Great, professional service. Great communication. Used them a few times and have been impressed with quality of work both times. Mark at the front desk is always helpful and goes out of his way to make sure you are taken care of. Very convenient having rental cars on site as well.

Scheduled appointment to get estimate for insurance to fix car after an accident. They (Gerber) acted surprised that the car was dropped off, despite the appointment. They asked us to bring it back in a few months, when they'd be able to do the repairs. The car is not drivable currently, it has a damaged front rim and no tire as a result of the accident! Our insurance claim is pending for the estimate and Gerber is listed as the repair location for the claim, so this should not be so confusing for them. They gave us the date of the estimate appointment! We have to call them for any updates and to remind them that they had agreed to the estimate appointment. We are trying to find another repair shop, but we will need to pay for another tow, as again, the car is not drivable!!!!Don't waste your time, patience and money at this Gerber location.Service: Body & Trim

I had an appointment for a repair after being T-boned, and after speaking to someone about the timeline, they said it would be 3 months before they could even take my vehicle (estimate in June and wouldn't be able to get an appointment until September). I went to a dealership collision center that my insurance covered instead so that I could get in sooner.

An online request with photos was sent to Gerber Collision in Plainwell, Michigan. We then notified them on August 27, of intent to have them repair our Dodge Caravan, scraped and dented passenger back door and panel. The insurance company almost immediately notified us that It was approved. SEVEN weeks later, on October 21, Gerber finally notified us to bring the van in. About a week later they told us that they found further damage and had to wait for insurance approval. In total, they had the van for nearly EIGHT weeks, finally getting it back on December 12. Meanwhile, their repeated phone calls to us did not give us any good reason why it was taking so long, seemingly always trying to blame the insurance company for holding things up. That didn't seem right to us since we talked to the insurance company claims division. Unbeknownst to Gerber was that my wife had retired from that insurance company and knew a little more about such things than the average person. In addition, when Gerber told us that they found additional damage, they said it was for another $1,400.00 in damages. The final billing however totaled $2,701.00 more than the original estimate. Overall, things don't add up. We are pleased so far with Gerber's work, but highly displeased with their performance, taking four months.

Firstly, I d like to say that I m not your typical Karen. I m not one to complain. I walked in to this establishment while there was NOBODY else in there to inquire on the process of fixing my van that had just gotten into a collision the day before. There were two people working the front desk. The lady was the one of the rudest people I ve ever encountered in customer service. I m assuming she s either worked there for forever and they just won t fire her, she s new and they re desperate for workers, or the slight chance she was having a bad day, but she was absolutely horrible. I, also, had my 5 yr old who was very well behaved not saying a word, and when we left he asked why that lady was so grumpy. The only redemption was the gentleman working alongside her. He must have to clean up her messes frequently, because he stepped right in to explain the process to me. While I appreciate him, I m doing my best to spread the word that I d take my business elsewhere, and I am.

I don't know that I have ever had the displeasure of working with a more unprofessional company. They currently have me driving a Ford Escape with all warning lights on and the brakes are metal on metal. When I called and asked if they were aware they basically blew me off saying that they may have a glaze from sitting. I drive 30 minutes to work one way. Would they have their Mother driving a car of such disrepair? This is after having my Santa Fe sport for literally 3 months and returned it missing parts and not functioning properly.I will never use them again and am amazed that they would return my car to me in this state.Then put me in a clearly unreliable vehicle.

I referred here by Brock Towing for a windshield replacement on a car that I had bought. Dave did a great job, and even with having an location change on the morning of the installation.I would highly recommend this group!

I went in there at the end of August 2021 for an estimate. I will never go there for body work for the simple fact is I specifically told the estimator will call him more than three times what damages had occurred to my vehicle and what I needed an estimate on. He then walked around my vehicle a few times and said he would email me my estimate when I received the email it was obvious he did not listen to anything I said at all. Having two different claims the estimate was missing damages for one of the first claims completely disregarded my second claim I don't think they have it all together there.

Hit a 6 point with my fusion brought it to gerber and they sent my car back without an alignment and then removed the protective cover underneath my car and never put it back, now snow is packing up underneath my car and it ruined my 02 sensor that I now have to pay for to be replaced as well as a new protective cover since they NEVER GAVE IT BACK. This place has caused the biggest headache and has been the worst experience wish I went just somewhere else. How can you send a car back to someone like that? Dealing with them was worse then hitting the 6 point deer.Service: Body & Trim

Wish there was a negative rate option.They broke the valve stem in my tire. When I arrived to pick up my car, the tire was completely flat. I had to bring it to their attention. They tried implying that my tires must be worn but I informed them they were all less than 6 months old. They had broke the valve stem...They fixed it, I got in and my tire pressure warning light was on and also my tire maintenance warning was dinging and displayed across the dash screen. They assured me it would shut off as I drove away and it's still on (this occurred on October 17, 2017). I've had to pay to take my vehicle to two different shops since then to have the sensor and warning turned off for my tire valve and it keeps coming back on! I also had them call my insurance company IN FRONT of me to confirm my deductible (since I waited over an hour for the air valve to get fixed) the deductible was confirmed, and now they are saying I owe an additional $500. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL . I've never had issues like this with any other company. I will NEVER have work done here again.

Lady at the front desk is very rude, my girlfriends car has been sitting in the parking lot for almost a month now she s been told 3 different estimate times of when the car will be worked on and still getting no were. They did not fix our car after an accident, as promised. We had a working car before we took it in to them, and within 10 hours of picking it up, we had all kinds of problems. We were actually stranded because they didn t fix it correctly. When my husband called to discuss their lack of work, they hung up on him. Our insurance company also had problems when they tried to address the issue with them.Please save yourself many headaches and DO NOT use Gerber in Plainwell.

Brought my car in before going on vacation for a week and was told it would be done when i got back, they called during my trip and said something broke so they had to order the part and my car wouldn t be done until a day after i got back... annoying, so i called a day before i was leaving and they said the part was in so they d have it done the day i got back, today i m back and they don t have it ready. SO ANNOYING the part has been there for two days now, it should have been done by the time i was back like planned! Now i don t have a car to drive to work tomorrow. Super irritating.

Go to Safelite for glass. Don't waste your time. Right on the front of the building it says they do windshield repair and replacement. They don't. I went inside for a quote and I was told they don't do windshield repair or replacement there. Confused, I was given a number for a different company in grand rapids. If you need window work, go to Safelite in Kalamazoo. Much closer, very nice people, very decent prices.

Wow do these guys do great work. The quality is second to none. This will be the only places we take our cars for painting and body work. Everybody is really down to earth and they do their best to do great work at an affordable price.

Ok place to have work done on your vehicle there quick but have noticed they don't do everything they put on estimate to be done as per say. There is nothing that I'd like to discuss right now just wanted to let it be known.
