Highly recommend this business! The team made time in their busy schedule to fix our car when we stopped in unexpectedly for emergency repairs on our car wheels. They were extremely quick and efficient - someone from their team even ran out to get a part so we could get back on the road same-day. They also took the time to walk us through the car's issues and their approach to fixing it. Thank you Damon Automotive!

If I could give them 11 stars I would! We broke down hours from home due to another mechanics error - not only were they able to squeeze us in, but they had the damage repaired and us on the road within an hour. We were so lucky we pulled off where we did. Take it from me, don't waste your time and money other places, go to Damon's and get it done right the first time. Very kind, extremely professional, I can't say enough nice things about them. Thanks for saving the day guys!!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance

Damon Auto is a reliable mechanic and parts store. Fair value and knowledgeable staff. Owner manages the businesses personally and is very professional. He provided an accurate price quote before starting my repair.

My car died while driving home from Northern MI to Chicago. Bob was able to get my car back on the road the next day after getting it to him. Fast, reasonable, courteous. High recommend his services

Great service at a very reasonable price!. I was in a jam, and the folks at the shop fixed my flat and cleared my AC hose. I was on my way home within an hour. Bob was able to squeeze me in next day, and my car was running like new a day later. Most other shops couldn t take me for weeks. Prices are great and honest. Will recommend to everyone.

We were on a family vacation and noticed a serious brake fluid leak. Damon's got us in immediately and fixed our issue very quickly. Everyone working there was very kind and helpful. Sooo impressed with this place! Our car was sputtering and so we took it here to get looked at. It was scary bc we were out of town and weren t sure how bad our car was. After running a quick diagnostic on it, he said it was all hooked up properly, and we should be fine despite the warning light. He was right, it ran fine after that. Honest, good work with kind and helpful employees at Damon s. Thankful!Service: General repairs & maintenance

My friend and I were on our way to Northern Michigan two weeks ago, when we got a flat tire in Sawyer, MI. AAA put on the spare and we drove 4 minutes to Damon Auto Repair. Bob Damon had the size tire that we needed, which was great, because the old one was ruined. We got to chat with his wife, while the tire was put on the car. I can't say enough good things about Bob, his wife and the employees at Damon. We still had 3+ hours to drive, so we were so happy that he could replace the tire so quickly. Thank you!Service: Tires

I was staying at the near by campgrounds when my brake engine light came on. Bob was able to fix the line at a reasonable price. Although, I needed the other lines to be fixed, he knew I would be able to drive my van back to Chicago safely and get it fixed by my hometown mechanic. My wife and I were on a getaway in New Buffalo when our starter went out in Sawyer where we had gone to enjoy lunch at the Greenbush Brewery. AAA towed my car to Damon Automotive about a mile away. We walked into the parts side of the business and met the owner's wife, Susan. This proved fortuitous as she became a huge help by offering to drive us to our hotel in New Buffalo while here husband, owner Bob, worked on the car.Bob dropped what he was doing, did a quick check, smacked the started with an iron rod, it then started and he said, "It's the starter. This is what happens when it's dying." He gave us a price, he cleaned up the battery, did some adjusting of a headlight, and called us the next morning with a fixed vehicle. Then he told us his wife was ready to come and pick us up.Amazing. This is a very honest, decent couple who truly take care of customers. We saw that in how he treated others who came and went.Based on our experience, we highly recommend Damon Automotive. Always a satisfied customer. Have been taking my cars to Bob Damon for over 15 years now and have never any complaints about the service I've received. Most recently a warning light came on while I was using my car (which I need in order to complete my workday). Not only did Damon Automotive take my car when I was able to drop it off but offered me a loaner so I could complete my work! Multiple repairs on multiple vehicles and still a happy loyal customer.

Wow great service!I was traveling down the highway when I had an unforeseen failure of one of my rear brakes. Hard grinding told me that I couldn't drive any further and I made my way off the highway and somehow found this place. I am glad that I did! I explained my plight to Bob Damon of the Damon Automotive Professional Car Clinic at 12514 Red Arrow Hwy. I considered my situation dire since I was not a local resident and I was hours from home with a truck I couldn't drive. He had the perfect chance to rake me over the coals or just tell me to go someplace else. He made me a priority repair, at a price that was better than anything I am use to. I wish I lived closer and could bring all of my vehicle repairs here. Professional, quality service.Thanks again!

