Oh my goodness, what a wonderful place! My wife and I just had our first stay here, but it won't be our last! Gary and Jonathan have set up such a delightfully cozy retreat. We stayed in the Orleans Cottage and it was homey, private, and perfectly appointed. Not to mention perfectly located right in downtown Saugatuck. And don't even get me started on the muffins and daily treats! Overall, I can't imagine a more perfect getaway.

Beautiful hidden gem right in the middle of downtown Saugatuck. Shops, restaurants, bars, outdoor spaces to enjoy and their lovely gardens are all RIGHT here!! Walking distance so you don't really ever need your car unless you want to go out of downtown. Jonathan and Gary and gracious hosts and the continental breakfasts and yummy treats in your room add a special touch. So cozy and romantic! Thanks for a special get a way! We will return...

We've stayed in the Tuscany cottage twice (both times in March). The cottage is beautifully decorated and so clean. Sitting on the couch by the fireplace and not doing anything is relaxing in itself! The little touches of are so thoughtful. Love the breakfast muffins. Only small-ish downside of the Tuscany cottage is the sky light - it's not ideal for sleeping in as both times we've stayed, it gets very bright very quick even on a cloudy early spring day (before 8am). When we're not trying to sleep in, the sky light is great as it lights up the whole room and in the evening/night, it's fun to look out into the sky. Location is great, right downtown but secluded enough and mostly quiet. However, parking is not ideal as there is not parking specific to the cottages. It's all street parking. We got lucky several times to be able to park right out front but have had to park a block or so away on the street, which isn't a deal-breaker necessarily. Possibly a bigger deal in the busy seasons? All in all, great place to stay to enjoy the comforts of the cottage and truly unwind.

We loved Hidden Garden Cottages!! My husband and I stayed in the Tuscany cottage for our honeymoon and could not have had a better experience. Jonathan and Gary went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and even made sure our treats and breakfast accommodated my dietary needs! The location is perfect and just steps away from everything. We will definitely be back!

We stayed in the Tuscany suite. Had a private balcony with a place to sit and a separate space for eating. Jonathan and Gary were very friendly and quick to reply if we ever had any questions. The breakfast muffins and snacks provided are very yummy, and milk and juice was also provided. Fireplace and Jacuzzi were both perfect and even helped heat the space a little. There is a pretty good movie selection available to borrow as well which we found surprising for a rainy day.

For our weekend get-a-way trip to Saugatuck, decided to book Hidden Garden Cottages. It worked out perfectly as the location was superb. You are right in the midst of downtown Saugatuck .. and every shop, restaurant and theater that you want to visit is just a small walking distance away. We never used the car all weekend- which was great, as Saugatuck is busy in the summer months, with parking usually pretty full everywhere. Kudos to the hosts who did a great job making sure our stay was a great one. We stayed in the Tuscany cottage (seems to be most popular) and we weren't disappointed.

My husband and I recently stayed at in the Orleans cottage on our honeymoon and it was AMAZING! All of the little details Gary and Johnathan put together such as their delicious baked goods, indulgent bath products, meticulously kept garden, excellent music and entertainment selection, and much, much more made our stay the most romantic, relaxing, and unforgettable vacation. We look forward to planning our next stay at our new favorite destination!

Location, location, location! This place is a hidden gem in the heart of Saugatuck. Absolutely perfect spot for a resting place between adventures about town. Ample on-street parking or alternate off-street options for those who prefer to park off-street.The Tuscany cottage is tucked away amidst a magical garden full of gorgeous flowers which play host to an array of birds and butterflies throughout the day. The front porch is a perfect spot for a quiet morning cup of coffee. The hosts went above and beyond to provide daily breakfast and treat options catered around my diet and allergen requests. The warm welcome upon arrival was a nice intro to the area and the restaurant activities suggested were on point.

Such a wonderful place to stay. Were into day two of our stay in the San Juan suite. Full kitchen big comfy living room. Large bedroom nice bed. Bathroom has a extra large jet tub that easily fits two. Homemade muffins, fruit and yogurt for the morning. Had cheese cake for the evening treat 1st evening. Tonight its something different. This place is in the heart of town. Jonathan and Gary are thoughtful hosts.

Excellent B&B for those who value their privacy.Recently stayed here for a weekend get-away and loved it. The location is perfect for visiting the Saugatuck/Holland area. Easy walking to anywhere in Saugatuck. We were in the San Juan room and thought it was wonderful. We had a windy/rainy saturday morning and found the living room area to be wonderfully cozy and a perfect spot to wait out the worst of the weather. The "continental breakfast" left in the refrigerator was ideal for our needs. If you want something more than a muffin, yogurt, and fruit, there are options within walking distance....including a nice coffee shop just a few doors down the street. We had a wonderful time and would definitely look to stay there again when visiting the Saugatuck area.

Stayed there end of march in Kilimanjaro room. Had a nice tiny kitchen with a table/mini fridge/ microwave/ toaster oven/ sink/ utensils/ plates/ wine opener, nice bathroom with big tub, easy to use fireplace (flick of the switch), cable tv, comfy bed, easy to use thermostat, dvd movie selection by check in, and easy street parking. The breakfast was good they gave us yogurts, muffins, fruit, juice, milk, and there were some cereal options in the cabinet. They also gave us a sample cheese, cracker, and jam plate when we came in which was one so nice. To our surprise, they gave us a treat of the day which was brownies. My husband is not a sweets guy and he devoured his brownie because it was sooo good. Overall very nice stay, romantic, not overpriced. It was my first bed and breakfast actually. I get worried that those places can be rundown or not private enough...I am more of a hotel girl . But this place was excellent! Will be coming back!

Everything you could ever want for a quite, romantic vacation! Breakfast items fully stocked, gas fireplace, whirlpool tub for two, DVD's for cozy nights in bed, friendly artist town within steps of your private entrance (& you would never know you were by a high traffic street!) The hosts are at your disposal 24/7 but I doubt you'll need them very much because everything you need is already in your cottage! Amazing, amazing, amazing!!! Will be back, hopefully very soon!

We had three days here and it was wonderful. If you'd like a little extra personal touch instead of the old "run of the mill" hotels. This is the place for you! It's right downtown in Saugatuck, so everything is in walking distance.

This place was beautiful! The room, the town, the gardens and the breakfast. I am so glad I chose to stay two nights because one night was not enough to enjoy all of the area. This was truly hidden and private and just what we needed!
