandma that is in the hospital.

I have been a previous customer to Muffler Man but NEVER AGAIN. I left in tears because the owner Randy was so rude to me infront of my daughter and another man seated behind me. My car began to make a strange noise so I pulled in to maybe have it looked at. A kid (nice worker) was crossing the parking lot and I asked if I could ask a quick question. He politely assisted and referred me inside to Randy. A lady was at the counter and he said Can I help you when he was done with her. I said ok I wasn t sure if I was next , trying to be courteous to the other man waiting. He proceeds to say well you held my mechanic up out there for 15 minutes . I was floored, but stated I just asked a quick question . He then asks again rudely how can he help, and I m shaken up but I state my car started making a noise and he said maybe you guys could put it up and take a look but I don t wanna take up too much of your time , to which he throws down his papers in hand and says don t you hassle me . Seriously! I was shaking and left crying. Never again .. they always have help wanted signs and it s no wonder. The kid was so nice and he probably treats them the same way. I ve never been so disrespected/spoken to that way by a grown man. He is horrible. He even told me I shouldn t ask them questions out there because they don t know anything. I need help with my car but I won t subject myself to being treated that way.

My daughter and I were halfway into a 6-hour vacation trip when the underbody cover on the passenger side of the car partially came off, dragging on the ground, creating a potentially dangerous situation. We stopped at Muffler Man in South Haven and asked if they would look at it. Even though we were walk-ins and they were busy - multiple phone calls were taken and several customers walked in during our wait - we only had to wait less than 30 minutes before they looked at the problem. And in less than 10 minutes we were given back the keys and told we were good to go. The mechanic (sorry we didn't get your name ) that did the work assured us that we would not have to worry about the cover coming off during the rest of our trip. The gentleman at the front desk, Randy, would not take any money for the work that was done. Thank you so much for your wonderful service and generosity in our time of need. We went on to have a wonderful time on our vacation and made it back home safe and sound.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I absolutely unequivocally love love this place. I can not honesty say that about too many places on South Haven. I am always graceously greeted followed by excellent service and economically sound pricing and fees for their exceptional service. Take your car to Muffler Man for your vehicle needs, you will be pleasantly surprised at their professionalism and services rendered.

I have been going to Muffler Man for at least 9 years and have always told everyone that they were an honest business. Well, this week totally changed my mind. I took my car in first thing Monday morning to get the brakes checked. After checking the car out I was told it didn t need brakes right now Great.. I thought. When the kid.. Joe..brought the car around he was kneeling down by my right front tire. I really didn t think much of it but started thinking about it on the way home. When I got home I went around and looked where he was and the whole area is messed up. I mean a big dent, a chip out of the body of the car. Separating at the seam and that is putting it mildly. I immediately went back down there. They were all 3 standing there Randy, Jason and the kid Joe who did it. When I said what I was there for. Randy said we were just discussing that . Then proceeded to tell me we must have hit something.Really??? How do you hit something around your wheel well? And besides. The car did not have a single dent in it until Monday morning. Unbelievable Absolute liars and they know it.

Went in March to replace Struts on my mom's car. A bad strut sound kept going. The front burly guy did not want to look at it without a receipt for the $600 charge. After a few calls they agreed to look at it.. come today, my mom's takes it in and another argument. Need receipt. I have my credit card statement. I don't think they even put it the books for the overpriced service. Never going there again.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Always first come, first serve, always good results, Randy is always honest and fair, I've had several vehicles in and out in a timely manner and wasn't charged for anything when I want interested in having the work done that day, I strongly recommend this shop if you can't do the work yourself

Took my Car there to get an o2 Sensor replaced just to go right around the corner for my check engine to come right back on. Took my car straight back to Muffler man and I was told that the Sensor that I brought from autozone wasn't good enough. Other then that I will always do business with them. They are fare with the prices and I will recommend them to anyone.

So I told my truck to get the muffler replaced. They got it and was told that I needed to fix my o2 sencers that throw me off because I never had a problem with that turns out when I when to check they welded some bolts where the o2 sender go . Not satisfied with the service. Especially when they add on more problems talking about it s another 100$ fix that they causeServices: Exhaust, Oil change

This store has helped me their prices are usually Fair the work is really good prices could be a little lower on some things overall I'm very satisfied with the management and the employees I would recommend this for highly
