South Street Auto in Rochester, MI is the most reputable place of business I have had the pleasure of dealing with. They absolutely stand behind their warranty work. If anyone is in need of auto repairs, I would not hesitate to take my vehicle to South Street Auto!

We have one new vehicle in our garage and one 18 year old Mercedes R500. The R500 looks like it s in great shape but has had the check engine light on for two years. I paid the dealer to tell me what s causing that check engine light to be on and they said they can t seem to figure it out. I kept on driving it and in Feb 2024, the steering was making some really loud squeaking sounds whenever I turned the wheel so I took it to the Mercedes dealer in Rochester. They said it needs a new power steering pump and they searched all the Mercedes dealers in the country and the part was not available. They said I could put in a third party pump but they cannot warranty it. I was at a point where I was ready to trade it in for a new car or junk it. As a last resort, I took it to South Street. They took the car in and the next day they called and said there is nothing wrong with the power steering pump. However, there was a leak in the power steering reservoir and they fixed it. They also mentioned there is a leak in the coolant reservoir and I know they were correct because I kept having to top off coolant. The dealer didn t mention anything about this. South street fixed that as well. The car was due for an oil change when I took it to the dealer but since they said they couldn t fix it, I didn t do the oil change. While the car was at South street I asked them to do the oil change. When I picked the car up, I noticed the check engine light was no longer on and the car was back to normal steering. I m definitely never going to the dealer again. The car has 206,000 miles on it and is running great, it has no rust at all. I m going to drive it until the bolts fall off. I highly recommend South Street, they are honest people and everyone in the place has a pleasant personality with no attitude issues.They also give you a 3 year warranty on the work they do!

I have a 2016 Audi Q3. It was losing oil I just bought it used but of course I wasn't expecting to have to fix something in the motor so soon so you can imagine my emotions at the time we're not good. South Street Auto care ask me what was wrong with the car and when I told them with my emotion they listened very patiently they told me not to worry they'll get it all checked out and get back to me I dropped it off in the evening before they closed on Monday before Thanksgiving. Tuesday morning they called me before 9:00 a.m. to let me know they had already seen what was wrong, to me the price was reasonable with everything that needed to be done so reasonable I did not feel taken advantage of at all. They told me they would start working on the car and try to get it done ASAP did i mention it was right before Thanksgiving but I told them please don't rush. the parts came in late Tuesday so they wasn't able to get started on my car until Wednesday. I know this because they kept me updated with every step. I was able to pick up my car that Wednesday evening. because of what needed to be fixed it was completely understandable. to my surprise when I went to pick up my car it came with a wonderful warranty and roadside assistance I was taking a trip to Tennessee the following week so the comfort and the security that they gave me was priceless. I would highly recommend South Street auto care for your car.

South Street Auto Care repaired my vehicle and I had a wonderful experience with them! When I called for service, they were professional, helpful and kind. They adhered to all estimates and timelines. They also reached out a few days after I got my car back to confirm that all was well! I would definitely recommend them for any service needs you may have.

My trust in them has increased even further. The facility is far from my place but it is worth it to take your vehicle there. One thing is for sure the staff will give you a proper diagnostic report categorically. Thanks for fixing my cooant issue.. its been over 3 weeks now and i have not observed any coolant leak from any where...

South Street was very timely in setting up a near appointment and had a loaner car ready for use while my car was being worked on. Very quick and accurate service, was able to diagnose sounds on my vehicle very quickly and provide back a quote. Great service.

Great experience. My older car that I'm not super interested in replacing right now had a list of problems and they ranked them in terms of priority for safety + integrity of the car. My coolant housing and thermometer were totally ruined from being put together wrong at a previous shop (which I used to like but the owner retired and sold to apparent morons) so my car was leaking a LOT of coolant - they got it all taken care of. Got new tie rods too. Took the car for a roadtrip the day after the repairs and it ran wonderfully. Guys stayed 20 minutes past closing time to get it done on a Friday, I really appreciated that + the loaner car. I'll be back for an oil change in a couple months and probably get a few smaller things fixed too.

I always have confidence that South Street, Auto Care will be thorough and fair with me. My husband and I brought our cars exclusively to this shop when it was previously owned by Robert and called North Hill Marathon. It says something to me about the trust that Robert has in the new owners that he is still involved in the business.

We can't say enough about the quality of service. When we have car issues, we always go here. Our most recent visit affirmed why. Our son's RAM truck was having an issue. They diagnosed the problem, AND rather than give us a quote for the repair, South Street Auto Care (SSAC) contacted the dealer to verify that it was covered under warranty. It was. SSAC could have easily profited from our not being aware. Instead, they shared the warranty information with us, and saved our young son a lot of money. Good people.

Just picked up my Panamera, my dash gauges and all console controls were dead, a complex diagnostic that they quickly narrowed down and resolved. Good communication through the process and had the car back to me within the week. Great job.

South Street had my vehicle for abt a week during which time I was fortunate to have a free loaner car. I was updated on a daily basis. Repairs were done accurately and came in a bit below the estimate. I had a couple of very minor items (missing screw & stuck key) that were repaired at no charge. I highly recommend South Street Auto Care & will return.

It may have been several years ago but I brought them my 2002 volkswagen jetta with a botched sub frame job from another shop they were super friendly reasonable on the price set me up in a loaner while they did the work and I could not have been more pleased. After all these years I still send people your way and will be in with my buddy and his car to see you guys again soon! As expected you guys knocked it out of the park on my buddys Honda accord went as far as to get a hard to find camshaft for it you guys rock!!!!

I ve been here for basic oil changes and quick fixes (small leaks, etc). They comstantly have coupons and seem to offer a fair price and do solid work. I ve not had to take a car back for something they fixed. Generally quick turnarounds.

This company is very straight forward to deal with. Have used them twice for major maintenance and one bake booster issue. Delivered services in a timescale as promised and cost to the estimate given . I reconend them for any car maintenance. David turner

This place is the best! We had a problem with our car that another shop could not figure out after 3 weeks of being there. I took it to South Street and they took time and finally found the problem. Drake was great to deal with and kept me updated the whole way through. I will use them exclusively in the future for any repairs and service.Services: Carburetor cleaning, Engine repair

Drake and his team did a wonderful job diagnosing my daughters car. Sadly it wasn t worth fixing due to the severity of its issues. But South Street cares about their customers and it was a good experience. We will be back!

I bought a 2010 cadillac cts perfomance with a couple issues that had not been seen by past mechanics. I have been provided a loaner car each time I have brought my car in and I have been able to even exchange a loaner car I was not wanting to drive! They were timely professional and Steve has been a delight, highly recommend

I love South Street. Not only is the customer service amazing, but the fact that they do a good job, give you a car to use, and extra deals and services after the fact is what makes this company top-notch. Even if I were to find cheaper prices, I would still choose them for everything else they provide. M my friend recommended south street auto to me and im thankful. I live in Royal Oak but I drive half an hr bc I know I can trust them. The dealership I went to told me I needed to do this and that but when I went to this place, they said I didn t need the services or that I didn t need as many. They are also very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place!
