Do not recommend taking your vehicle here. Took my truck in a week ago to get a tire repair and rotation. They said my truck was too wide to fit on the hoist after they tried it. So they could not rotate my tires. No big deal. They said the tire was not fixable due to a nail being to close to the side wall when the nail was 1.5 inches from the side wall. They brought my truck back out to me and said have a nice day. A few days go by I rotate my tires and find my left front wheel hit the hoist arm and damaged the wheel. Still has fresh paint on the wheel from the hoist. They proceeded to cover it up with a black sharpie so at a quick glance you can t really see it. I used to change tires for 7 years. Mistakes happen be an adult and admit it and make it right that s what we always did. Will not recommend and won t be back.

DO NOT get your carwork done at Firestone - but their inspections are good. The salesman was very kind and informative when it came to my car, and was honest with me about what was & was not urgent. The inspection was $10 though and I had to wait an hour even with an appointment. I came in to get my brake light changed, inspect a strange smell, and inspect a grinding sound when turning. The brake light was $17 to replace, they told me the grinding was coming from a part that does not need replacement yet, and they did not quote me on the source of the smell. My total quote was a whopping $3,200. They wrote down EVERYTHING they could find wrong with my car and then some. They recommended I change my engine air filter for $53; I just got this changed four months ago for $20 and this is a part that is typically replaced once a year. So not only were they trying to sell me a part that I didn't need, but they nearly tripled the price. I'm glad that I have this quote so I can keep an eye on these parts, but I'll take my business elsewhere when the time comes to replace them.

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT RESPECT AND EQUITY!I have never been so disrespected. We got yelled at right when we walked in and said they cancelled my appointment (and never informed me). The last time I came, they over charged me.DO NOT GO HERE.

Went there in the middle of the week and asked for a quote to dismount old tires from wheels that are not on a vehicle and mount and balance snow tires I had, They gave me my quote no problem and said feel free to drop them off and they could work them in between jobs as they were loose wheels and tires. Sounds great to me no problem, I wasn't in any rush. Went on a Saturday to drop off, and here's where good ole Mike Watson, Mr. Helpful Manager comes in.No question was asked prior to Saturday when trying to drop off, of the condition of the tires, they are like new Blizzaks I got online with 12/32nd tread left. (They start at 13/32nd), the first condescending thing out of his mouth was "are they used" and I said yes, without any other questions or concerns from him he blurts out "can't mount used tires, company policy". So short, so condescending, unapologetic and he had already at that point dismissed any chance of rectifying the situation or taking it further.Baffled, I stood there a several seconds to gather my words as I was heated at this point by his lack of customer service and his attitude of seeming like he hates being there, hates customers, hates his life and wanted nothing to do with the situation. I said "you should probably have your team communicate that better so as to avoid creating situations like this, as this is now the second time one of your employees tells me one thing or fails to ask one thing and then you're suddenly here to tell me another.". I said to him this will be the last time I do business here. I will advise my closest to avoid Firestone at all costs moving forward.Mikes poor attitude, short and condescending dialogue and complete and utter lack of customer service will cost this location a good deal of business and I will personally never spend another dollar at a Firestone location or buy any Firestone products or services again.

My tire light came on on the highway this Firestone was the closest to me came in on Sunday at 4:15 and Jeremy was able to to repair my tire to get me back to ChicagoGreat Service Much Appreciated

Never come here, you will be disrespected more than you ever have been at any other Firestone. Robbie or Miles or whatever the girl at the counter name was extremely disrespectful. First off, we walk in to be lectured about getting called for an appointment that they never called about. We checked our calls and voicemails and got nothing. Next, we say we have a question and get completely ignored to have them pick up the phone and not even answer our simple question. To then having our phone number read aloud in front of the lobby (violates HIPPA), we then stand there for 15 minutes getting laughed at while she/he tends to another customer and proceeds to run her mouth when we have said no more than 5 words. JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT TO CLOSE EARLY AND YOUR JOB SUCKS AND YOU HAD A BAD DAY, DO NOT TAKE IT OUT ON THE REST OF THE GOOD PEOPLE. I will make sure family, friends, and anybody I run into in this area avoids this firestone at all costs. Good luck staying afloat in this economy with workers like this.

I've been doing business with Firestone since the 80s in multiple cities, and I keep coming back.My last visit to the Firestone in Portage, Michigan was to get a tire repaired that had a screw in it. I was told it would take a couple of hours before they could get to it, so I left the store to run some other errands. Within 30 minutes I received a text telling me it was ready to be picked up.Thanks guys for the great service.

Man working the front counter, Jeremy, gave excellent service. Also these guys are always fairly fast, accurate, polite, and fix things right the first time.

