My experience was horrible. I was over charged for parts, labor, and my car still will not start right. I went in to have my catalytic converter replaced, and a broken motor mount. I ended up paying $76.48 for the mount and they charged me $171.00 for labor, the valve cover gasket cost $155.80, the labor charge was $96.00, now here's where it really gets intresting...I payed $17.72 per spark plug...8 plugs cost me $141.76... the labor cost was $199.50, and a $13.00 environment charge??? My parts...(engine mount, spark plugs, valve cover gasket) cost a total of $400.00..... Parts and labor cost $502.73 for a total of $902.73.... I spent $400 for getting 8 spark plugs and no catalytic converter lmao! What a joke, "My car is acting up, or starting up after two cranks now"! would not recommend this shop to a circus clown! Note: compare part prices, so you will have an estimate of what parts should cost, and then compare labor cost to prevent yourself from becoming a victim of shop's like "Option 1"

Avoid at all cost! My daughter had her transmission paid for by a warranty company. Option 1 forged my daughter s signature to get paid almost $6,000 for all the repairs and now refuse to get the work done and won t return the money!

Great service at Option1 on Westnedge. Corey - manager was awesome working on two of our vehicles - Nissan/Truck and Toyota/Avalon having both vehicles in and out in two days. Awesome job! Will bring all vehicles here from now on. Thanks!

Corey and the other mechanics always take great care of us when we need to use their services. Honest & upfront, and always working to get us the best price possible on parts for our vehicle. I would recommend this place to anyone needing repairs period, but especially if you ve felt frustrated with those other chain options up and down Westnedge. I brought my car to this shop as it was the closest place that my gwc warranty worked with, my car was there for over 2 years and was never fixed, they said that I needed a new engine and transmission the warranty company paid them to fix my transmission and they told the warranty company that they had completed the repair however that was not the case they just took payment and didn't do anything saying that they would fix it once the warranty company paid for the engine repair as well in witch time they failed to Submit the proper paperwork that I provided to the warranty company and my warranty expired therefore Resulting in no work being done on my vehicle, Manger said he couldn't do anything after that without the boss/ owners Approval ,the Manger and I Attempted to contact the owner/boss several times with no response so I was forced to pick up my car and I took it to Multiple other repair shops in town All of which said there was nothing wrong with the car in the first place I was without the car for over 2 years

If I could give it a negative 100 stars I would. Between this company and the partner service company L&T Auto in Three Rivers, MI, they have the worst customer service and the worst automobile service I have ever encountered. They had my Ford Explorer for a total of 6 months and had it in the shop several times for a transmission issue. It was supposedly fixed the first time from L&T but that was a joke. Took my money and did absolutely nothing to fix the transmission. Took it to Option 1 after finding out the manager of L&T was fired for a lot of unethical and underhanded deals and not fixing vehicles but charging customers a lot of money for nothing. It took me almost 5 months to be able to get my vehicle in to be checked and then another 2 months of them having it to fix after they gave me a designated time to drop it off to get fixed.This didn't happen in a timely manner and the manger acted like it was no big deal. I am disabled veteran that needs reliable transportation to get back and forth to appointments, this didn't happen either. After I received my vehicle back from supposedly getting fixed again, I started having the same issue with the transmission that I had before it was taken in to get fixed. I called the phone number and for 2 days, didn't get to talk to the manager, as well, I could not leave a message due to the voice mail being full.I was on my way back from Ann Arbor and my Explorer started to act up to the point I could no longer drive it. After putting in several thousand dollars into getting it fixed(plus not getting the veteran/military discount they offer) I had to get a new car. This has caused a major financial hardship for me since I am on a fixed income and unable to work.If you want your car serviced and fixed, find another automotive service station. NOT THIS PLACE! Worst customer service and repair service I have ever encountered!

