Amazing, fast, reliable service. We've been taking our vehicles here for years, both personal and company. They're always prompt and don't try to cheat you out on anything unnecessary by adding frivolous "needed maintenance" like some mechanics do.

This is a family run business that we swear by. We have been coming here since we moved to MI 4 years ago. Honest and fast to get your vehicle in the shop. They are always transparent about what needs to be done and what could be held off for a bit.

I cannot recommend this shop any higher than I already do! When we first moved to the Portage area 3 years ago, we needed a dependable, trustworthy place to take our cars. We got very lucky when we found Andrea and Josh! Communication and diagnostic processes are clear, while lessening the burden of worry. Most shops have had my car for up to a week during repairs, but with Carr Craft, I know I'll get my car back within one to two days! I can only give 5 stars on this review, but really I wanted to give 6!Service: Brakes

Fast and great service! Highly recommend! My stater went out on my car, and I called a few other places that told me they wouldn't be able to see it until 2 week out. I called Carr Craft and spoke with Andrea, who was extremely helpful and sweet. She gave me the number to a towing company they worked with and I got my car in the next day and was back to me within 2 days. If anything goes out on my car again(hoping it doesn't), I know who I will call first.

I've been taking my vehicles to Carr Craft for about 20 years now, and they are amazing. The are friendly, honest, and fix it right the first time every time - anything from general maintenance to major mechanical work. **** BEWARE****After reading all the reviews, thought I was going to be dealing with something different out here in this automotive repair industry and was excited to try out this place. But after my experience just over the phone, the arrogance, and the inpatients of the receptionist and mechanic from me not really being able to explain what's wrong with my car, like they want you to do there job for them, and they really DON'T want to fix your vehicle. Must be friends, family or golf buddies who wrote all their reviews giving them good ratings, keep shopping around folks they are better places out there who will work with you!

We've trusted Jim and Josh (and Andrea!) for over 8 years now. Every one of our vehicles has been serviced by them at some point. Amazing service. Setting up an appointment was quick and easy over the phone and was able to work around my schedule. Went in to have them look at a few things and they went beyond what i asked and let me know of some other things to look out for. Carr Craft is the best. These folks are honest and know what they're doing. They are a stretch from where I live, but I'll drive past other places to take my car here. Maybe you should too. Bring donuts.

This was the first time experience at a local car garage!! I had a problem with my vehicle and it took at six hours worth of work and they managed to fix my car in the allotted time and at the price they quoted me, when I contacted them. Very attentive staff members and company. I definitely would recommend them to anyone seeking repairs to their vehicles!!

These guys ( Jim and Josh) have serviced my parents vehicles for at least 30 years, and have always been honest and dependable in their work. This work has included odd vehicles like Isuzu Troopers, and their multiple through the years Subaru's and BMW'S. Very highly recommended!

I've been to over a dozen places to get my engine light fixed. Almost all of they told me it going to cost me atleast 2 grand to get it fixed after doing text book verification. I heard about this place and decided this would be the last place I go to and to my surprise they found the issue with exhaust valve and fixed it for couple of hundred bucks. I am pretty sure these guys go beyond using manuals for inspection and use their skill and experience to fix cars. This is the place I'll be going every time.

May not be the cheapest, but if you want it done correctly the first time, for a fair price, look no further. I would recommend Carr Craft every time, except maybe for an oil change ( You don't hire Michaelangelo to paint your living room) Yes, they are that good.

I dealt almost exclusively with Jim both times I was here. He was very professional and understanding while delivering some pretty bad news. The price was more than fair for what was done, and they gave me a bunch of advice for how to fix my issues without spending too much.
