I highly recommend that this shop for all your auto care needs. Abe did a great job making sure all my issues were taken care of. I did not know my vehicle was still covered under warranty and he was able to handle a fairly large job for me for no out of pocket cost! Honest, timely and great customer service!

I went to the Precision Tune 702 N. Main St in Royal Oak to get an estimate on replacing a coolant hose. I had previously gotten my oil changed at another establishment and they told me that my vehicle needed $1800 worth of work but they would give me a discount. I don't know how they determined this by changing the oil. The Precious Tune workers in Royal Oak checked my car completely. There was nothing wrong with my vehicle. THANKS Precision Tune for NOT SCAMMING an elderly woman.

I went to Precision Tune Auto Care in Royal Oak three days ago. (I went to the auto zone before I came to this place, I'm about to put coolant oil by myself but I want someone to check it before) The light of the dashboard shows it was overheating. So, I asked the receptionist to please check it for me, and I waited there for an hour for that. There were two people waiting before me. A young guy came out and he told me that the coolant was leaking I was looking at the coolant before I got there and it looked like there wasn t enough coolant in the reservoir, it was less than half. He said that they were gonna fix it and charge me $1077. I was shocked after I heard that. he walked with me to the garage and showed me where it was leaking but I didn't see anything leaking under it. What I see is he filled coolant oil more then Max. I ask him why you filled too much oil in there. And said it was leak that is why we filled more in there (you really know what you are doing?) Then a young guy was going to give me a discount for $200. It shows on the receipt that is $824.75. After I said I would think about it. He also asked me if I wanted to go with their finance options after. Then I took my car back home. I could not sleep that night, I thought I had to buy a new car. The next day I took my car to check with another mechanic, and a guy who worked there lifted my car up and checked the engine. My car was running for 30 minutes while he was checking, he said Nothing was leaking and nothing was wrong with the engine, the only thing that happened is that someone overfilled the coolant so, a guy took coolant oil out. After I was driving all day today, nothing was wrong with the car. It made my day after. Please double-check your car or take a picture before you go anywhere or the best choice for you is do not come to Precision Tune. Can you imagine how many people came here and get ripped off?I will not call anyone just so you know it waiting my time period. I want people to know how bad a mechanic you are. My friend is an engineer at Ford company and he told me everything

The BEST!!! Called them on a Monday morning asking if I could come in and have them reattach my review mirror. They said sure come in when you can. Got there at 3:30. Loved the very welcoming lobby - great black comfy chairs- big screen TV that happened to have Seinfeld on, loved that- coffee and Tate cookies. Also very festively December decorated. Took my car right away and had me out the door in 30 minutes. Will definitely go to them again and highly recommend.

I visited this precision tune auto on main street in Royal oak Michigan and requested service to my vehicle. The receptionist was very polite in the meantime I was waiting for my vehicle to be fixed the owner assured me that this location was owned by some one else who gave the location a bad image and he's been doing damage control to bring in new customers. I requested a number of things to be fixed and my heater coil find out a year later that he charged me for a new unit but left me with the old heater coil that he flush out to see if it would work again and it did work until it got cold outside when I turn on my heater same problem as it was early that year and didn't fix any request items but they billed my warranty company a thousand dollar bill I called them to let them know that they never fixed my issues and they wanted me to come back but no thanks I had a enough of the run around and spend my own money on a rental car that they didn't reimburse me for just a terrible waist of time and money I will never go back

My car was having issues and I sent an email after hours asking if I could bring it in. I received a prompt response telling me that they could diagnose it in the morning. I brought it in and they were able to both diagnose it and repair it the same day for a very reasonable price. I also found the employees to be very friendly and forthcoming. I will certainly bring my car back if it requires more service; although, I hope that won't be in the near future.

Went into the shop because my Equinox was giving me a reduced engine power message the shop said that it was a gas pedal sensor and spent over $1,000 on the repair just to pick up my car a week and a half later and have the same problem, and then was told not to bring it back there because they did everything that they could do. Went to another shop the owner Mitch figured out the problem in less than 20 minutes it was just a dirty throttle body and he replaced it for nothing and told me that he felt sorry for me because there was no way I should have had to replace the gas pedal

They have provided good customer service both times I have taken my vehicle there. Prices were reasonable and fair. My vehicle was ready when promised and they communicated well. They didnt pressure me to get additional work done. I will be taking my vehicle there the next time also. I had my break changed there over a year ago, but recently start making noise. The employee who changed my break didn't put the repair on the system and he left the company. When I went back for repair last week, I just realize they cannot find the repair on their system. The owner, John, end up honor the warranty and fixed the issue without charge. I would recommend this shop because they are honest people, and my car now running smooth without any noise.

An honest mechanic is tough to find! These guys have been in business a long time and they are great. They shoot you straight and do good work. Auto work is always expensive , but hey they do honest work for an honest price. Ive had quotes that are double from other shops for the same work. I trust these guys. Sometimes I just have them diagnose the problem and fix it myself. Did a fuel pump on my 2002 venture that way cuz I couldnt afford parts and labor...wish I could have!

Great place and friendly staff. My Subaru needed a head gaskets and timing belt done so i took it to dealership. Got a quote of $1600 + parts. Which was ridiculous, so i was shopping around and found this shop. They offered me a great deal. So far put 25000 miles on a car. Runs and Drives great *knocking the wood*, guys did an excellent job. Hopefully will get my brakes done soon, taking it back to Royal Oak =)

These guys have consistently done an excellent job and helped me save money wherever I can. They are very quick, I've never had a car in the shop with them for longer than 48 hours. They did wonders with my jeep. They have a great attitude and really go the extra mile so your car can go an extra 100,000.

