Best Mechanic I have been to. Always honest, fair, and timely. I always bring my car here for a second opinion when the Dealership quotes me at something outlandish ( as they normally do) and they're always less expensive and faster. I am very grateful to have been recommended state and bay automotive. They are honest, engaging and fair. They allowed me to bring my own parts in so I could save on cost and only pay labor. The timing was extremely efficient and they had me back on the road in less than 24 hours. These guys do an amazing job! I've taken my vehicle up to them a few times and they have always treated me right. They do good work and they're very honest with you. It's nice to be able to take your vehicle to a place you can trust to fix what needs to be fixed and not try to scam you for more money. In my personal opinion they are the best in town! Vehicle troubles are already stressful enough andcan be expensive at times, but these guys do their very best to fix you right at the best price they can give you and get you back on the road proper! If you have vehicle problems definitely take it here. They'll treat you right!Services: Auto power window repair, Auto maintenance

We've been customers here for a couple years now, and have always had a pleasant experience here. Their prices seem to be very fair, they're honest about things, and the work is always great. We've definitely had some awful mechanic experiences before, and are so glad we've found this shop!

Thanks again. They fit me into the middle of the day, when I had a coolant leak, from a cracked part. Very friendly. Got me back on the road in an hour. I tipped more than the cost of the repair (to buy the team lunch), because it is hard to find businesses that operate like this, doing everything they can to meet your need. Exceptional!!!!!

Can't say enough amazing things about the owner Mark and his team at State and Bay. He has helped me to maintain my vehicle for years, as well as always helpful with any types of repairs from major to minor. They will go above and beyond to help you and they treat you like family. I can't say enough amazing things about this place don't hesitate to bring your vehicle here.

After dropping my car on a Wednesday morning to replace the A/C condenser, the wrong part was at first delivered, but I had the car back by the weekend, and the A/C works great!

My car was stolen from there and I was not reimbursed because the owner's claim was I had no plates on the car and no insurance so his insurance company wouldn't cover it. I suffered a great loss while in the hospital having surgery.

I would usually give this place 5 stars but as of yesterday my rare 1988 Monte Carlo SS w/ T-Tops was returned to me unannounced on a flatbed with T-Tops missing, dash board signals missing and they didn t even fix my car. They had it for over two month s. No one contacted me about my T-Tops & dash missing, just delivered it to me unannounced. Talked to Mark but everything he said was fishy.Service: General repairs & maintenance

After moving to Michigan and visiting quite a few places for reliable professional service for me and my car, I came across State and Bay. I no longer take my car anywhere else. I get the respect I need when I walk through their doors with quick reliable service. I'm one happy camper all thanks to Mark and his crew

I was very satisfied. Even though they weren't able to do the job my van went in as a "no start". But they did diagnose my van it was my computer, they don't have the ability to do that there. But I was very pleased my van sat there it seemed like forever. Do to a mishap on my mine & the towing of my choice behalf. I really appreciate that I they didn't blow me up or have my vehicle towed out of there. They patiently waited for me to get my guy over there to get it moved. I'm AM returning very soon now. Very nice people great service. See you soon.

These are my guys!! I called and told them my problem around 11am, car was done and ready to go before 5. They get the job done and do it right. I've been going to them 5+ years and I have always recieved the best service at a good price.

These guys had my truck for over a month, I got it back three times and each time it broke down within 24 hours and I had to take it back, I finally took it to Dex-tech down the road and they had it fixed perfectly within a week. Take your vehicle to Dex-tech on Shattuck and Bay Rd, they are WAAAYYYYYYYYY BETTER. I paid over $400 to State and Bay Auto and have nothing to show for it, except for the lesson to never take my car there again, learn from my mistake.

I've been to these guys for 2 seperate jobs and on both occasions have given me a fair and honest price. The first, a brake job, they stuck to their price even after it needed more line than expected and we're still the cheapest around. The second was a subframe job they had warned me about when thwy did my brakes. Upon further inspection the subframe needed much more work than I thought it was going to. But they did their best and kept the job alot cheaper than it could have gone. Hopefully I don't have to go back a third time and my Bonneville can hold on.
