Trustworthy auto repair shop. I get really nervous having to deal with auto repair places because you never know what they are going to charge for a repair (if they fix it in the first place).Tims Auto is not one of those places you have to worry about. It s a family owned shop and they are amazing. Tim (the son) is knowledgeable and does his research if needed to make sure to get the job done.I believe, on my most recent repair, they have fixed the issue for a reasonable price. I have been here before and my previous trouble was fixed as well and issue has not come back.Awesome job Tim. Keep up the good work!

Tim's complete Auto is a family-owned-and-operated business that takes very good care of their customers. One can always count on a fair estimate with a full explanation of what(and even why)might be needed to get your vehicle back running in Tip-Top shape again. The work is quality, and they truly care about cars at this business. The guys that work on your car at Tim's are most certainly "car guys"-- and they always make sure that the fix is done properly and in good time. All at a reasonable price. You are never sold something you do not need when you go there.

I have them a 4 because....the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable but they told me my thermostat was bad and when I tool my car to wearmaster where I had a warranty, I was told the thermostat was fine and it was a plug that was causing my car to over heat. So im still on the fence about this repair shop.

I have brought different cars here for many years and this the only place I will ever bring a car for any kind of work. I recently brought my car here because the engine seemed to be humming louder than usual. Tim, the son immediately noticed drops on the ground and pointed out what looked like a leak of some sort, then he drove it a single block and parked it. It took him less than 20 seconds to show me the power steering fluid had just begun to leak. This was not suprising to me because these guys have so many years of experience with cars. There prices are way lower than most anywhere else around and there service is friendly and super fast. This is the only place I will ever bring my cars. They're simply the BEST!

Tim is an amazing mechanic. But they are WAY understaffed and that causes problems. I know it's impossible to find good employees these days, but they desperately need to do that, or it will quickly lead to their downfall. But I will continue to use them. They are reliable and trustworthy.

Brother Tim is straight shooter. He is probably one of the most honest hard-working garages around. He is upfront and honest will do a solid job for a fair price. Never had any issues, always more than satisfied in the work and guarantees.Highly recommended

I never even had the opportunity to take my car in to be repaired! My check engine light was on. After having the problem diagnosed I was referred to Tim's Auto for the repair. Since it was so close to where I was, I decided to stop by to talk to them. I waited in the lobby for close to 5 minutes and no one acknowledged me. All the guys in the shop just kept looking over. I then decided to leave and someone had parked right behind me. It appeared to be the "junk" collector. They didn't have any problems assisting him load his truck or talking to him while I waited in my car. I guess they didn't have anytime for paying customers!

Awesome experience! Totally recommend!!It's the Friday morning before Labor Day weekend. We were headed north with a fully packed car of kids and pets and other perishables when the red check battery light came on too far from home to turn around. (Apparently, it's pretty important, and if you don't see to it soon, the whole car will die;) Tim's came highly recommended from Shelby Auto (also super helpful, but couldn't fit me in). Tim and his friendly staff went above and beyond to find a new alternator and get us fixed up as far as possible and back on the road. And for a really decent price, too! (Holiday weekend, emergency situation, totally expected to pay through the nose if I got any service at all anywhere) Thank you, Thank you Tim and friends!!!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Honest and caring old fashion belief that job should be done right. We have been taking our cars to Tim's exclusively for probably over 20 years because it is very difficult to find someone so trustworthy... we did and would never even think of changing

If you're one of those people who are worried about "trustworthy" mechanics, quality of workmanship, or accountability... Tim's is the place to go. I have been a loyal customer of my friends at Tim's since they opened as Merlin's back in the day and I can honestly say I don't take my car anywhere else for work. I have had all of my friends go there and even turned my father into a loyal customer. I have known Tim's family (family owned shop) for my whole entire life and I would trust them with kids (if I had any). Great work, professional, and their pricing reflects their workmanship. Great shop. Highly suggested.

Tim (Jr.) is super nice, but this place is going down hill super fast when the lady, what appears to be Tim's mother, is super rude working the front counter. She is super unprofessional and the mother constantly argues and talks over customers. Will definitely not be back.

THANK YOU TO TIM'S IN SHELBY TOWNSHIP!I came in before Memorial Day with a leak in my Transmission fluid and a stall on acceleration. They not only fixed the valve cover but pointed out to me my Battery was leaking onto the parts below and replaced it. With only their Family to work on it because 2 of their Mechanics left them. It was finished before the weekend.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Transmission repair

Used to come here for my car repairs years ago. Always treated with respect and upfront on costs for repairs and what is recommended at the time of service. Had purchased a new car several years ago, so had no need to require their services until recently. Again, they looked over the vehicle and treated me and my vehicle with respect. Totally upfront on what I needed, and recommended I have the dealer try to fix the issue first and foremost, since it is costly/labor intensive. I offered to at least pay for their time in finding my issue but he refused. Don't see that every day! Would definitely recommend their services.