Prompt, courteous service when numerous brake/ABS/traction control indicator lights suddenly appeared while traveling on I-94. Bob carved out some time with little advanced warning to quickly run diagnostics and check the brake system. Recommended brake pad service as soon as possible and discovered that indicator lights were likely caused by debris/rust from the rear wheel area, but assured us that we were safe to make the rest of our journey. The vehicle was repaired a week later at a different shop without prior knowledge of the situation. New front brake pads and rear wheel assembly replacement were performed - Bob's initial diagnosis was spot on. We truly appreciate his service and won't hesitate to stop again when in the area.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes

Live in lakeside very local, went into the auto shop for some parts, had a great time talking to the owners wife and other staff member they had all the parts I needed for my Cadillac DeVille which I'm restoring and learning about they are Very reasonable prices and I was able to do most of the work myself on my restoration. From now on this is my local shop for auto, I'm going to have all the brake lines installed next time I'm there for my 95 Deville and after that some more work I'm going to have them do and also maintain my other cars, I got a quote over the phone so decided to choose them, I like quality and supporting our local businesses. This is a great place friendly with customer focus in mind. Its nice to see a company take pride in they're work, with customer service honesty and integrity at the forefront. Highly recommended.

My daughter was on her way to Grand Rapids, traveling from Chicago when she called me, and said that she had a message on her dash stating, "Low Oil Pressure, SHUT VEHICLE OFF". Luckily, she was near the Michigan Welcome Center, so she was able to safely pull off the road. I called a couple of repair shops, and towing truck companies that weren't able to help immediately because of weather conditions. I found Damon Automotive on the internet, I called and spoke with Bob, and he couldn't have been more helpful. He referred me to a Towing Company, that brought the car and my daughter safely to Bob's shop, where he diagnosed the problem, got the parts, and repaired her vehicle at a very reasonable cost, in a very short period of time. I am a General Manager of an Auto Dealership, and we work with customers in similar situations every day. Bob Damon did an outstanding job taking care of my daughter and her car, in what could have been a disaster of a situation. Thanks for the help, and for putting a dad at ease in a situation that where I felt absolutely helpless.

Damon Automotive's service was beyond exceptional. Unfortunately, my car broke down on the highway near Sawyer, Michigan (cracked radiator). We were 3 hours away from home and Damon Automotive couldn't have made us feel more at ease. They were able to quickly root-cause the issues with my car, made many calls to find a replacement radiator, and were able to have my car fixed the same day (and for a very fair price).The great service doesn't stop there- Damon Automotive treated us to Netflix, Amazon Instant TV, cupcakes and coffee to help us pass the time. When we were hungry for lunch, the owner let us borrow his car to get a bite to eat in town.I have never experienced service like I have at Damon Automotive. I would give Damon Automotive my highest recommendation.

Been getting my car fixed here for awhile now, they will continually put work off until the very end of the day to get it done. Not to mention he put a part on incorrectly which caused my calipers to lock up, he admitted he made the mistake that time. The second time around I drove it no more than 20 miles after he fixed a part near my calipers and refused to admit wrong doing again when it locked up and charged full price to fix it. Would never recommend this place, take your car to a mechanic who knows what they re doing.

Exceptional Service, fast and friendly.My daughter's car broke down on exit ramp to Sawyer. Bob, the owner, waited till the tow truck delivered the car to his shop to look at it, instead of closing at 5:30 as normal. The car was not fixable, so Bob took my daughter into town, until I got there.On the return trip, Bob's son, Zack, helped me push the car up onto the car hauler I rented.Exceptional Service, fast and friendly.

Our subaru wouldn't start while we were camping at Warren dunes state park and had it towed here after hours at the recommendation of the tow driver since we are from out of town. We only had one more night reserved, so we were worried we would be stuck with nowhere to go or a way to get there, but Bob made sure to get us in and out the next day and really saved us.

I would highly recommend going to Damon's automotive for repairs on your vehicle. I needed my water pump changed and they were very helpful and changed it the same day and I was very very pleased. If you need good friendly people with great service I would suggest going to Damon's automotive.

Camping at Warren Dunes and my truck won't start. Had it towed to Damon. He had it fixed in less than 2 days and very inexpensive.

STAY AWAY. These people won't hesitate to take advantage of you. Got my job done for half their price just like James said. 5 second google search when you get a quote even tells you they're OVERCHARGING! Not by a small amount...overcharging by HUNDREDS.
