Can't thank these fine individuals enough. After getting the run around by two other shops for months we towed our box truck here for engine service and they had it running again in a matter of days. They were very thorough and did great work for us.Todd the service manager was awesome and though I never spoke with the service tech Zachary I appreciate the solid work he did for us. It's a bit of a drive for us but we'll be back if we need anything else as they local shops we have are nothing but incompetent, wasting both my time and money.

They helped us out immensely after TA screwed up our brake job! They corrected everything and helped us get TA to pay for it! Great managers and associates!

Michigan CAT is very unprofessional and quite frankly not very helpful with information. Honestly, they gave all of the WRONG INFORMATION. We performed an engine replacement on a CAT C7 for a customer. Customer sourced a used motor; where we called CAT to verify they were the same motor or required minor upfitting/converting. We gave CAT BOTH engine serial numbers as they requested. CAT came back and said the engines are not the same, although they will work with minimal modification. Said the ECU calibration would need to be transferred, but thats about it. We asked if we were able to perform the calibration in-house with CAT ET. They said yes, you have all of the proper tools and software; minimal differences outside of ECU calibration. We receive the motor in our shop and start to pull the old one. No more than did the motor arrive and it was clearly different. Come to find out the original engine is a common rail, whereas the new one is HEUI. Turbo is different, exhaust is different, fuel system is different, air intake is different, fuel filter mounting is different; etc. Needless to say it's impossible to hit book time when CAT tells you the engines are the same; when they are clearly different...Finally, after we have double the book time into this unit and more parts than we were informed necessary; we are ready to load the ECU calibration file into the ECU with CAT ET.. Nope, non-dealer CAT ET is not capable. So now that we've been lied to over and over, we are stuck in a position where we have no choice but to have CAT re-calibrate the ECU, as our version won't connect (even though we were told it would). Call CAT and they say it will be $150. They get the ECU re-calibrated and give us an invoice for $195. We complain as that was NOT what was quoted, and their answer was "get bent" politely at first. As we explained our situation and how much money Michigan CAT costed us by providing the complete wrong information, Jack was unwilling to help. Offered to allow me to speak with his boss; which I was looking forward to. I didn't have the opportunity to do so, as his Boss quickly told him to take the $150 as it was a 1 hour job, that they tried billing us extra for as their tech was unable to hit the quoted time. As he continued to tell Jack to take the $150 (while on speaker) he told him to tell us to get bent on the remainder of our complaint; of which, he didn't understand as Jack told him we purchased the motor from Michigan CAT. Clearly that was not factual as they don't do a great job of listening to their customers clearly. While we are appreciate they ended up invoicing us accurately; the fight to be invoiced accurately was completely necessary along with Service Manager telling us to get bent for no reason. It's not like we provided them with completely false information, or performed services unsatisfactorily. We were just attempting to purchase parts and service at the quoted price, after being mis-informed resulting in several thousands of dollars in labor hours being burned/wasted.Clearly Michigan CAT has a monopoly on the area as there is no one else to go to for CAT parts or supports so we will be back to purchase parts; however it would go a long way if they actually treated their customers with respect and honesty. Needless to say, we are prepared for the next dealing with Michigan CAT.

5 star services, 3 star hours of operation... It's great that MiCat has this location running again and growing. The personnel are friendly and helpful during regular office hours. Its ridiculous that the parts department isn't open later in the day and Saturdays.

Worst experience at a cat dealer I ve ever had, told us they would have the loader done with in a week and ended up having it 6 weeks with a different excuse every time. Also when we went to pick the loader up we stood around the facility for a few hours while they couldn t find our account.
