Absolutely horrible, do NOT recommend. I called to schedule an appointment to get my tires changed. I showed up at 7 am at the appointment time and waited for 25 minutes for someone to show up and unlock the door. The woman helping me had an attitude from the start. I waited 10 more minutes while she talked to another worker for her to come out and ask me if I wanted to keep my tires or dispose of them. Next she informed me that they don t actually have my tires in stock. I wasted an entire morning waiting for them to show up to their job on time then just to get sent back home without getting the help I needed. Go pay higher prices elsewhere, it s clearly worth it.

Wish I could give zero stars. Ordered tires online and they ended up being the wrong size. Went back and forth between customer service desk and auto center with the tires trying to get a refund. Eventually they said the order was cancelled and I would be refunded. NOPE. When I called I was told I needed to return the tires to get a refund (even though I never took the tires) Took numerous phone calls to customer service and weeks to finally get a refund. I don t understand why it was so difficult or why I couldn t just switch them for the correct size.

I had to purchase a used car after my vehicle was totaled. Petoskey MI Walmart Auto Care Center got me an appointment the same day one of my tires blew on me and advised me that although the tread looked good the tires on this vehicle, they had dry rot. I had two replaced when I had the emergency but when I wanted to get the other two replaced I found out they were no longer available. Emily @ the Petoskey Auto Care Center went above and beyond to find tires for me. I love our community and the way we all take care of each other. Emily is a great example of that! Kudos - and very much appreciated.

I've used this service before for basic services such as oil changes. Called to get prices on tires and was informed they didn't carry anything in store. Everything would have to be special ordered which is pretty common for my vehicle. The confusing part was that they couldn't order the exact tires that I saw on the Walmart website. The ones I found on their website for $100/tire whereas if the shop ordered tires they would have been $190/tire. Doesn't quite make sense to me, but they were friendly and upfront about ordering online then having the tires shipped to the store.

Bought a full set of wheels with lifetime balancing and rotation back in November. The wheels were balanced wrong and were causing wobbling going down the road, I brought it back to have the balancing done again (which took over 2 months since they said they were busy and won't schedule an appointment for tire rotations) and the wobble was much worse. Went back the next day to have it done a third time, and although much better, there was and still is a bit of wobble. Had my brakes checked out too just in case it was warped rotors, but the mechanic said my brakes are fine. Just gonna have the balancing and rotation done somewhere else from now on. Buying your cheap tires from Walmart isn't a bad idea, but don't let them work on your car.Services: Tires, Tire rotations, Wheel alignment

This place is a joke. The people there literally will stand by the phone while it's ringing and laugh about how long it will take until someone hangs up.They scheduled me for service @ 1pm. I came in to a completely empty shop. Found someone on the retail floor, they let me know that the tire center goes on lunch 1 - 1:30.Then after lunch of course all there staff is incompetent and didn't hold the tires I was scheduled to have installed. So they wanted me to wait 3-6 weeks for tire delivery. You can attempt to call here but be prepared to go in in person to see the ignorance first hand...than be prepared to sold the wrong thing or told the wrong thing by one of the completely out of touch " mechanics" that obviously dont like working for Walmart

I recently purchased 2 new tires from Walmart in Petoskey. I purchased the extended warranty. While having a ball joint put on later at an auto shop, the mechanic pointed out I had a piece of metal in my tire. To tow it back to Walmart would have been $100, so I had them patch it so I could drive it out. When I tried to use my warranty, Walmart claimed I voided the warranty by having it patched. Why not tell me that at the time of the purchase, when I specifically asked the details. The rep said for ANY REASON!! So I would have to pay $100 tow fee to get a $100 tire?? What a scam!! Plus they called me while my car was there and said they couldn't get the tires off, even though I had them off the day before replacing my struts. I had to have them pull it to the parking lot and remove the lug nuts myself, which took me 5 minutes with a lug wrench, and they couldn't do it with a impact wrench! These people are shady. I would not recommend taking your vehicle there. They don't care about customer satisfaction...only profits!Service: Tires

I arrived at the Tire Center at noon, I was told it would take 1-2 hours to replace my 4 tires. I had to work at 4 so I figured that would be plenty of time so I gave them the go ahead to work on my car. I didn t get my car back until 3:30. The older gentleman was extremely friendly and was telling the other employees to finish up. He s the only reason I m giving this transaction anything higher than 1 Star. A woman that was there for an oil change waited over 2 hours.... I know they don t allow appointments, but maybe they should.

I called to schedule an appointment to get a flat tire patched at 2pm, told me they had appointments for 3 and 4 but come at 5 pm and they d do it in 20 minutes. I showed up at 4:55p and was told they can no longer take me because they re full for the day. I was told that it was first come first serve and they just had a 4 tire job pull in before me. That was not communicated on the phone and I drove out of my way to come out for this. Clearly they went for the larger money grab and blew off my appointment

Although they may have low prices, sometimes it's just not worth it. The staff was friendly and helpful but just to change out my tires took almost 3 hours! One might think they were busy but when i arrived there were over 5 guys walking around, talking, laughing, not seeming to be working at all. They are supposed to call your name over the intercom to let you know when your vehicle is ready but that was never done for me. Luckily I went to check on my vehicle and it had been done for over 15 minutes and they were about to close. I cant help but wonder what would've happened if I hadn't checked in, would they have locked up & left for the night with my kids & I stranded? Maybe I just caught them on a bad day but I will most certainly think twice before visiting again.

