I felt good getting work done here in my older Sonata. They were recommended by my mechanic for work he couldn't get it to. Kenny runs an honest place and they treated me right. They didn't try to push unneeded work; just fixed a couple clamps and realigned the exhaust. I felt good about the work they did and will be back! Recommended

Kenny and the men that work for him are always helpful and get the job done right. I always take my vehicles to them to get worked on. Every time I've been there it has been a good experience and I have never been taken advantage of, like what happens at some other mechanic shops. I strongly recommend taking your car or truck to them to get fixed, they can do it, and do it right!

We had, what we thought a muffler being replaced on our car. My husband received a call and they told him that the muffler was good, but a hole in the pipe needs repair. For only 60$. Most places would have charged for a muffler and other parts that it maybe didn't need. There are not many places or people anymore who are honest and not out to scam people. We will recommend this business to everyone.

Kenny is the best mechanic I have ever done business with. I love my 10 year old suv, it is my tank. I trust Kenny to give it to me straight because I know enough about car maintenance to know when I m being shined and when I m being told true. And I was right. It turns out my check engine light goes off because my engine started consuming oil and it s tripping the catalytic converter sensor:1. Only Honda can replace2. Need to fix the oil consumption before replacing the catalytic converterAgain, only Honda or replacing the engine for a good one will workThank goodness my tank is ok to drive until I can save up to fix or replace it.Muffler Man is first come first served. So I have to drop it off before I am in the cue , but if you re having good day, they can get to it and call with an estimate within a couple days. Kenny and his crew are so worth the wait.

They fixed my stripped oxygen sensor bung and installed a new sensor very quickly and for a lot less than I anticipated! I took it to another reputable shop prior and was told by that shop they can t work on my vehicle! Muffler man is the best! I highly recommend them!!

Excellent experience. My car broke down on Wednesday afternoon and I had it towed there. They were able to get to it Thursday morning and fix it by Thursday early afternoon. I had them help with my exhaust on my CTS-V. The previous owner made it obnoxiously loud and I wanted it quieter. My car did not have a lot of room for additional mufflers but they figured out a location and made it much better than it was. I was happy with the options they gave me and the work looks good. I will go back if I ever need exhaust work.Service: Exhaust

Went in a few weeks ago to have my exhaust fixed as about 1.5-2 feet of the metal on my exhaust system fell off of my car while driving. They said they were behind when I called and still had it fixed in only 2 days. Over the weekend a section of my exhaust disconnected. I took it in today, they had it fixed in an hour and didn t charge me. I spoke with what I assume is the owner and he is honest & doesn t try to sell you what you don t need. I will be back if my car has issues & I would recommend Muffler Man to anyone.Service: Exhaust

The owner/PIC of this Muffler Man, Kenny, in my opinion is the most upfront, honest mechanic I've ever known. He's always very up front about the cost of services and shows you what is wrong if you want to see it. Doesn't try to make you get things fixed that don't need to be. They are quick and efficient. I have been taking my car here for 20+ years and I wouldn't take it to anyone else.

Review is from a retired police officer:Ignore the baseless, low ratings...that some have posted about this Muffler Man! They are FAKE REVIEWS. ONLY the five star reviews are legitimate!On 10/9/2018, I took my 2001 Mustang GT to this Muffler Man location. I experienced a professional, efficient, honest, ...repair facility.Yes, there still are a few such businesses!My car needed a new muffler, exhaust pipe adjustment, new hanger, etc. This repair was completed in about 50 minutes, while I waited.I didn't have an appointment, just walked in.I found KEN to be very personable, honest, professional, straight forward, all business.Those who have portrayed Ken, in less than admirable terms, apparently have lost touch with reality? Ken is not Dr Jekyll, and does not have split personalities.A female customer was present, during my recent visit. She thanked Ken profusely, for treating her fairly/honestly; not trying to take advantage of her female status.I highly recommend this Muffler Man, period.

Came in without an appointment and they took my car in right away! My mechanic recommended I come here and I was very satisfied with the work. Good costumer service. I would recommend coming here for your muffler repair needs.

Almost blew up my engine after having exhaust work done here. I took my car here 3 months ago to get my check engine light off for low efficiency in catalytic converter. They quoted me a price of 400 for the job and I received the car 3 days later and no light was on till a month after. I then took it to another shop to have it fixed and while investigating my vehicle they spotted a absolutely gutted catalytic converter where muffler man said to have replaced mine. This place lets cars leave in dangerous conditions and in the end set you up to have to pay for more fixes to reverse the damage they did in the beginning.Service: Exhaust

I ve been bringing my vehicles hear for 13 years. They alway do a great job at a fair price and never try to sell me anything. It s the only place in town I feel comfortable sending my wife and daughters to. Before I found this place, I had several issues with places trying to take advantage. Definitely recommend!

