Sovels is one of the best companies out there! My family was referred by a friend, many years ago, and this is the only trusted place we go to. Their team is very responsive, helpful and walks you through everything over the phone. They always call you with their diagnosis before they begin any work, which is fantastic. I wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else.

When it comes to mechanics I always had bad experiences but... this place is really what people describe in the reviews, they are friendly, quick and prices are reasonable. My car got fixed and will certainly come back if something else happens. Thank you team at Sovel's, keep the great work!

Fast courteous service. Have taken a few of our cars there over the years and the service has always been top level. And best of all they don t suggest unnecessary repairs to take advantage of people.Highly recommended.

Outstanding once again. Great communication. Great follow up. Honest pricing without the upselling unless it is required. I moved away from Novi but after a couple bad experiences at shops near my new home, I drive the extra 25 minutes to Sovel's Auto Repair Novi.

I went to Sovel's for an oil change after being told by so many people to go there because they excel in customer service. Boy were they right! I took my car in, (greeted right away by a nice man at the front counter), at 7:30am and they were done by 7:50am. I told work I would be late but actually arrived right on time. They were also VERY affordable compared to the dealership prices. I will be going to Sovel's moving forward and not the dealership! Thank you Sovel's! Had one of my vehicles maintained and repaired by Sovels today. The repair solved the issue and the significant engine maintenance (timing belt) was done without creating any new issues (so far so good). I appreciated that the final bill was lower than originally quoted. This is the only shop that I trust in the area. Got my car inspected by them and they were very honest about the repairs needed. Ended up not going through with the repairs and decided to get into something new instead but they didn t charge me an inspection fee which was very kind of them and unexpected. Will always point my friends/family to this shop if they need work done.

Very courteous and timely mechanic shop. Was referred here by a friend and have been repeat customers ever since. We don't take our cars anywhere else. These people are honest and do not rip you off. Highly recommend this shop for car repair needs.Update: 9/15/23- went in again for another oil change. While this place is not fancy or modern looking, the people there are always friendly and courteous. Appointments needed as they are always busy. Fair prices compared to other shops. I don't go anywhere else now and we bring all our cars here for all service related matters.

My car ac was not working. Sovel's was very quick in identifying the root cause and ordering the parts and fixing it. I highly recommend Sovel's and will use their services again.

They were awesome! Very nice on the phone, even nicer in person. Quick work, I couldn't believe how reasonable the price was! I will going back... unfortunately LOL but glad I found such a Hidden Gem, and I refer them to anyone in the Novi/Northville area!

Awesome place. Multiple years ago I was told I needed some repair/replace work done on a suspension thing (I'm a computer guy not car lol) and it would've been multiple hundreds of dollars. Shortly after I switched to Sovel's for oil changes and other work and they said it wasn't necessary at that point. Well it's years later and my car is still running great.I think these guys are pretty honest and trustworthy. They can be busy at times but that's not surprising to me at all; they do good work and they do it quickly from my experience. Definitely recommended!

Nov 2021: Another great experience with Sovel s. I took our Lincoln MKX in because the exhaust was loud near the manifold. I wasn t sure what to expect on the cost as exhaust issues can get expensive. A dishonest shop could have taken me to the cleaners. Sovel s repaired the problem quickly for a very reasonable price. These guys are honest and they do great work. I won t go anywhere else for car repairs.11/4/22: I sound like a broken record but took the MKX in today for some brake noise and other stuff. Was fearing the worst. Of course, these guys took care of the issue for under $100.00- same day. If you take your car anywhere else for service you re doing it wrong.Service: Exhaust

Was so pleasantly surprised with my Sovel's experience, and am shaking my head that I wasted years and money taking my car to the dealership service center. On my appointment day, they called the same morning with a diagnosis and repair cost, and the repair was done by lunchtime at a very reasonable price. Super professional, personable, and great people to work with. Will be a return customer.Service: Exhaust

These guy are beyond a shadow of a doubt thee very best auto service mechanics I ve ever done business with. Quick, courteous & HONEST!!! They do quality work for an honest price. The only issue is everyone in town knows this so everyone brings their cars here. So you may have to wait up to a week to get it in. I guess I found my trusted mechanic in the neighborhood. The people here are easy to talk to and easy to get in with an appointment. Dealer told me I needed lot of things replaced, I took my car here and they said only trans fluid needs changing, rest is all good. I know where I am taking my car next time!

Sovel's is my "go to" place for all auto service. It is a family business, and you can be 100% confident that they will do a great job at a very fair price, and stand behind their work. If there is any kind of issue with the work, they will make it right ay no extra charge.

My family has had cars repaired here since before I was born. I have had a number of cars repaired here as well. Staff and owners are honest, friendly, very fair on pricing.We will continue to bring our vehicles here and fully anticipate my children will as well!

I have been taking all of my vehicles to Sovel's for 15 years. I started going to them because I was way over quoted by another garage. Very professional and honest people. My friends that are mechanics recommend Sovel's whenever they can't do it any cheaper! Great Place!

Sometimes it s hard to find a mechanic that will listen to you and give you a straight answer. For the longest time I stayed away from mechanics such as these due to prior experiences that had me frustrated and out a lot of $$. Then along comes Sovel s. If I can give them more than 5 stars I would! From start to finish they were courteous, quick, knowledgeable, and honest. The last one being very important to me. Not only did they diagnose the issue, they continued to investigate possible issues with the car and actually found a cheaper more effective solution. I m thoroughly impressed and will recommend them to anyone who needs auto service.

Nothing beats a fair mechanic you can trust - that is Sovel's - have only started recently going to Sovel's after my old place closed and couldn't be happier. They give an accurate assessment of what you need - not what you don't. And they charge a fair price. Dealer wanted to put in a replacement for an issue that was going to cost more than $1000. Sovel's was able to repair it for a fraction of that! I'm only hesitant to give a great review that they will be overrun with customers and unable to give the great service that they are currently giving. Thanks Sovel's!

I took my Ford Edge here a few weeks back. I explained the sounds I was hearing and that I suspected it was something to do with brakes or suspension. Obviously, I m not the mechanic here, those were my guesses. They looked at my car and told me nothing was wrong with it and it was safe to drive. A few weeks later I took it to another nearby mechanic and they told me that I had a bad wheel bearing, so bad that my rotor was rubbing against my brake pad without the brakes being applied. I don t understand how another mechanic could ve possibly missed this, especially being that it was a potential safety hazard should I continue to drive it. I m leaving 2 stars instead of 1 because they didn t charge me for a diagnosis, which is good because they didn t diagnose anything. Kinda disappointing.

Recently I had the Ford dealership tell me I needed new brakes after ~30,000 miles, which seemed a little early and they quoted over $350. I called Sovel's who gave me an estimate over the phone that was much less than the dealership so I took it to them on Saturday morning. They were very prompt with an update, calling just a couple hours after we dropped it off. They said I could get another 5,000-10,000 miles before it was necessary to change the brakes. I went to pick up the car expecting to pay a little bit for the labor even though I didn't end up needing the brakes, but they didn't charge me a dime.Overall, they were super friendly and I thought extremely trustworthy (They could have easily just done the work and charged me, or at least charged me a little bit to check the brakes (Ford charged $30 just to check)). I will absolutely be going back to Sovel's with all of my auto repair needs from now on.