Starts with the consistently surly and inattentive counter service. Ends with the inconsistent policies. I dropped by to see whether they could fit me in to install winter tires. My winter tires are 45 series sidewalls instead of 40 series sidewalls, but are 10mm narrower to account for the taller sidewall. The service manager with the attitude did some quick math on his calculator or phone while the snow was blowing and told me he couldn't mount them due to circumference difference of 6% (which is completely false). Mind you - these are the very same tires they installed last winter. I wish Wal-Mart told me they didn't want my money, but hopefully I can save others the waste of time.

Bought brand new tires and rims for my truck and they were the only place that had time to put them on. I went in and waited my hour in line since there were cars ahead of mine, but it still took them almost two hours just to switch out my new tires for the old ones. As soon as I left the parking lot my truck began to wobble and shake. Took it back immediately and they said the tires just needed balanced. Took them another two hours to do that and had no cars ahead of me.Wobble was still happening and the assistant manager said that they just did what they asked me to do and it wasn t their fault.Today I took it to another auto shop and they told me and showed me that my tires werent even put on correctly and that they were barely touching my hub caps like they were supposed to and that I was lucky nothing broke. They let me leave and never told me anything and just said it wasn t their fault.A previous time I just had them put a spare on for me and they didn t even tighten the lug nuts all the way. Went to take a road trip and thought my tire was going to fall off. Both times they let me drive away in extremely dangerous conditions without any warning or care in the world. Walmart Auto Center Of Petoskey is useless and should not be working on people s vehciles. I can only imagine how many other people they have put in danger like me.

The people at this Wal-Mart tire place were super nice, but they did super awful work. I had to buy tires here when I was on vacation. The experience dealing with them was great. They were friendly and helpful. The problem was that the work they did was absolutely terrible. The first problem was that the next day the TPMS warning triggered saying there was low pressure. Sure enough, they had inflated one of the rear tires 20 lbs below where it was supposed to be. Even though I brought it back to the right pressure the TPMS had be fixed by another tire place, it never reset properly. When I went to inflate the tire I noticed that they had broken all but one of the clips that held the hubcap on and and then wedged the hubcap back in the wheel. It wasn't fixable (the clips were snapped off) and a few miles down the road the hubcap disappeared. Both of those things were annoying, but the worst part was that the van vibrated like crazy and the steering wheel kicked at speeds over 60. I finally went to another tire place where they discovered, and showed me, that 3 of the 4 tires were faulty, they were actually unbalanced and oval instead of round, and there was no way to fix them. They showed me how each tire was out shape and incorrect. I had to replace all four of them and then go through the hassle of trying to deal with 4 brand new, but faulty tires! Nice people, but really, really terrible skill and flat dishonest in terms of mounting crappy tires they knew were bad and busting the hubcap and not admitting it. I wouldn't buy anything from them. Go someplace else.

I showed up at 3:30pm on a Thursday to have tires installed, as ordered. I was told that they didn't have enough time, to come back first thing in the morning. Department closes at 7pm, that leaves 3 1/2 hours. Everybody was sitting or standing around, except on guy. I also see what another poster means about surly and inattentive counter service.

I waited two hours for a 45 minute job. The tech who took my information didn t tell the guys doing the job whose name the tires where under. Instead of phoning me over the PA system, they were searching around. The only difference in the names was the first names! It was under my husbands name! The tech who helped me at first, was rude! One guy was there putting the tires one while the other guy was staring at me people through the window! Really!!! Ugh. Next time, I ll get the tires and take my business someplace else!!!

I m assuming they re good for tire changes but not oil changes. Inattentive service. I was told it would be an hour to an hour and a half, it was about two and a half hours to get an oil change. Everybody seemed pretty nice, but I highly recommend avoiding this place for oil changes.

Tried 3 year's in a row (6 times total) to get my in store tires rotated and balanced, per promised with the purchase, Never could get in because the ONLY appointment's we're for new tires, I even went there Before they were open (trying to be the first one), and they had tire appointment scheduled, so TECHNICALLY your tire mile warranty WILL be voided because you FAILED to have them rotated.Service: Tire rotations

I wish I could rate this place in the negatives. I called at 8 a.m to make an appointment.. was told they don't do appointments and to just show up. So I showed up not even 20 minutes after I called and checked my car in. It's now 10:19 a.m and they haven't even touched my car yet. I watched two cars that came here after get done already. I'm done with this place. WALMART, YOU NEVER CEASE TO DISAPPOINT. Piece of s**t establishment.

Very rude and unprofessional. Had four new tires put on and I ran over a nail they refused to repair it even though it was on the tread and told me I need to replace it, then went further and told me I have to either buy two tires or four. Needless to say their a joke and refused to do a repair on my tire because they wouldn't make much money .. I'll drive to traverse to discount tire for now on. And discount patched my tire

The service desk guy who looks like Tommy Chong is very misinformed. He runs it like it is his private backyard mechanic shop. I will not be back...at least at the Petoskey Auto...I'll leave this review at that and refrain from the obscenities I feel like using after SEVERAL terrible visits here!
