Working with this collision shop was a nightmare.I (like many of you) saw the good reviews on Google and decided that I would like to work with Lakeside Collision. While they were very nice throughout the process, the experience left a lot to be desired.I reached out to them in late November regarding getting my vehicle repaired.I provided all my insurance information including the initial evaluation so they could go ahead and get a head start on ordering parts and asked them how long my vehicle would be in for once I dropped it off and they said it would take ~2 weeks to take it apart, get the insurance company out for another evaluation, and repair what they needed to repair. Once I dropped my vehicle off I was told they needed to order more parts and that those should make it within 1-2 weeks as they had to be shipped from overseas. I made weekly calls following up to see what the status of those parts were and every week I was told it would be just a few more days. ~4 week later all of my parts show up besides the hood. I was told that they would get everything together so that when the hood showed up all they would need to do was paint it and get me the vehicle back within a few days. At this point I was frustrated but understood that part delivery is not their fault.The hood shows up at the dealership on March 7th. They notify me that it made it and that they would pick it up and begin painting it and hopefully get me the vehicle back by Monday or Tuesday. Monday goes by and I dont hear anything. On Tuesday March 12th I called and asked for a status update and was told they're putting it back together and it should be ready Wednesday the 13th. On the 13th I call to schedule a pick up and the vehicle still wasn't ready. Now a headlight still needed to be installed even though I was told that the vehicle was all back together other than the hood. On Thursday I receive a call and I was told that they had a problem programming the headlight and that it wouldnt be done until Monday or Tuesday at the latest (March 18th or 19th). It wasn't ready until the 20th. At this point I was still considering a 3 or 4 star review because I thought to myself (well this was a headache but I'm sure they did a really good job).I go to pick up my vehicle and take a look at the repaired area. The "new headlight" is completely scratched and there were some small imperfections on the bottom of the hood (possibly due to polish). At this point I was becoming increasingly annoyed but they told me it would take just a few minutes and they would buff out all the scratched since they weren't deep. That few minutes turned into 30 minutes. They got out about 95% of the scratches. There were still a couple small ones but they werent extremely noticeable. At this point I just wanted to leave and be done with this place so I accepted the car and went on my way. When I turned it on I noticed that the vehicle was in sport mode. I never leave it in sport mode so it was obvious that someone working there decided to take a joy ride. That annoyed me further but I decided not to bring it up because what would I really get out of saying anything. I get home and get out of my car and press the button on the handle to lock the door and the button doesn't work. I immediately call and they told me "they forgot to program it" and that if I come back in or they come pick up my vehicle they could program it quickly. It is utterly ridiculous how out of touch this place is with their customers experience. I expected to have a flawless pick up after being 6 weeks late but instead was given a scratched headlight and an unprogrammed handle to drive home in.After all this I wasn't given a single apology but rather excuses such as "yeah this happens" "sometimes the lights get scratched shipping" "waiting for parts isn't our fault".I agree waiting for parts isn't their fault but failing to be prepared when those parts arrive and continuously exaggerating the status and stringing your customers along for weeks is terrible business.

I was sideswiped and took my truck to Lakeside. They were extremely friendly, great price, and top quality work! I would recommend anyone who needs collision work to take their vehicle here!