I definitely would recommend this Muffler Man to anyone looking for an exhaust for their vehicles! Very honest and professional service, they got us in at 8 am and was done in less than an hour. And the price that they quoted was about 50$ less when we paid the bill! They are one of the best businesses in town and I will tell all my family and friends to go to Muffler Man!!! Yes I m an honest to goodness real customer who does a lot of reviews for Google!!

I used to bring both of my cars here for service but, after having a rack installed on my Monte Carlo at $524.00 for power steering leaks ..then having to come back 3 times because the leaks were still going on, then finding out that the rack that was installed was leaking and then having a transmission noise now that I did not have before I brought it in and Ken was so very rude and told me to take it to a transmission shop...well, I will never return and I will relay this experience to all of my friends and associates. Lost a long time good customer here...what a shame!!

We dropped off my vehicle late last night. (Around 6-6:15ish) I was thinking I would just drop my keys in a drop box and be done. So you can imagine my surprise when we drove up and someone was still there. I was even more surprised not to get any attitude or frowns for showing up so late. (True, I was just expecting to drop off my car to be worked on the next day.... which, it was.) It was still nice to see a smiling face. Onto today... They gave me a call to tell me how much it would cost to get a new exhaust. (Told them to 'go ahead'... they were SO well priced!) I also asked them to price out a tune-up for me... they did that as well, no complaints. Picked up my vehicle about an hour ago... It runs so so so well... My hubby even swears it runs quieter then when we first bought the vehicle 2 years ago! We will definitely be bringing our vehicles here for now on! Thank you Muffler Man and thank you to Kenny for such great customer service!

I've been taking both of my vehicles to this Muffler Man for the past several years for oil changes and numerous repair jobs, large and small. Kenny and his mechanics have always done quality work at a fair price. I trust them with any type of work I need done on my vehicles.

We have been going here for years. We trust Kenny to tell us what's going on with our vehicles, how we can save some money, and what we need to replace or have worked on right now, and what can wait a little bit. They do quality work and stand by it. They don't overcharge for labor and don't try to sell things we don't need. They are never pushy at all. I love that they are upfront and honest, qualities that seem to be becoming more rare in general these days.Just save your receipts in your glove compartment or in a folder, because they will honor it but don't keep on file the record of each individual customer's purchases and services.

I have used this muffler man location several times, Kenny has always been pleasant to deal with and the prices are very reasonable. Kenny does a great job of calling and keeping me up to date on where we are with repairs and letting me know the cost before they start.

Charged $90 for parts and labor but failed to perform the correct service. Went in, asked for an exhaust repair involving replacing the bolts and the exhaust flanges, but came out with only some bolts, a dangling cut up old flange, and some red goo to only seal the exhaust leak. Returned to store with complaint about workmanship, asked for an inspection and redo of job, but the owner refused to even check what was wrong and called the police to usher me from premises. Complete and disgusting disregard for customer needs. Totally unprofessional. No attitude was given, but attitude was received from the owner. Accused me of not knowing what I am talking about, and did not even approach me as a customer with a simple complaint. Called police on me to leave. The police, obviously, did not force me leave, and simply worked it out peacefully. I was robbed of the $90 for a grossly botched job, was given attitude, and had the cops called on me for no reason. Will never come back or proceed to further anger the already angry owner. Obviously, he does not care about customer needs. Others may say what their own experience was, but I just want people to know what happened to me. The turnout for each individual will be different, but just letting you all know what could happen to you. If this establishment works for you, great! Good for you! It is hard to find an honest and decent shop, but beware. I am not being sarcastic here. I went to the Muffler Man at 106 E Centre Ave, Portage, MI 49002.

Not even sure where to start with this awfully ran store. Mostly from the owner Kenny. He was initially level-headed before i swiped my credit card to have a job done (Which was done poorly might i add and took few weeks just to have him fix their mistake).He is the stereotypical grumpy old man who thinks he's never wrong. when i came back to complain about a terrible job done, he told me to come back at a certain time which i did, but he decided to say i was lying about said time & literally was raising his voice & yelling at me(seriously, i have audio/video to backup my claim). He's lucky I'm not hungry for attention because i could have easily shared it to my thousands of friends on Facebook/local car groups for everyone to see, which could have impacted his business drastically..All I'm saying is, he should in no way shape or form be doing anything customer service related. Hope you have a better luck than me!EDIT: I guess I'm not the only one. Just read the guy review below me.. He Couldn't be more accurate of how the owner chooses to run his business. VERY disrespectful AFTER you pay. Good luck.

I brought my 1993 Toyota in and my exhaust pupe completely rusted off from my engine and they were able to use the good parts of what was left and replace the rest for a good price. Good service and great repair in a fast time. 5 stars.
