These guys did a great job, and have an actual mechanic here (highly recommend ensuring your tire store has one).The rims on our jeep have deep 1/2 spline lugs, and trying to do a quick change out we made the mistake of making an appt at the chain B tire , they broke a lug off in there (offered to melt it off with acid, bizarre). So thinking it was hopeless as the lug was completely chewed up, i ordered a new rim but took my business to Royal.The legends there saved my rim (when I didn t even ask them to try to save it at that point), took care of everything in a timely manner, and have an actual mechanic; what more can you ask for these days.Highly recommend if you want competence, price was also actually better here, would return for life if we were permanently in the area.

Had an experience similar to Peter Schiling. Had low pressure light come on. Stopped twice to fill and it was still on. Royal explained what was likely happening with the sensors and fixed it and aired up with no charge. Great professional service. Great job. I would recommend them to those in the Petoskey.

I first want to say all who works here is extremely friendly and helpful. Eric is exceptional in his communication with what repairs and services were needed and why. The best part about Royal Tires is I trust their services. It s so hard to find a good honest mechanic business. 10/10 recommend Royal Tires.

It is always a pleasure to have service provided at Royal Tire! Today I visited after having tire pressure warning lights going on 3 times over past few months. Today I decided to go to Royal as I wanted to get this resolved. They were fantastic! I felt so welcomed! Such great customer service all the way around! There was a nail slanting into steel belt which Eric showed me. There was also wear starting to show which was thoroughly shown and explained. They would have replaced the one tire with used tire with similar tread. It was suggested due to wear on tires, prior to winter to have them replaced. (I have over 50,000 miles on my 2018 Subaru). I opted to get all replaced.I feel this all was meant to happen as I feel secure now and then will in the upcoming winter months. Thank you Royal!

Very rude this morning. I went into ask them if they could get me in around 11am. As I was on. A time crunch today and had to run to the bank and then come back to petoskey. He very rudly said it s first come first serve and then proceeded to say if I can even fit u in. So we went to richards tire where they helped us out

Called and got in for a front end alignment first thing next morning, got the job done quickly and got me set up with a couple used tires, all for a Fair price.I'm pleased with the service and would recommend them to anyone in the area needing tires or an alignment.

Stopped in when air pressure light came on during a multi-state road trip. Thry examined tires for leaks, filled them, gave us the a-ok at no charge. Super friendly wish we were in Petoskey when we need new tires!

Exceptional service and integrity. I needed two trailer tires, and a valve stem replaced on my truck tire which had blown out/had a flat. I called Belle tire and Royal tire; Royal was $4/more per tire but I chose them because of the positive atmosphere and while you wait service. Dropped off the tires and when I came back they informed me the truck tire was shredded on the inside and would probably have not made it much further. But he said he had good news - he had the same tire used and he had put it on for no charge! I feel most tire shops would have tried to sell me new tires. Honesty and having someone I can trust to consider my interests is worth a few extra dollars to me I will be back.

I have had brake work and an oil change with tire rotation completed here on my 2013 Honda. These guys are great and I will continue bringing my vehicles here. They are always polite and to the point, which I appreciate.I am not completely ignorant about cars and have had other places put stuff on my bill I did not ask for. (Ladies, always check and ask questions). Also, other places have tried to sell me stuff I did not need to make more commission. At Royal, they are to the point and don't load a bunch of BS on.I highly recommend them from the experiences I have had, and will continue bringing my vehicles here.

If you HAVE TIRES do NOT bring them here for they will not Service you, unless they sold them to you. Wasted gas driving 25 mins to this specific tire place and was turned away. New tires are 200$ EACH, that they need to order, make you wait, then tell you, your tires need changing after 5k miles. After doing business with them previously, figured we re good for future business. Guess not. I love my mopar. And would not do business with ANY tire company that forces you to BUY THEIR tires. (That they don t have in stock) 275/40/20 s must be a popular tire size to never have in stock. But just a heads up for anyone the area and did NOT buy tires from them. Don t waste your time. Take it to Lakeshore tire in Charlevoix. Worth the drive. In and out. Only charged me 30$ to put 2 new tires on. Great business. Quick. Easy. Wish royal tire the best. Times are changing. If I can get new tires cheaper somewhere else why come here lol. Big Hellcat I m looking for 305 s but we won t get started on that hahahahaha

My tire blew and I barely made it into the parking lot to have them look at it. It was a five minutes before close on a Saturday, and not only did they put a used tire on at a very good price for me to replace the busted one, they stayed past closing to fix it for me. Highly recommend!

I have been looking for an old (1964) rim for ages. Duane searched, measured and gave me some ideas since they didn't have it. I looked nationwide and on many websites. I finally found it! Eric took my own tire and rim and mounted/balanced it. He didn't charge me one dime for everything they did for me. Shopping local is the way to go! Thank you Royal Tire!