Very dishonest! I spoke over the phone with Mike Watson, the manager of the store and asked if they had DieHard Platinum battery for my Acura and he said yes. But when I got back from the service, I realised they installed a DieHard Gold instead of a Platinum. They also added other services without letting me know. There was a charge of 16.99 for corrosion protection that was not informed prior to service. Despite clearly asking, he lied to me from the beginning and wants me to come back to the store to see what can be done. Firestone used to be better! Not going to Firestone anymore.

We purchased new tires for our van and had an alignment done , we purchased she lifetime alignment check , well worth it , we can get our tires rotated and an alignment if needed , we were in and out , great experience , very helpful and friendly staff

I came in this morning to have 4 tires put on. They had a full house in the shop. I figured it would be at least a few hours, but I was out of there in an hour. Cheapest balance and mounting price I could find. Very friendly and professional. I'll be coming here from now on for my tire needs.3/22/23So back in 2021 I had an alignment done with the new tires I bought. Fast forward about a year, and I'm back at firestone to get my alignment checked because it hasn't felt right for the past few months. It was hard to tell in the summer and fall months. It wasn't until the roads got slick that my car started pulling off to the right extremely hard. So I ultimately decided that it had to be the alignment because my new tires were both worn on the inside. After they checked it, the manager asked me if I'd been hot rodding in my almost 20 year old car. Mind you that I had an entire new front end on it when I took it in for the original alignment, including struts. So he offers no apology, and I now have two fairly new tires that are worthless. It's funny how the second time around, the alignment has held up. That pretty much tells me that they botched my first alignment. I won't ever be back. I'll go to Bell Tire.

So I want to start off by saying I usually get great service and work from this location. Unfortunately this is not one of those times.I brought in my 2011 Subaru Outback for service due to a check engine light on the car. Upon me bringing the vehicle in we had to do a diagnostic, which is fine. From there it was recommended that I do a tune up due to a miss fire on my cylinder 2. I thought it was good idea as my vehicle hadn t had one in a while. The work gets completed with me paying almost $600 for this service. A day later my check engine light comes back on again. I bring it back and they had me run ANOTHER diagnostic which I would have to pay for unless I opened a Firestone card. All I was told is that I need to take it to the dealer. Which I did paying then another $150 just to be told it was the same issue. I brought my vehicle back to Firestone for a resolution and was told to come back AGAIN when a manager was around. I come back 3 days later, which is this morning. We run ANOTHER diagnostics again and for me to be told it needs to go to the dealer.At this point it s been a huge waste of a my time and the fact I was told a tune up would fix my issue in the first place and it hasn t is extremely frustrating . And I m out almost 600 dollars.Unless something is done to compensate me for my time wasted . This will be my last time ever using Firestone services and I will not recommend Firestone to anyone in the future.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I went in to get an inspection. They ran my credit and dropped my credit score without letting me know that s what was happening. Had me give them my social security number. They treat you like a robot and have the highest quotes. The inspection didn t accurately tell me what was wrong either. The obvious problem that I had brought it there for, they overlooked and said they needed to fix some other problem that wasn t that big of a deal and not that hard to fix. These guys working this shop think it s funny to rip people off. They assume that the public don t know anything about cars. Bad place. Thankfully I have fixed the problem for less than a 1/4 the price they quoted me and just have to go back and fix another issue that was my main issue I wanted to fix with the car. Pretty obvious problem that any other mechanic could spot right away. Not sure what these guys are doing there at this Firestone. Wasted my time, cost me more money, dropped my credit score. This place quoted me $1500 less than Bell Tire 1 mile down the road Tyler working here is the MAN! Speak to him to get your car fixed at a reasonable price. I came in a second time and was treated equally as good by Jeremey. These workers are honest reliable and down to earth. Called yesterday for an alignment, was surprised they were open at 7am today and could get me in right away. I showed up at 7:30am and was out before 8. Can't say enough great things about this place. We are new customers but will definitely be back. It's rare in today's world to get a quote but when you get the call to pick up your vehicle, the actual cost is half of the quote!! They could've easily charged the full quotes price but instead chose honesty over money which goes a long way with me!

I ve been here a few times since moving up to the Portage area and have been happy with their service! The manager is very helpful in explaining issues and answering my many questions. His knowledge is great and makes me feel like my car is in good hands. I worked in retail for several years and definitely know how hard it is to keep your cool when you are busy and being yelled at by customers. Stopped in today and they were full of cars and grumpy customers but I was helped out by a very polite tech who didn t make me feel like I was being a burden. Will be stopping in again for future work :)