My daughter goes to Western in Kalamazoo and I live in Grand Rapids..Her car wouldn t start and we towed it to Option 1, not knowing anything about their experience but were referred by RNR tire. Corey helped us as we were in a panic and she had school and work. They figured out what was wrong fast and fixed it and also had a few other things needed to be attended to and we are SO GRATEFUL for Awesome customer service by Corey and the fast repair from Option 1!!

Highly recommend! Not being from the area and having a daughter attending college in Kalamazoo, I had no idea where to start when she had car issues. It was late on a Thursday and everywhere I called stated that they could get it in to look at it in about 2 weeks! I thankfully stumbled upon Option 1 and spoke with Cory. He was able to have us come right over, (her car was drivable, but dangerous.. needed urgent repairs). Anyway, their team was able to get her car in the next morning and have multiple issues fixed by the end of the day on Friday. Amazing customer service, went above and beyond to make sure she was driving her car again, and it was safe. What a relief for this moms heart. I trusted them 110% from the first conversation I had with them. I could tell that Cory had a lot of integrity and compassion, also went above and beyond trying to keep the costs down and the process sped up!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Vehicle Inspection, Auto brake replacement, Oil change

Corey and Bob were FANTASTIC!! They worked with me, their customer service is Impeccable!! These 2 saw a woman and DIDN T take advantage of that fact! They talked me through everything, showed me everything. Had patience with me! And their prices are top notch! I thanked them so many times for saving my car. My heroes! Literal life savers.. I was on my way from the detroit area to Illinois and got tan off the road by a semi driver. I ran over a large tire that messed up my heat shield and basically left it hanging off my car. These guys fixed it up quickly for me to continue on with my trip safely. So much appreciate them! Amazing people, very knowledgeable, and will not have you fix anything you don t need. They really could have screwed me over. I didn t know what got broke and what didn t. They fixed only what needed to be fixed and assured me everything else was still safe and in good working order. Would recommend them to anyone! Would make the drive from detroit to see them if my car is in good enough shape to do so! Hard to find trustworthy repair men, these are your guys!Service: General repairs & maintenance

So I'd ask them to check over a few things tell me what was wrong with my Jeep and do an oil change. He told me to drop it off at 8:00 I showed up at 8:00 he was 5 minutes late I hand him the keys. 2:30 comes around I have not heard anything from him all day I give them a call they say they'll get my Jeep in in 1 hour. 4:30 comes around they close at 5:00 it's Friday I require my Jeep for work Sunday night. I called him and they said well we'll just have to keep it over the weekend and I asked him if they could do it but they were closed all weekend so his plan was just to not do it all day Friday keep it over the weekend and then maybe I guess do it Monday if they have the time. You do not schedule someone to drop their vehicle off on a day and then have no intention of doing what you said you were going to do that day. How completely unprofessional and unhinged they clearly do not care yeah maybe they know what they're doing but it doesn't matter because they can't even doing oil change and an entire work day. There are drive-thru oil change places and they cannot do an oil change from 8:00 to 5:00 how literally pathetic.Service: General repairs & maintenance

My sliding door on my van would not close. I popped into this shop to see if they did this kind of repair. After talking to Will and discussing the other problem that was scheduled on my van at another shop, I decided to have him do both repairs. Not only did he fix both of the repairs, his prices were much lower than the dealer and even lower than the shop that I previously scheduled the repair! These guys work hard! They are dedicated and honest and definitely concerned about your hard earned money! They're parking lot is full but, they definitely making you feel like you are their TOP PRIORITY!! I appreciate their hard work and dedication and I am so grateful that I have someone that I can trust!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Excellent customer service! I still can t believe the amazing price they gave me to replace my stolen catalytic converter. They got me in right away, were very fast, helpful, and went above and beyond to make my car sound normal again. Very glad I found this place.