I honestly can t say enough good about the guys here at Royal Tire. I had priced shopped tires (like everyone does) and had only gotten prices on two different specific tires from both Royal and Bell. Bell mentioned a different tire that I hadn t any knowledge of and I decided to just go that route.After dropping off my truck, that is only two years old with low miles, Bell informed me that I need an alignment. I told them no thank you, it drove just fine on the way in. After picking it up and driving it home it nearly scared the death out of me. At the push of my better half, I called Royal and they said they could check it out in the morning. So I dropped it off and waited for their call. Royal got back to me first thing the next morning and informed me that I didn t need an alignment at all, my NEW tires hadn t been balanced and actually weren t even round! Who knew that was a thing?! They explained how the balancing worked, the machine, the weights, etc. explained that the tires were under the manufacture warranty and that they could take care of this for me! Wow! Incredible service! Royal Tire has made me a loyal customer for life! What a bunch of incredible guys down there!

What great service! I spoke with Eric and he asked me to come in to make sure they had the right tires since I didn t know the exact size. He came outside and looked at the tires and said they could help me. I figured since it was snow tire season it would take a day to get them done. I was pleasantly surprised to have a call back 2 hours later! New tires, fixed valve stem, and an alignment at a great price. Thank you Royal tire and the Friske family for fast, friendly service. Thank you for your fast, friendly service over the weekend! My husband and I had a tire blow out on our camper Thursday driving up to Petoskey State Park. Little did we know all of the camper tires needed to be replaced. They had all 4 tires mounted and balanced on our rims in less than 15 minutes. The pricing was very reasonable as well. I would highly recommend!

Awesome people, great service, and lots of options. They are pretty quick and very trustworthy. Never had a bill where I felt they "gouged" me. They usually have good used tires for a good price as well.

Great experience ! 2005 VW. Had trouble finding a part, Eric worked with me and had it fixed up in no time. Also had them swap my summer and winter tires. Great to work with. Nice guys. Thanks for getting me in.

This was my first time using them. I needed a wheel bearing replaced. The staff was very helpful, had the problem figured out less than 15 minutes after dropping my car off and had the repair done in less than an hour. The prices seemed very reasonable. I would use them again.

I had Royal install a trailer hitch on my SUV and they were very attentive. I arrived early and one of their techs got the job done ahead of schedule. The overall experience was very good and I would use them again.

October 19,2022. Exellent Service + politeness by the Staff at Royal Tire Petoskey, Michigan. My wife & I seen Eric ( I believe a Manager ), having resolve with a Rude customer. My family will ALWAYS do business there.

Excellent customer service, excellent speed, fair prices. Only place I will go anymore in Petoskey for tire/brake work. They also replaced and reprogrammed a key fob for me for 1/3 of the price the Subaru dealership was asking. All around excellent shop for minor work.

We stopped by due to a bulge on a tire that we noticed while driving through Petoskey. They were super helpful and replaced the tire with a comparable one, and moved one tire from the back to the front so that both front tires match for our front wheel drive. This was done within 90 minutes of us stopping by. They were super friendly and helpful.

I went in after a local shop gave me an outrageous price for just a wheel bearing. Told them what was going on and they said they will look over my entire car. Came back out and said no way. 1 wheel bearing is bad but nothing else. I was shocked but happy. So they replaced it and did an oil change.While waiting I had a VERY BUSY 1 year old with and EVER person in that building had so much patience and was just absolutely wonderful to my son and I.An employee even asked me if it was OK if he walked next door to Arby's and got my son a cookie. I'm just blown away with how wonderful every employee was, how honest they were and price was great!Thank you so much Royal Tire. I will never go any where else from now on

I went in yesterday to ask if they were hiring and that I wanted to fill out an app. So the guy gave me an app it was one piece of paper with a clip board. I sat in my vehicle & filled it out. Went back in said & Eric the owner wanted to talk to me in his office. So I came in sat down. He went over my app & started asking me questions about job history & what Qualifications do I have & what not. Then he starts talking about the job & what a type day is like. Then he says that he has a few other Applicants & that I should go to PMP & go through them to get hired in! I was blew away! This guy literally wasted my time sitting me down in his office to tell me they won t hire me. That place is a joke.

On the way up to Nubs Nob, I experienced some snowy conditions on I75 and my car was all over the place. No grip on the snowy and slushy tarmac, and the car was sliding all over the place. I am a automotive mechanic, So I figured perhaps the alignment needed to be checked and adjusted because I just put new tires on before leaving for Petoskey. And they are some yokohama all season tires that should be able to have decent stability in light snow. But these new tires felt like utter garbage on the road. So I called Royal Tire and they got me scheduled very quickly to bring in my explorer to have the alignment done. And wowwww the alignment was so bad on the explorer, the fronts were in a toe out condition and the measurements were way off the target zones. So the guys at Royal tire were able to adjust all wheels and made this explorer drive like a champ again!! Thank you so much for the quick and high quality service, as well as top notch customer service. I enjoyed talking to you guys about cars and I highly recommend Royal tire for great automotive repair and tire purchases !! If I lived near Petoskey I would be a regular at Royal tire for such things as alignments that I do not have the equipment to perform on my own. Thank you guys for the awesome experience!!
