First of all I made an appointment and when I got there everything went very smooth. I didn t have any problems on time he went over my options on what I wanted, and explained everything in detail. I replaced the mid mufflers on my 2021 Daytona 392 with Vibrant 1794s. The welds came out very clean And it took an hour less then originally anticipated. Very fair price and honest work. Will be returning for more exhaust work in the near future.Service: Exhaust

Everything at TLC car care went smooth and efficiently AND they are working for the customers best interest. A+++.I recently had some exhaust work done here. Made an appointment and showed up at 830am and was out by 930am. Front office staff and Nick and Pat did a great job replacing the broken exhaust hangers. They also let me in the shop bay to view the problems and solutions and explain everything to me. They even went the extra mile and spray painted over the brackets and welds to keep them from rusting, and realigned the tailpipes to sit better. I would trust them to take good care of your vehicle and be honest with you.Service: Exhaust

What a great place that has aprofessional, friendly staff. About to get on highway, had tire emergency, they took CARE of me. Forgot tireman's name Pat or Paul, that took expert care of my vehicle. Will gladly recommend to ALL

We needed a custom pipe to match our ground effects package. Jason at Royal Oak took great care of us. Welded up a piece that matched perfectly, and at a fair price! Thank you TLC!

Nick was amazing and very thorough. He went above and beyond to make sure the issue I was having with my truck was taken care of quickly and professionally. They were very diligent with their work. Absolutely would recommend for anyone looking for a shop that cares and does great work!

They were highly recommended by a friend. I had no brake lights. They diagnosed the problem promptly and communicated my options for repair in a professional and easy to understand manner. My vehicle was ready before the quoted time. The cost was reasonable. I was treated with respect and thanked for choosing them. TLC is my new auto repair shop. Jason is the man, he is no joke. He welded a full exhaust system on my camaro no problem. His attention to detail and craftsmanship is second to none. I'd recommend coming here, Especially for your project car needs. Great dude, great price, great work. I cant say enough about it

I wish I had gotten the name of the man who rescued me today. I was having a bad day already when my power steering stopped working and I was stranded in Royal Oak. TLC Car Care was the closest auto shop and I prayed for a miracle. They had no appointments available anytime soon and he was already working on something else when I came in and asked for help. The fact that he took the time to help me was really telling of the quality of care here. Thank you so much, kind stranger. If you know who this is, give him kudos. I will be back to schedule an actual appointment next time. Thank you thank you thank you

Great Place to get your car serviced. Reliable, Honest, Fair Prices and clear on what you truly need or don't. No BS or up selling. Would go back in a heartbeat. A simple metric I used all my life, can my wife take in her car and receive trust worthy service. The answer is YES. Jason and crew do fine work.

Gave me his expert advice, pointed me in the right direction and didn't charge me a dime. Could have charged me a bunch for bs work but It's obvious that isn't the type of business they run here. The whole family of shops have provided top notch service. From Gary at top tech just up the road to Jason here at tlc--they've keep my ole jeep running like it just came off the line. Highly recommend and trust their work. Only place I go for car work here in Royal Oak. Keep up the great work!

I've taken three different cars to TLC for exhaust work. Years ago, they installed a new custom exhaust system (they were the ONLY shop in Royal Oak I could find that could even do it) on my 1986 Monte Carlo SS. They did an excellent job, and the price was more than fair. A little over a year ago, they installed catalytic converters on my 2009 Infiniti G37 for hundreds of dollars less than the dealer was going to charge. Most recently I brought in a 2012 Subaru Forester that the dealer said needed a $4,500 exhaust system to fix a rattle. TLC charged me $150 to install a couple new pieces of pipe. I can't say enough good things about these guys. If you need exhaust work done, this is the place to go.Service: Exhaust

Jason is the man. Guy knows his stuff and is just an honest dude that does good work. If you need anything welded, hes your guy. Everything has been reasonably priced work and I've had multiple cars serviced here.

Frankly, I have a pretty beat up, old car & its still chuggin' along thanks to Jason . I don't know Jack about cars but he's patient when I inquire-- I always check my quotes w/fam & friends & every time its a deal! So dude's honest, does good work, and the prices are fair.

After the dealership told me I need a new muffler at $840+Labor, TLC quoted me $120+Labor. When I arrived the tech looked at the problem, told me I did NOT need a new muffler, and fixed it by replacing a small section of the muffler instead, for only $50 and in just 20 mins!8/27/14 UPDATE: Had TLC fix my boyfriend's stuck caliper. They were able to complete the repairs the same day and were the most competitive after I got 2 other bids from shops in the Royal Oak area. So glad I found a reliable, cost competitive shop for my car repairs.

I'm a convenience shopper. Don't think I've ever been to the same mechanic twice, but I'll never go anywhere else after working with Jason at TLC. He is as straight as it gets, and the work is superior to dealership quality.After a previous mechanic incorrectly bolted my caliper bracket, and I ended up with a hole in my wheel. He literally worked 3x's harder to cut my bill in half, than I have seen people work to double my bill.I'm a TLC customer for as long as they'll have me.

I got a price quote at Wear Master for muffler/exhaust and flex-pipe work that came out to $500. I took it to TLC and Jason did it for $390. Very satisfied and honest.

Had them replace my exhaust manifold. My car was worse after getting it back. I complained and they wanted $80 just to look at it again. They forgot to reconnect my sensors which I had to reconnect myself and the repair didn't even last a year. This happened about 8 years ago and I am still mad they never offered to fix their mistake.

Received a coupon in the mail for an oil change and brake inspection. Wouldn t schedule an oil change 5 days in advance at 5 pm. What was I thinking? An hour isn t nearly enough time for an oil change. Scheduled it for 4 o clock Monday afternoon.Left work early to make the appointment. Somebody yelled from the garage Be right there a minute or so after I walked in. Cool. The guy walks in, about 6 1 reddish goatee. Looking down at the desk moving things around for a moment, not saying anything. Looks up at me expectantly - still says nothing. I say I m here for an appointment at 4. Starting to feel like a major inconvenience, I stand there like an idiot while he fumbles with the computer. After a couple minutes he says spell the last name. I do. Another minute. He stands up ok just the oil change then? I say no, also the brake inspection and I need a tire patched and hand him the coupon. He appears flustered and says uhh I don t think we ll have time for the tire. We go back and forth for a second - how long is the oil change gonna take? - an hour - an hour for an oil change? And how old will it take you to patch a tire? - he eventually just says we don t have one to patch the tire.I feel like that s pretty ridiculous. Not only have I waited 5 days for my appointment, but I left work early to make an earlier appointment for them since they close at 6. 2 hours isn t long enough for a 25 minute oil change and a 10 minute tire patch? Obviously they don t have anyone scheduled after me at 5 because they wouldn t schedule me that late originally. Not only was I made to feel like a pain in his neck, but he wouldn t work with me to perform a quick, simple procedure that became necessary between the time I scheduled the appointment and the day of the appointment. I left without their service and brought my business went to another company who wasn t too busy to assist their customers. Needless to say I won t be returning to nor recommending this shop in the future.

I have only been here once but customer service was advice expectation & they finished servicing my vehicle quickly. Results could vary obviously but I had a great experience. Btw, it was during Sep 2020 I went so it's a recent visit.

Honest and trustworthy mechanics that have been around for while. Taken many cars here over the years. Still highly recommended by friends and aquaintances.
