My jeep was put on scanner and threw a number of errors. They told me it was more extensive than they felt they could handle at this time. I appreciate the honesty and they did not charge for their time.

Dropped truck off too get fixed had too call him six times before he answered too tell me he looked at it for a hour and couldn't figure anything out. You'd think a mechanic would do mechanic things and at least diagnose what the issue is

I knew when I took it in what was wrong .... they were honest with me. They didn't try to get more done it did things that weren't broken like some places I know. Final cost was less than the estimate also. Very goood people here trustworthy... decently priced and friendly.

Had taken both my vehicles to Dave. Great work fair price. Even when he was swamped he took my vehicles in and had a fast turn around. The only place I will ever take any of my vehicles, very skilled and knowledgeable owner and employees. They handle all of the regular maintenance on 3 of my work trucks and 1 personal vechical years ranging from 2001-2016. They also handle any major repairs, quickly getting me back on the road with complete confidence. The last time I had warrenty work done by the dealership on my 2012 ram 3500, the truck ended up at schaefers afterward to have the problem actually fixed.

Lied about what was wrong added a quart and a half more oil than required and messed up big time on a simple alignment now have to replace front tires and re pay someone else to do what they should have!! will never go here again and suggest noone else does either!!!

I haven't found a better auto mechanic in northern michigan, there's a reason he's busy and has returned customers for many years.

Dave got me out of a jam when I blew a brake line on my truck while on vacation. He got me in and made the repairs quickly at a reasonable rate!

I wish I could give a review. After a number of calls I let ring at least 20 times and no voicemail I couldn't reach anyone.

They serviced the air conditioning on my 19 year old pickup which wasn't working and they fixed it at a fair price. Very happy and will recommend.

Schaefer"s garage is the best. Prompt service, reasonable prices and most of all honest mechanics. Won't go anywhere elae.
