My car was done very quickly. Dan was able to get me into a rental even though they're not open on Saturdays. Fast and friendly service. They worked flawlessly with my insurance. Great people to work with! They are super nice and really care about what they do. I recently had body work on two cars done with them. Both times they gave me my cars back cleaned and detailed and looking great! Both times they were willing to work within my budget to get my cars fixed as cost effectively as possible using a combination of new and used parts. They do great work and I am very happy with the final product on both cars. I will definitely use them again!

I got in a car accident and Jeff at Star of Rockford did a wonderful job fixing my car. Not only is Jeff very skilled at what he does, he had great customer service. He was very kind, HONEST, and regularly updated me on the status of the car. My parts were taking a little longer than expected, so my car was at the shop longer than I originally planned, but Kim at the front desk was so sweet that she even offered me a rental car for half-off. If you have anything that you need fixed, I highly recommend choosing Star of Rockford, because the people there are kind and honest and they genuinely care about their customers.Service: Body & Trim

Very professional group of people. Timely and very responsive. They did an amazing job keeping informed with the progress of the repairs on my truck. They only had to fix the bumper and a few other minor things.....but they washed it and cleaned the inside of my truck!!! Top notch service. Not that I m looking forward to another accident.....but I will go back to them in a heartbeat. I highly recommend them.Service: Body & Trim

Everyone here is friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They were easy to get ahold of and quickly got our vehicle in for repairs, while also securing us a rental. They completely handled the insurance and I barely had to speak with anyone at Progressive, which was nice. I was kept in the loop on the timeline of repairs and they stuck to their initial estimate of when the car would be ready, even though they were slowed down a little by my insurance company. They took a frustrating process and made it all so easy and run smoothly. I d highly recommend Star of Rockford for auto body repairs- you know you ll be in good hands with them.Service: Body & Trim

Star of Rockford was wonderful to work with on the repair of my car. Kyle and the team at Star were always professional, friendly, caring, helpful and communicated frequently on the status of my car. The complexity of the repair was substantial and they worked hard to adhere to the time frame while dealing with the unforeseen quarantine right in the middle of the repair. I now have my car back and it feels and looks brand new. This is the first time I have ever been in a car accident. Not knowing where to go, they were one of the recommendations from my insurance company and I am so HAPPY I chose them. I would highly recommend Kyle and the team at Star for any and all of your repair needs. They are truly the BEST!

The staff did a great job with my car. I hit a raccoon a few weeks back that damaged my front end and my grille. It looks great overall and they also washed my car after they were done repairing it. I got rear ended at the end of January and brought my car to Star. Everyone was so nice and welcoming to us, helping through the process. The repairs took longer than expected but they kept me updated throughout the process and gave us some free car washes for the delay. My car was impressively clean when I got it back. We had some damage to one of our vehicles. Star was recommended to us by several people in our area. I called and the person I spoke to was great. He reassured me that they could get us taken care of. The next morning, I stopped in to get a quote. When I walked in to the office, one of the gentlemen asked if I was there to rent a car. I said I needed a quote on some body damage. I then stood there while he chatted with someone else (I'm assuming another employee because it sounded like a personal conversation) for several minutes. Once they finished talking, he came over and started helping me. I explained the situation and that we wanted a quote as if we were going to file a claim and another as if we were not. I was very clear on what items we wanted to fix and said that we did not need to quote fixing everything because some of the cosmetics don't matter to me and I know that they would be enough that the car would be totaled out.He set a good timeline for me and got me the quote the next day he was in. The quote was for repairing every piece of damage including something that I told him was not from the accident. I ended up calling to get clarity on the situation. He told me that the quote he gave me was for if we filed a claim, which is why he included everything. I understand his thoroughness, but I had been clear that if we had to repair everything, we did not need to quote it because I would not repair it. I asked if he had a quote prepared for us if we were paying out of pocket, as I had requested. He told me that I just needed to take $3 off the labor cost per hour. I told him that the quote he had given had a lot of items I did not request and was not clear on some of the items, so I could not use that to figure out what the cost would be. He then explained to me that it is tough to give an accurate quote because using aftermarket parts means the price can change and that he could not get me in until some time in July.This all happened on June 14. I told him I wanted to get on the schedule, but needed a quote for the items we wanted to repair. I reached out last a week ago to follow up on when the repairs would be scheduled and if he had the updated quote. I have still not heard anything. This morning, I reached out to another garage for a quote. I spent less than 10 minutes with them. In that time, they were able to get me on the schedule with a clear timeline of when the repairs would be done. They gave me a quote, to the penny, and the quote was almost $2000 cheaper than what I received from Star.I want to believe that this was just a bad experience, but it feels like someone tried to take advantage of me. I can't know for sure because I never got an updated quote to compares apples to apples. It has been almost a month since I first reached out to Star and I still have no concrete information. In less than 10 minutes with another garage, I got what I needed and the repairs will be done within a week.