Several years ago one of our vehicles was rear-ended and we had the repairs done by Lakeside Collision after having a bad experience at a different collision shop from a prior crash-related repair. We were happy with our experience at Lakeside Collision so when my 2019 Dodge Charger was recently damaged, by yet another rear-end crash, that is where I took it for repairs. I only dealt with two people; the receptionist and Mark R. My experience with both of these staff members was exceptional. The receptionist was polite when I first walked in. She quickly got the information she needed from me and said Mark would be out to take a look at my car. I returned to my car and Mark walked out within five minutes. He inspected the damage and walked me through how the repairs would proceed. I got my estimate in mid-June, just a couple of days after the crash. Mark told me that, unfortunately, they would not be able to get to my car until August 1st because they were very backed up due to supply chain issues. He said they would contact me if they were able to get to my car earlier than that. Near the end of July I was notified that I could bring my vehicle in on Monday; one week earlier than expected. They estimated my vehicle would be finished by Friday of that week. Mark called me on Thursday and said the repairs had been completed a day sooner than expected. When I arrived to pick up the car, the receptionist had me sign for my repairs and I was out the door in about three minutes. I was very satisfied with the staff I dealt with, as well as the repairs. Lakeside Collision worked directly with my insurance company this time, and the previous time (when I was with a different insurance company), so the entire process was simple and painless. I was routinely updated via emails regarding the processing of my claim and the progress of the repairs. Lakeside Collision obviously employs a group of polite, knowledgeable and dedicated professionals. Should I ever need collision repairs in the future, I will definitely use Lakeside Collision. I would recommend them to family and friends.

They took care of me 100% ! They also got the insurance company to pay more money and fixed absolutely everything with brand new factory ford parts ! Super happy my car looks brand new now !Ask for Matt or Jason they get the job done . Hands down best body shop in Michigan!!

I would definitely recommend Lakeside! After spending an afternoon driving to 5 different shops in the area to get repair quotes, I knew where I wanted to take my car. Not only was the quote lower than competing shops, but what was even more impressive was that when I went in for my initial quote, Mark took a look at my car and grabbed a tool on the spot to allow my passenger door to open without scraping because of the damage. Although the work took longer than I had anticipated (by no fault of their own) they were communicative and upfront throughout the process. I'm very happy with the work they did, my car looks and drives good as new (Cleaned inside and out!) I feel so relieved and grateful

This is a difficult review because I want to be fair. My friends 6 year old car was seriously damaged in a car accident. One whole side was damaged, the suspension was damaged and a wheel was bent. It went into the shop on Sept 2nd. There was a 3 week delay in his insurance approving the repairs. Then the shop ordered the parts. I didn't start asking when it was going to be done until mid Oct. It seemed like every time I called at the beginning of the week I was told it was in paint and it would be done in a week. The next week it was the same thing. After 3-4 times hearing that, I stopped believing them and was starting to worry. The owner told the insurance rep that they were very short handed due to covid and the flu. My friend finally got his car back Nov 11th. The car was very clean and it looks like a brand new car on the one side and front bumper. As far as we can tell it's driving fine, actually even straighter than before because it might have been due for an alignment. They did a good job, but be prepared for a very long wait.Update: we had to bring the car back after two days because an air bag sensor on. It took a week to fix that, then a door panel broke and they are on a third panel trying to fix it. It is four months now and he still doesn't have his car back.

I had my wife's car repaired here. The whole experience was fantastic! Brice Putnam took care of everything. Kept me updated throughout. Called me as soon as it was done. Vehicle looks perfect. It's never a pleasant experience to deal with the aftermath of a car accident, but Brandon and his team at Lakeside Collision took great care of my car and me. Courteous and communicative, they quickly got the repairs done with no surprises. They even took care of an issue which was neglected during previous collision work at no additional charge. I'm so thankful to have my car looking good as new! I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Came in for a fender bender, literally just to replace a fender. Now the grill and front bumper does not align with the hood at all. There is a large gap on the passenger side where the grill meets the hood. Also, the passenger side side skirt was not seated in properly and there is a large gap between the side skirt and rear passenger door. Gonna have to have a chat with my insurance company. As it stands now, definitely will not recommend this place.

I took my car here almost a year ago to have damage to the car fixed. They were very friendly, took very good care of both myself and my car, and with fast turnaround time to boot. I will have no qualms about taking my car here in the future.

Brandon went above and beyond to get my car door replaced and painted quickly. They were kind enough to wait for me to sort out the financial issue with the other insurance company out of Iowa. You can not tell an accident ever happened. Also thanks to my friend David at Interstate Truck Source for referring me. Lakeside also repairs large commercial vehicle bodies for those that may not know this.
