Quaint collection of cottages right on Lake Superior. It's run by a great couple who live there and have been running it for 32 years. Our cabin was clean and comfortable. No cable so bring DVDs. The beach was right outside our cabin and had chairs and a fire pit. When reserving, the owners are old school so you will have to mail a check to reserve and pay.

My wife and I stayed in one of their cabins in June 2018 for a partial duration of our honeymoon. We were not disappointed whatsoever. Lovely cabin, beautiful views from the water, and very close to town, and the restaurants offered in Paradise itself.Only complaint we had was out of their control: mosquitoes. Ugh.Other than that, highly recommend their lodging.

Weird we were charged our credit card for first night and second when we arrived. If you cancel you forfeit the first night charge. When we arrived, owners were friendly, grounds were rustic and peaceful. Once in room, it smelled really musty, bed linens and towels too. Was not told there wasn t no a/c or fans, but owner did dig one up for us after we went and bought one. The water smelled, due to well. Shower was horrible, hardly no water pressure and if your short, give it up, water won t reach you. There is no cleaning service, you have to go to office and swap out dirty for clean. The good thing was, it was peaceful, but definitely not cloud nine. Oh and Paradise, was no paradise.

We've been going to Cloud Nine since 1993. We have stayed there at least 30+ times.....NEVER a bad experience. Jim & Eve are the consummate hosts, attending to your every need. And the cabins.... we have stayed in them all, and they are all REMARKABLY clean, and the mattresses are top quality, not the usual cheap motel kind. The grounds are impeccably maintained, and it is very quiet. This place feels more like home than a resort, and it is obvious that the owners take immense pride in their operation. We will return again & again!Mark, Cheri & Kayla Sondey

5 starts for everything, except what they can't control. My boyfriend and I stayed there for 3 nights to see the colors and to get away from it all.We stayed in cabin #1. Their smallest cabin. The cabin was spotless and so was the grounds. Owners were so friendly and didn't bother us a bit.Our problem was night time. My boyfriend and I are both skeptical on anything paranormal, but staying there changed our minds .Every night we heard sounds, like knocking, things moving, and creaks in the attic like something was up there . Before bed the second night I noticed blood on one pillow case . I'm terrified of bedbugs so I checked every knook and cranny the first night, and would have noticed it.The last night was miserable, more sounds, things moving and I heard someone talking to me in the middle of the night but I had earplugs on and it was muffled . We woke up that morning after very little sleep and found a giant puddle of dried blood on the sheets. We sleep with light colored bedding at home and would notice if that was a usual thing. We personally will never be back, but if you love spooky places it's perfect .

Sheets and towels smell heavily of cigarette smoke. We reserved a cabin less then 1 week prior to the arrival date for 2 nights in which case on our way to Paradise we learned of a death in the family and had to get home after 1 night. Jim stated that if he knew we were only staying 1 night he would not have rented to us. (REALLY, we just told you we had a death in our family) My husband explained to Jim that a death is not something we can control! Jim still fully charged our credit card for the 2 full nights. He stated that he had many calls, and he could of rented that cabin, meanwhile there were 2 other cabins that where not being rented at this time. I can tell you that we will NOT stay here again. Some people do not have a heart! We believe that he thought we were lying to him, who in the world would lie about a family member dying?

Stayed there for 2 nights (Fri/Sat) a few years ago during snowmobile season. The way Jim handles business is rather strange. Had to pay for the first night in order to book and we were charged for the second night immediately upon arrival. Most hosts are a little more relaxed than that. Cabins were alright, dirtier than most I have stayed at, but livable. Paradise has plenty of better places to stay. We stayed near the end of snowmobile season, riding conditions over the weekend weren't the greatest. Sunday morning we woke up to warm temps and rain, decided not to ride, made a big breakfast and lounged around the cabin. At 10:05am Jim was banging on the door asking why we had not left yet as checkout is at 10:00. (My fault for assuming it was 11 and not noticing where he had it posted in the cabin.) I asked if it would be ok if we stayed another hour or two, to which Jim replied "NO!! We've got to get this place cleaned up so we can get it rented!" Note that we were the only people staying that weekend, all other cabins were vacant. I'm not sure who Jim thought was going to swing in and book a cabin on a rainy Sunday at the end of snowmobile season, but I know who won't be swinging in :-) We promptly loaded the trailer and will never stay there again.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the doll house while visiting Taquamenon Falls and Whitefish Point. It was perfect. Jim and Eve are lovely hosts. We even rented movies from their collection. Can't wait to make the drive again. Its our new home away from home in the U.P.

Called to inquire about a cabin for the weekend. Asked if they have an option for 6 people in a cabin in which they responded with can t help you no sorry or apology included. rude tone of voice don t bother calling if you need a cabin for more than 4 people.