The staff is absolutely professional, through, & kind. I had a short wait time with two cars ahead of me but before I knew it my car was ready. Their precise, I m satisfied with their service and I highly recommend them. You can t to often trust auto repair shops but their service is built on integrity. Bonnie is a sweet heart and she ll process you ASAP. Go there if you need repair.

Went to an oil change place & decided to get my A/C recharged because I wasn't getting cold air. They recharged it & still nothing.Took my truck to Tim's & told them about the A/C recharge at the oil change place & asked them to find out what was wrong with my A/C since it seemed a recharge wasn't the solution.Tim's recharged my A/C to figure out if there was a leak & go from there.Turns out I actually did only need an A/C recharge. The oil change place used cans that don't work very well & Tim's does something different (I can't recall what it is) but a recharge from them seems to have been all I needed. It's been 2 weeks & my truck still blows ice cold air. They could've easily said my truck needed an A/C Flux capicitor & I would've been like "Go for it" because I wanted my A/C working. But they only charged me for the recharge & sent me on my way with an A/C that's now working perfectly fine. Needless to say who doesn't like some honesty in their life. I definitely appreciate the honesty at Tim's. It was my first time there but I'll be back because of this experience.

Tim's is a garage with integrity; I've been dealing with them for three cars now. Family run, with reasonable, competitive pricing. Free estimates. No customer is talked down to or taken advantage of. If something isn't explained fully enough, ask for more details; they're more than happy to help. If you're on a budget, tell them, and they can let you know whether it's safe to postpone something. If something goes bad soon after fixing, let them know. They recently replaced my wiper blades (previously installed by them) for free which failed during a warranty period.Unlike some places, they never tack on goods or services you don't expect without consulting you first.A key drop is available if you want to drop off your vehicle the night before; envelopes are located next to the office door. Write a note ahead of time with a brief exwplanation, name, and type of vehicle, and put in an envelope or zipper bag. Add the key when you get there. There's no office staff unless "Mrs. Tim" is in, so there's sometimes a short wait until a mechanic can get away from what he's working on. I've never had to wait an unacceptable length of time.

Provided great service and wonderful advice on a wide variety of cars that I brought to him for repair. I m kind of a car guy and I would trust him with the details and further understanding that I don t have with mechanical problems. I would highly recommend the shop to anyone that has a common problem or something that needs to be diagnosed.

Reasonable prices, great work. Speedy. I have no complaints. I think the people that gave bad reviews are used to daddy paying for everything. I've owned cars for 50 years and Tim's is very honest and very reasonable for a service center. So glad I stopped in.

Honest and helpful. I dropped my car off to get looked at after I noticed a loud noise that shouldn't be happening. The receptionist was very friendly and they were able to get me in (even on a day after the long holiday weekend) affordable, friendly and helpful staff.

I changed my 5 star review to a ONE star after this latest experience at Tim's. Dropped car of for AC check and there it stayed for THREE days. It would have been fine if I was told it was going to take that long in the first place so I could plan transportation, but I had to keep calling to figure out a time line of when it was going to be ready. The last time I called I sat on hold for 13 minutes before I hung up and called back to which the same gentleman said "oh, which car was it?" He informed me it would be ready "later today" so when I arrived about 45 minutes before closing the gentleman told me it wasn't looked at yet... no "sorry about that" or anything! gave me my keys like it wasn't a big deal. Its frustrating when you have to find a ride to and from work! definitely not going back.

I purchased an alternator from them. Was under the impression that it was brand new. It went, again, and the new mechanic I took it to informed me the alternator was painted to look new but was not new, but refurbished. So I had to replace it a second time. I'm now wondering how much I was charged for items that may have not been replaced, or replaced with junk being sold as new. How much had they been ripping me off for over the past few years. Completely unethical business they run. Ripping people off of their hard earned money.I filed a complaint with the BBB, but Tims said I was never a client, and that they tried calling me which they did not. After I spent THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS THERE.So go to this auto shop at your own risk. Expect to get ripped off. They have been cited several times for using old oil in their oil changes.

After an unexpected icy slide into a curb that damaged my rear suspension, Tim's quickly assessed the damage and quoted the work, along with politely answering my questions. I appreciate that Tim's uses quality replacement parts. It can be a little more, but it's worth it. The work was completed quickly and Brad kept me up to date along the way.

Came in for a check engine diagnostic. They diagnosed a Purge Solenoid, cost 570. I needed a new engine, within a day the problem was still there. Misdiagnosed and didn't seem to care. They come off as rude, don't seem to want your service. Also can't schedule appointments as they have a first come first serve mentality. I would strongly going elsewhere if you want proper care by kind professionals.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I dropped my car off early in the morning and asked them to check out what was wrong with my car, the gentleman at the desk was really rude. There was one car in their shop and I understand if they had other appointments but by time they closed they never gave us a call to let us know they were not going to irk on my car at all my father went up there to see what was going on and they had one car aging in the shop nothing else going on. I would not recommend going there high prices and rude poor customer service alsoService: General repairs & maintenance
