Due to increasing costs of a simple oil change, I found this shop who seemed to have very fair prices. Lesson learned....you get what you pay for. Shortly after an oil change I noticed oil spots in my driveway directly under where my oil filter is. Took a good look under and there was oil covering the filter housing. Took it back to this shop. They put it in the air and then called me into the shop to show me "it is dry, no signs of oil anywhere". I'm 100% sure they wiped it down with brake cleaner before showing it to me as it was spotless. They did another oil change for me and same thing happened again. Went elsewhere for a final oil change and hasn't leaked oil since. Beware of this place!!!

Update 10/18/23 STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Companies that behave this way are the epitome of everything wrong with businesses. Do not be deceived by their "helpful" response. After calling the number it was nothing more than the same game. The representative said there was nothing they would do because it was the Property Damage Claims department's responsibility and they would have them contact me. They contacted me and just said it was denied and would not do anything. So I am still in the same absurd place. I guess it just comes down to legal recourse, which is absolutely ridiculous.10/18/23 On August 4th I had my tires rotated. They managed to cause $4,727 of damage to my vehicle in the process by damaging the wheels with their equipment. After submitting a complaint the manager refused to fix the damage and replace the wheels (which he said he could do if he accepted responsibility) and said he would file a claim with the Property Damage Claims department instead. After two and a half months of waiting, calling, submitting documents, and more waiting they are denying responsibility and not paying for the damages based on their "internal investigation". This is complete nonsense and needs to be rectified immediately. I submitted complaints with the Attorney General and BBB.

This is a car repair shop and I would never expect overtly friendly staff but the woman working the sevice desk was extremely unempathetic and made me feel as if they were inconvenienced by my coming in period because I didn't make an appointment. If I had known my car would suddenly have an emergency malfunction I would have. I was simply asking to drop it off for a day or so. I explained my issue in which she didn't think I was giving a good enough description to and proceeded to make me feel stupid. Still, in desprate need to get this evaluated I excepted it until she told me the cost to look at it. $180 for a diagnostics for a wheel/suspension problem? There is no computer read needed for this. I left and will not return. I have had excellent sevice here before and never would have expected this.

Complete scammers! My teenage son took his car in with an air leak in one of the tires. They told him there was a nail in the sidewall and that he needed a new tire. Further, because it's an AWD they suggested it should be at least 2 tires and it really should be 4. They gave him a price for 2 and 4 tires. He came home and shared his story with his mom and I. As a teaching moment we took the tire off together and found the nail using soapy water. As a double check we submerged the tire in a small pool to make sure there were no other leaks. THE LEAK WASNT IN THE SIDEWALL! It was near the center of the tire. We repaired it ourselves. You can see the excess glue in the picture that the nail was near the center of the tire. I called the manager and she was the most unfriendly, downright mean person I've talked to in a long time. Do not go here unless you want to get scammed!

I had a great experience with the management and the staff here. This is definitely a place I will go back to. I recommend the warranty on the tires. It's great for someone who purchases tires that are more than $200 each because the warranty on 4 tires costs less than 1 tire. Definitely check out the store on Westnedge for great service and knowledge.

This is simply the best and most honest auto repair shop in Portage or Kalamazoo. You can absolutely trust them to diagnose and not oversell. They sell great tires, too. And their rates are competitive. Their work is top notch and I have never been disappointed with their results.

Staff is friendly and knowledgeable while looking out of the customer. Bathroom is nice and clean. Waiting area is a bit dingy..

I can definitely recommend Goodyear to repair a leaky tire FOR FREE!I was under the wrong impression that they only dealt in tires - but they are a full auto service center and my next visit I ll have them fix my AC, replace my starter, and service the breaks.

Best experience ever had at an auto service facility. From the minute I walked in I was treated like a long time preferred customer!Had a small bulge on the sidewall of one of the tires on our travel trailer. It met the criteria for Goodyear warranty (fairly new tires). As soon as I walked in John (service manager) inspected it and started working on it. He along with Matt (store manager) verified the issue and within minutes had a replacement tire mounted and ready to go. They honored the warranty, prorated the cost and charged me accordingly.

I have been a long time customer and always received good service....until recently. They added a road Hazzard fee to my tire purchase without asking me knowing I had always declined it. I also had it in twice for maintenance and they never even checked my air filter which needed replaced. They lost a 20 year customer with these moves!

This is the very worse place in town to have ANYTHING done! Rude before even asking you what you need. I was there to purchase two tires and before I even got out the car a man yelled at me and said NO! I was like why is he yelling at me and second you have NO idea what I want. I politely went across the street and made my purchase. And got an ear full about the service that Goodyear is suppose to provide but turn customers away. I wonder if the owner has any idea that they are Turing customers away. If I could give them zero stars I would.