We have had several of our vehicles repaired at Star of Rockford and each time has been 100% top notch! I highly recommend this business. Fromgetting the estimate to picking up our completely restored vehicle and each step in between, they are professional, friendly, prompt and do excellent work! A+++

Excellent repairs, detailing, paint job on my 2005 Dodge Ram Truck that had tree fall onto the front end of the truck while driving on 17 Mile. All the personnel I encountered were so helpful. I got a detailed price list for all the work, parts to be done with constant updates on the work for the 12 days. I am going to use this company for my other car repairs.

Dan and his staff were very helpful. Stopped in to have them look at my windshield (it had some "grease" like substance on it). They were able to clean it very quickly. Appreciate this kind of customer service and love supporting a local, family owned business! Thank you

I am so happy with the work Star of Rockford did! I got a pretty good door ding on my brand new Jeep and I can't tell it was ever there. Everyone was so nice and courteous and they even cleaned up the inside and disinfected it! I will definitely use them again should I ever need body work done.

They did a fantastic job on repairing my Grand Prix after it was totaled hitting a deer this fall. Great body work, cleaned up the car really nice and they did all this below the original quote I was given. Highly recommend. A+++Service: Body & TrimService: Body & Trim

When a deer jumped out in front of my Subaru and took out the hood, grill, lights, fenders, etc, I was just sick . My pretty pearl paint job would be hard to match and I knew it . But now you would never know it was damaged. The Star team did a fabulous job. They stayed in touch, arranged for a rental and spit polished the car on pick up day. Fabulous work !

The whole team was a pleasure to work with the entire time! They went above and beyond in making sure we were satisfied, had all our questions answered, and had everything we needed. They even helped get the kids car seats switched to the rental car then back to our car when it was ready. We will definitely choose Star of Rockford again, and recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent auto shop!

They run a tight ship at Car Star in Rockford. I experienced exceptional customer service and vehicle repairmanship following two collision incidents involving deer. Recently, I had out-of-pocket repair work done on my vehicle's rear bumper at a very reasonable expense. Highly recommend this repair shop for quality service and for the convenience of an in-house car rental service.

Dan and his team did an incredible job and we re able to turn it around in a day! I only had a few minor rust spots fixed on my mini van lift gate but it looks fantastic! I highly recommend Star if Rockford.

Nice work. The issues we had were quickly fixed. We have had several cars fixed here over the last 14 years we have lived in this area. We have found them to be very flexible and they work well with our insurance company. Enterprise car rental is onsite, if you need a car rental, but you'll want to let Carstar know you need a rental, when you schedule the work, so you know a car will be available for you.

I had my 8 year old, very in need of a cleaning, Jeep detailed here. They did an excellent job the interior and exterior were spotless and they even cleaned all the hidden spaces and compartments. I am very happy with them.

A great job done quickly! Kyle worked hard to keep all part original and not replace amy of the body pieces unless absolutely necessary. We did find a few minor light scratches when I picked it up but he assured me they would be buffed out as soon as I can come back for a quick 20 minute visit to the shop. He also worked with my warranty company and insurance company. I didnt have to do much work at all he handled all of the claim information directly. Highly recommended using them for any and all body work in the future!

Great experience. Kyle was prompt with a estimate and likewise with scheduling me in to make the repairs. The price came in lower than estimated due to access to used parts. The "office staff" were very friendly. I have only used Star Body for many years and plan to continue. (Even back when over on Plainfield Ave in GR) This visit affirms that plan. Thanks.Bob L.

I was in a bad situation and needed some paint work ASAP. Dan got me in right away and turned around THE NEXT DAY! They really helped me out in a pinch at a very fair price and did a great job. I look forward to doing more business with them.
