Terrible experience. They didn't do most of the services they claimed to do on the invoice, I had to ask to get them done. The manager said most people want to get in and out quickly and that's why they didn't do them. They recommended replacing the air filter though their invoice said it was in good condition. The recommended next service was in 3,000 miles though I got synthetic which lasts for 7,000 miles. Never again.

40 minutes for a standard oil change, without going through a check list. While I was there I made no indication that I was feeling anxious because I m a firm believer in the job being done well in one s own time, but don t waste time. I had to ask if they changed the air filter after they recommended I get one. Never checked if the lights were functioning, didn t check the air in tires. And after spending $150 on a standard oil +air filter I have enough experience to know I get more for cheaper where the work gets done in fraction of the time.

I would give this place a 0 for their customer service!On Tuesday January 16th my husband woke up to a dead battery and had it jumped by a friend. He took it to Uncle Ed's Oil Shoppe in Royal Oak for a new battery. When he got there, he was told that he needs a new battery which he already assumed. The guy put in the new battery and while doing so continued to zap himself which seemed strange, like maybe he did not know what he was doing, but thought that of course he must, as this is part of his job. My husband drove home for the day which is only a couple miles from the shop.The very next day he headed to the store. On the way, the electrical started going crazy and his car completely shut off. He was able to restart it only for it to happen again after a couple hundred feet. Luckily he was not too far from home so he headed back that way. My husbands car did that bout 5 times before he made it home. He couldn't believe that there was already something wrong with his car the next day. There was no reason to believe that the new battery had anything to do with it as it was BRAND NEW. He had his car towed to the dealership where he was told that, not only was he given the wrong battery for his car but that it was installed incorrectly, hence the problem he was having.He spent $250 on the battery at Uncle Ed's, $500 at the dealership for another battery and $150 for the tow. He's now in $900 for a battery that was improperly installed. He called Uncle Ed's and the person on the phone told him to bring it back in. He did that and when he arrived, he was told they would not return it and he had to eat the cost. It was in his car for 1 day! He missed work, had to borrow a car, spend a fortune getting it fixed properly and Uncle Ed's will not return it? It was at the fault of them! All he wants is the $250 back as I think it is only right that they at least do that. We are not asking for the other $650 that was spent fixing their mistake. We just want to return the battery that was not installed correctly and get the money back. They refuse which absolutely blows my mind! Terrible customer service!

So I always go to the dealership in my city but they didn't have any openings for two weeks + I was already 300 miles overdue. I was in this city and decided to stop in. I called first, & was told they had a couple cars in the bay but would have a spot ready in 10 mins. True as their word, PETER & WILL provided EXEMPLARY service from START to FINISH! They alleviated my fears with the quarts of oil I'd need, ensured I saw the new coverage, provided real-time updates as they did it, and overall gave me PEACE OF MIND - which you CANNOT put a price on! All with a smile & being kind & professional! 50/10 stars. Highly recommend. Head over here so you can get peace of mind driving, too. if this was helpful.

The guys were so helpful and very knowledgeable. Explained the price point and details of what type of oil for my oil change. They also checked all of my fluids and advised of any small problems in other areas of my vehicle. I was very pleased with my service,

Not a good experience. The employees were inattentive and very unorganized. Seemed as though they were walking around aimlessly with a lack of communication between each other. Every step of the way took an abnormally long amount of time. When the oil change was finally finished, they cashed me out, closed the hood and said I was all set. I was not shown that the oil level was full, none of the fluids were checked, washer fluid was not topped off, air filter wasn t checked and tires were not checked. My tires were low due to the change in cold weather so I asked if they could check and fill them. Also, the previous time I was there, they had forgotten to put 2 of the valve stem caps back on and I asked if they could put them back on. One of the tires was filled properly and the rest were still low or the same and they also forgot to replace the valve stem caps. I went to the gas station and filled the tires myself and bought the valve stem caps to replace. I cannot recommend going here unless some significant changes are made.

I used to have consistently great experiences at this location, but that s changed recently. Twice. Once they left the oil cap loose under the car and it slowly leaked oil. We only found out when we brought car in for low engine oil and they admitted their mistake. I went back for the next oil change and their staff was very slow and very rude. I sat in the bay for 20 min with no one attending my vehicle or explaining any reason for delay, and when I asked all I got was a rude and curt response. I left without any service.

Good morning, I just want to give a review that I had yesterday at around 2:00. I went inside them Uncle Ed's where I usually go for years and I don't see a lot of new faces and they really didn't know what they was doing. They wanted to charge me $91 for just changing the oil but I usually get the air windshield fluid. All my fluids check they didn't do it. I had to say something for $91

I came in for an oil change and asked if they would fix my license plate that had a stripped screw in it, I believe it was Peter who fixed it at no cost. Both Peter and Justin were great!Service wad quick, friendly, and helpful.

I like going there because they let me sit in my car while they do all the checks and what not on my vehicle. Tire pressure, air filters, oil change, windshield washer and more I m sure! They offered me a coupon, which helped immensely. They were polite and explained what they did.

Not the best - I typically get a price before the work starts. I paid $120 for an oil change atLeast $30 more than I ve paid in the past. I asked to check my headlights because one was not working. The crew insisted my headlight was working. However, when I left the headlight was not working. Disappointed.

Quoted $74 for an oil change. I had a $20 off coupon and the price went down to $61. Once in the bay the price went to $103 until I said I was quoted $61 with my coupon. When we went to settle up was told $91 was being put on my card. I repeated that we had agreed on $61, and the manager stated the coupon was removed but he would put it back on. My card was supposed to be charged $61, receipt said that I had been charged $70.07.

I am witnessing a business go down hill. Kind of interesting to watch. No tire check, no windshield washer fill (which was empty, filled myself at home). No cross checks on steps completed. Limited staff on hand.

Josh was a huge help. I had an issue with my oil change at another location causing my oil pressure light and check engine light to come on. Josh provided extensive support and beyond to resolve the problem. Will continue to use their services

My name is Barbara Kerr. I had work on my car several times this year at Uncle Ed's Oil Shoppe at 31717 Woodward Royal Oak location. I want to give praise to Josh, your manager. He is one of the most pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient managers I have ever delt with. I told my family and friends to go there for their oil changes. Location is understaffed and not well trained. I am concerned about the accuracy of the service. I had to remind them to even check my lights. Very disappointed.

Don t waste your customers time chumming it up with people you know in cars in the bags while you have a line of customers waiting outside. You guys there to change oil or hangout with your friends?