My sons car started overheating and there was coolant everywhere. Fortunately he was right across from Goodyear. They were able to get it in, order the parts and repaired it quickly and for a reasonable price. As a parent with a son away at college I appreciate the care they took with the car and for the great customer service they gave my son and myself.

This place is not worth wasting your time on. I made an online appointment with them to have a set of 4 new Goodyear tires installed on my Colorado. I made an appointment for 9:30 AM of the next day and then before noon of the day I made the appointment I got a call from them and was told that the truck that would bring my tires would only arrive at noon, so could I come in the afternoon. I said, sure, I'd come at 1 PM. It takes me an hour to drive to Portage. Next day I am on my way to this appointment and at 12:21 I receive a call from them and they don't know if the truck with my tires would be arriving today and now they don't even know when exactly it's going to arrive. Totally unacceptable customer service. Had to look for another place and got a set of Michelin tires for my Colorado I was not actually planning on at a Discount Tire place right across the intersection from this Goodyear place. Wouldn't waste my time on them agan.

Quality work and excellent customer service! I wanted to give a shoutout to the Store Manager Matt D. and Tech Dakota F. for being very kind and helpful. I came in with a flat tire, and they didn t charge me anything. They took great care of my car and got the work done ahead of schedule too. I will definitely recommend this store 100%.

We took our vehicle in to have alternator put in only to find out it was rear wheel berrings. They worked so hard to get the old off, 1 1/2 days, they didn t give up till they fixed it. They are the very best! We will go there always ! Very nice and do excellent work!

Always great service. They had to replace my heater core 3 times, all because of manufacturer defects. They did everything they could to get parts that wouldn't fail again. They worked with class and professionalism through the frustration we all felt in this situation. They are my chosen service center in town.

Great place with outstanding service! Just in for a tire repair this time; however, this is my place of choice for all my tire needs. Of all the tires I bought which is many I have not had one negative issue with them. Always great performance and outstanding service from the shop. I've been a regular tire customer for almost 15 years now and see no reason to go anywhere else.I first came to Goodyear Auto Service in Portage because the other two previous tire stores failed to recognize I'm the customer. They both tried to sell me a tire I didn't want. They would not sell me the tire I wanted and insisted on me buying another tire. I went to Goodyear and they sold me what I wanted. The bonus was the outstanding service time after time. Awesome place!!

Shop there frequently. I had to stop in for an emergency repair to my wife's vehicle and they were booked but insisted us to bring it in and they would try to get to it when they could. Shortly after dropping it off I received a call stating we were all set, I then asked what do I owe you. He said nothing you are all set. Just another reason I would reccomend this shop to everyone quality is not only in the products but the people that work there as well. Thank you!

Great experience. I got four new tires installed in less than two hours! John who was working at the desk was very friendly and trustworthy. This place is a million times better than the scheisters at belle tire or discount tire! Would highly recommend to anyone!

I have had the worst experience with this company, I went there to get my car aligned and after I did that I was constantly having issues. They kept my car for about 4 days then the day I picked it up about half way on my drive home it starts having the same issue after spending 300 dollars. so I took it back there to have them look at it again the guy there argued with me for a long time so long story short I took my car to a dealership and they fixed the problem in a day. the issues they fixed was nothing even close to what good year changed in my car. Had replaced my axel before I went to good year and they replaced it again with a new part, the axel they took out I took it back to the store and they took it back with no issues and it wasn't a faulty part.

Picky . They don't seem like a full service shop, any time I've tried to get an appointment for a moderately difficult repair they beat around the bush with excuses and wont schedule. They will install tires though for twice the price as the next shop. Took an entire day to install my assurance tires last time I came in. I will not be a return customer.

Went in on Father's Day because I had a screw in my tire, was also overdue for a rotate. They patched my tire and rotated them for FREE! All within 1 1/2 hours, which is unheard of on a Sunday. I was able to make it on time to celebrate with my family.I RARELY give 5 star reviews, and they earned all of them today. Thank you and I will be back when i need to replace the tires on my F150.

Went in for a front wheel alignment. Staff is very friendly an explained exactly what needed to be done to my vehicle. Will definitely return if I need more work done.

When a shop around the corner tried to tell me how bad one of my tires was and would not put air in it I went to this shop. I knew my tire was not bad but just low. Goodyear quickly confirmed it just needed a little air and it was not even as low as the other shop said. Thank You guys for being honest and quick to get me on my way. They will get my business from now on.

They did a good job. But my driver side is sounding off and has this strange pulling feeling when I turn left at all. So I am going to have to take it back in there for the 2nd time and have them see what's wrong. But overall I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