HORRIBLE! They had my car for 3 months!!I needed my timing chain replaced, which I guess requires taking apart part of the engine. I have a warranty, so they kept blaming the warranty company for dragging their feet. I had to finally contact the warranty company myself to get the ball moving. (The warranty company was waiting for pictures from them) Option 1 finally started work 5 WEEKS after they had my car. It took them 7 MORE WEEKS to get the work done. They called me to come and get my car, and when I got there they said the check engine light had come back on and they had to do more work on it! When I finally got it back the check engine light was still on, the contents of the glove compartment was on the passenger floor, my good car phone charger was missing & a bag of clothes I had was opened and thrown all over the backseat! These people are unbelievable! Every time I called to check on my car Cory had some lame excuse as to why it wasn t done yet, but I think the 3 MONTHS speaks for itself! Oh and I have a Chevy Traverse, nothing special.Service: Engine repair

These guys are honest, have integrity, and genuinely care about their customers. I stopped in because I thought I had a wheel bearing going out, and after a careful and thorough inspection it was determined my car was safe to drive but needed new tires which was what was making the noise. They didn t take advantage of me, but looked out for me. Extremely honest and good people! I m thankful I went to Option 1!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I took my van here for the first time for service. I was skeptical at first. However, I was very pleased with every thing. The facility is very neat and clean. Melissa, Josh and Kyle were very nice. Melissa went out of her way to arrange a ride for me. Josh and Kyle took me in the service area to show me what was going on with my van. They explained thing to me in terms I could understand. I would go back to this facility and I would recommend this facility to others without hesitation.

Manual transmission and complete brakes about a year apart. I talked to Jay - he was super friendly and knowledgeable, gave me reasonable expectations about price and time and ended up exceeding them both times. The work is reliable and prices are competitive. Car trouble is very stressful and I appreciate that this place putting my mind at ease.Services: Transmission, Brakes

same experience as the previous negative reviews. poor communication, they would switch between calling me and then my wife. had our suv for 3 months and when we got it back, issue wasn t resolved and check engine light was still on. This is a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe, so nothing special. Will never return. Only came here because they accepted our warranty. they never took accountability or even apologized.

The guys here were great! Zack took the time to explain what was going on with my AC. A lot of times I feel uncomfortable in car repair shops since I dont know much about vehicles. I never felt that way once here! Pricing was very fair and they were very knowledgeable. LEAST LIKELY TO EVER RETURN!! They Will Have Had My Car For 3Weeks Today, All I Needed Were Timing Chain Replaced I Have A 2013 Chevy Malibu, I ve Called Multiple Times and The Guy Corey Says to me on the Phone That s He s Gonna Start working on it, It s Been 2 Weeks Since then, Now Everytime I Call i get No Answer!! I ve Left Voicemails With My Info And Still Haven t Gotten A Returned Call that s was About A Week ago!!! So I m Conclusion I Have Absolutely NO CLUE What s Goin on With My Vehicle because Of the Poor Customer Service and Communication Skills!! I d Give This Place -2 Stars If I could!! Came in for just an oil change with a Groupon, so nothing fancy. Pros: they were very nice and friendly, able to get me in for an appointment the next day. Cons: I got an estimated time of 30 minutes, ended up being an hour and a half. An estimate is an estimate, but I did have to miss a meeting. Also no one inside (employees or customers) was wearing a mask, which at this point is just disappointing. Close to target and the portage bike trail though so I didn't have to wait inside. This shop is legit, took my 2012 Malibu in to 4 different places because I was puzzled as to what the noise was coming from my front tire, they all said it was tire cupping! Never ever had that with the 38 cards I ve ever owned, I kept saying check the wheel bearings because I personally replaced one of them and all said it wasn t the case except Option one! Don t know what else they did but my car drives and handles better then ever!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Worst experience ever, I didn t want to give them a bad review after my poor experience. I brought my car in because it was leaking oil on April 7th, got a total run around the whole time, told me every week starting in July it would be done that week, ended up getting my car back in September. I was told by the manager Corey that they gave it a oil change. After driving 1200 my low oil light came on. Took my car in to get a oil change and oil was extremely dirty and clearly wasn t changed or topped off.Services: Auto engine tuning, Engine repair