I have taken several vehicles here for years. John is a great mechanic. He will usually offer options on the repair based upon your budget or the age and value of the car. Quality craftmanship in every repair. I have never had to take a car back because of any workmanship. I would recommend to anyone.

All your services are great. Manager Jeff Stokes is great at customer service. While I have been to Precision Tune many times, I am always pleased at the level of service I receive. My car is the only one I have. It is my one and only mode of transportation so I cant be without it. The team at Precision Tune get me in, serviced and on my way in short order.

Went to Precision Tune Auto Care recently (December 2013) for a tire alignment. I'm seeing a lot of bad reviews, but the management recently changed and I assume that explains the excellent service I received. They explained to me exactly what I needed to know and potential causes of the problem. The customer service was excellent, the waiting room was clean and offered refreshments, and I was in and out within an hour. I will definitely go there the next time I need assistance with my car.

These guys are great. It is hard to find an honest mechanic these days. The windows on my car wouldn't work. I got a call from Precision and they told me that they just cleaned the contacts and only charged me 1 hr of labor. On top of that they gave me a free rental. They really work hard to earn your business.

I take my vehicle to John and he's a delight to work with. Even during my oil changes he really goes the extra mile and tells me of any repairs that I may need or anything that looks worn in a non pressuring manner. The work received has stood the test of time and 1000s of miles. I would recommend him to anyone looking for quality work with a friendly staff.

Neve have I been robbed by a place of business before today. Precision Tune in Royal Oak just charged me to not find and fix what was wrong with my vehicle.I know there s not much accountability with businesses and their employees anymore, however this is a warning to the public.Professional robbery at its finest.

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!!!!I was in need of a vehicle and saw that "Le" (the owner) was selling a car on Craigslist. I felt it would be in excellent condition due to the fact that he had pretty decent reviews. I soon realized that I was wrong. After a 35 minute drive to him, I test drove the vehicle and told him an offer of what the car was worth according to Kelly blue book and my personal experience because I wanted this car in particular after doing extensive research! The car had a hand full of issues! (The axle needed fixing, the alternator belt was not working causing the engine to make a ticking sound, and there were minor electrical issues) And he also didn't have a service record which was alarming because he's the one who's "been fixing" the car and he's a "master mechanic" anyone who's honest would have one. Le said that he wouldn't take my offer and let me purchase the car for what it was worth, he wanted me to pay (majority,or in full), leave my money and the car with him and basically pay him for the rest of that should have honestly been taken care of when he listed it as "excellent condition" in his ad. Then when my personal mechanic asked him if the title was in his name he said "No,it's a jump title!" Which is illegal! He quickly got angry and jumpy saying that he didn't want to sell it to me anymore and that we (me, my mom, and my mechanic who was on the phone) were too complicated" all we said is that we wanted to write the money order out to the owner who's name was on the title or speak with them since he was "selling it for her" who was also a "him" at another point. and a "Him and her" at another. I'm sorry that doing things the right way are "complicated" but clearly something shady was going on! He said that it would take him 30 minutes to find the number and he wouldn't have time. I'm not saying don't go to him for repairs because I haven't had one (nor will I be getting any after this) but please just be careful going here guys! Also!!! Don't buy a car from ANYONE if their name isn't on the title! I'm not writing to bash him, but to help him to see a genuine concern from a genuine person spending their hard earned money! Do some self evaluating! Honest service income lasts longer than a quick profit being shady! P.S. if you're selling a vehicle "for a customer of yours" you should be able to pull the number up with no problems! And you should know if it's a guy or lady. I'm just saying!

Brought my car in for an oil change. Hadn't scheduled an appointment or anything, just brought it in on a Monday late morning. They got to it within an hour. Cordial attendant at the counter. Will definitely go back again.

I wish I could write separate reviews for the staff and for the owner.The staff is amazing. The manager, John, is among the most honest polite and trustworthy mechanics I have come across. He and he alone are why my family has brought their cars here.The owner however, horrid customer service skills. I dropped my car off at 1030 am requesting an alignment and brake pads. He instructed me I needed to leave the car there and they would get to it. When I requested any sort of time frame, he responded "by the end of the day" (which was not at all helpful). I was aware they closed at 3 at least. 2.5 hrs later, 1pm, I come back to check in after having walked around RO. I figure then he will tell me if I need a ride to come back later or if the wait time won't be much longer. Either way was fine with me. Just communicate. He tells me my car is up next, I say great. Walk around another 2 hrs, come back, it's 3, closing time. My car hasn't moved. They haven't even looked at it. Owner completely lied to me. At this point I'm sunburnt and upset. What kind of business owner can't even respectfully communicate with their customers and mechanics? If you don't know the answer, don't give one. Getting any sort of service or answers from this guy during my 5 hrs of trying to get this done was excruciating.I may call and ask to work with John only, but it will be tough for me to ever give my money to this place again knowing it goes to this owner. Respect is expected.

I have taken my Saab to Precision Tune Auto Care on several occasions over the past year and had GREAT service. I even stopped by the other night, after hours, and the Owner was willing to drop what he was doing to assist me with a small repair...at no charge. As a Royal Oak resident I am lucky to have them only a block from my home Thank you Lee and team!

I was cruising on I-75. All of sudden, a big snap noise came from my engine compartment and lost power at same time. Pulled over, and desperate called all around. Precision Tune Auto Care was the second one I tried. Luckily they could come with a flatbed to tow my 2000 Nissan Quest in really short period of time. With next couple hour of diagnosis, they discovered that the timing belt snapped and fortunately did not do damage to the head or valve. They were able to get the repair done at same day at a really reasonable price.They were very polite and professional.Thank you Precision Tune Royal Oak for your quick and honesty. I will definitely come back again
