Beautiful public beach with boardwalk. This area has workout equipment and a park for kiddos as well. Kayaks are on the beach that can be rented. Beach is clean and well maintained.

Absolutely love this spot. Super clean and fresh facilities, super close to the downtown shops/restaurants, beach, etc. We walked the pier and took in all the scenery. The views of the lake were stunning! On the other side of the river is another park that also has a separate facility w/ a playground for the kids which is great. A definite must stop for photos and a nice walk on the water!

Very nice area to stop off and visit or make a day of it and hang out on the beach and catch some sun and relax with the family. Nice water walkway to walk and enjoy the scenery of the lake, opportunities for boating/ canoeing / kayaking and for fishing!

Great location to watch beautiful sunsets. Be sure to walk the pier all the way to the end, the views are amazing.! Beach, marina, pier, and bathrooms were all extremely clean. Be sure to watch out for the fish flies at night though.

Good place to visit on 4th. Was disappointed that pets aren t allowed.Stayed there for the evening to watch fireworks. 20 minutes of entertainment.

We haven't been to Port Austin in 4 years. The harbor used to be amazing, sad to see half the docks gone.The staff looked to be overwhelmed, possibly not enough people working that day or not enough training. They were very polite and helpful but definitely overwhelmed.Port Austin has some great places to eat, and the bakery is outstanding.

A beautiful place. Lake Huron touches and you can walk one mile into the lake on the boardwalk. Great day for the kids.

Clean, wide and a very enjoyable walk. Safe for families and elder adults. Walk to the end is roughly .30 of a mile. By far the best view of the Tip of the Thumb! Beautiful sunsets with a sunning light house out in the distances in the water. Usually no crowds which makes it a plus. Downtown is a 1/2 mile walk away with various food options. So much history on Lake Huron... Definitely a place to see while in Michigan.
