Fantastic detailing! My truck looks brand new again. I had an amazing experience. I highly recommend MotorCity Detail. Superior service at a great price.

I cannot recommend Motor City Detail for an interior car detail. I won t give this place a 1 star because at the end of the day my truck was cleaner than when I dropped it off, but I wouldn t consider it detailed. I had a terrible experience with them. I took in my truck to have an interior detail which they charged $170.99 and a non-negotiable additional pet charge of $59.99 because it takes extra time to vacuum and blow the carpet, not remove all the pet hair. All the pictures attached are the results after the first detail. They told me that the center console was left alone because there were personal belongings in there, and as pictured, I had 2 charging cables in there. It was upsetting because before the detail was started, I was told that any personal items would be bagged and ready to collect at the end of the cleaning. These were the only 2 personal items I had in the entire cab and didn t think it was a big enough issue to skip cleaning the entire interior console. I also thought it was appalling to leave that much water in the center console and they left a whole section of the truck unvacuumed. I told them I was unhappy with the job, so they came out to do a second detail while I was at work. Didn t text or call to let me know they were there, like they said they would. Once they finished the detail, they couldn t be bothered to leave me a voicemail or text message saying they were finished. Instead they tried calling me 4 times while I was in a meeting within the span of 5 minutes, parked my truck where they found it and left. I still found the driver side cubby wasn t even vacuumed out. After paying that amount, I would expect more attention to detail, especially after discussing my experience with others and they said they had better results with much less of a cost and headache.

You know that feeling when you get a big box for Christmas, thinking it's going to be a great present, but it's just...a pair of socks... that's what I felt today.For those who like short reviews:-- I paid $205 for a poorly done interior detailing. It was obvious that they did not shampoo my car. As soon as I got home, I grabbed my sponge, soaked it in water and brushed it over my seats. The results-- my sponge than the $205 I paid. I even attached pics. On top of this, service was terrible. The person working on my car, Jill, said I would get $50 off because my car took longer than 24 hours to clean (I dropped my car off at 11am Thursday and was told they may be unable to get it done by the end of the day, in which I said Friday noon was fine). However, when I get there to pick up my car and pay, the owner said I heard wrong and that it was only a gift card. The owner also claimed that the car was actually done last night, but he had them redo it this morning. If they did actually indeed redo it, I am shocked at how poorly the redo was. I was legit devastated and regret not doing a groupon for a diff location :( never again, motor city, never again. You can take your $50 gift card.For those who like long (but detailed) reviews:Here are the details:1. I own a Ford Fiesta (keep in mind this is a small car)2. I got the gold package + dog hair fee = $2053. I made a reservation to drop my car off at 11am on Thursday, July 13. They prefer 9am drop off to ensure you can pick it up same day, so I told them I was fine picking it up Friday at my lunch brunch, in which they told me it would be for sure done by 12.Here's what happened1. They weren't done on Thursday, which was fine. I'd rather have them do a thorough job and pick it up Friday.2. It's Friday now, and I arrive at 11:50am. I see two people vigorously vaccuming my car. Jill sees me and said she called me earlier to tell me it wasn't going to be done by 12, but by 1pm. I apologize for not picking up and ask why it was taking so long. She tells me that they booked too many cars to clean and couldn't get to mine. She tells me that they just started it today and have been working at it since 9 am and thought they would be done by 12pm. She felt bad about the inconvenience and said she would take $50 off. I said okay and get dropped off to work.3. I come pick up my car at 5:50pm right after work. Jill isn't there. Instead, some other guy who says he is the owner. He charges me and instead of taking 50 dollars off, he gives me a gift certificate for $50. I tell him that I was offered $50 off my bill for the inconvenience. He says, no, that I misheard. That the car was actually done last night, but he saw it this morning and had them redo it because he didn't like the results. Please notice how different these two stories are between the worker that I saw clean my car and this owner who claims he was there.4. I decide to pay and take my car home. Once I'm home I take a good look and notice that my car was obviously not shampooed. Just to make sure, I go in my kitchen and grab a sponge and just wet it with water. I wipe my seats that have dirt from my dog paws and what do you know, it came off.Honestly, I wouldn't have minded not getting the $50 discount that I was told, heck, I wouldn't have even minded if I got charged an extra $50 IFFFFF my car was cleaned well and thoroughly. The owner said that they worked on it last night AND they redid it this morning? pleeaseeee. Don't lie. That's the last thing I can't stand.Will not return.My sponge is more trustworthy.***edit: After reading the owner's reply, I noticed that the final price was indeed $205 not $230 (I got confused with the $130 I paid which had the yelp discount excluded). As for my car condition, it was indeed covered with dog hair, in which Motor City did do a good job in vacuuming. However, as far as the car seats go, it was def in not a state where it couldn't be washed. As I had stated in my review, they did not shampoo my car and if they did, my sponge was better.

My car got hard water stains all over the front end, and I couldn t get it off using any car wash or off-the-shelf products. The guys here worked for 7 hours and made the entire car paint perfectly like new(minus the stone chips). Strongly recommended!

A person always have a go to place for everything. Favorite go to restaurant, grocery store or even doctor where you feel comfortable. Motorcity detail is one of those places where you ll feel comfortable to take your cars to. Either be it a regular car wash or full detail (exterior and interior) Rod and his team takes good care of your car and makes sure you are happy with the service. They have all the right equipments for right job so if you spill anything inside or just like a nice clean car this is a one stop shop for all your detailing needs. They cater to all types of vehicles - sedans, hatchbacks, SUVs, trucks, sports car and even super cars.Everyone has an emotional attachment to their cars. I m sure if you have taken care of your cars as babies, give this place a call and have them take care of it the same way you did.

I went in for a preliminary wash and was undecided on Detail work.I met the owner and everyone there. I am definitely bringing my vehicle back.Materials , detail, washing process all 5 stars.Fresh Water, clean buckets, clean mitts every wash, different mitts for body and rims.Mirrors, Door Trim, Tires, wheel wells clean after driving through a unpaved road in the rain.Services: Full body wash, Wheel washing

Always doing awesome job! I have three kids, and the interior of my car makes that very obvious. Every time I have a detailed it feels like a new car again! The owner is super accommodating, and the amount of time spent on all of the details makes it worth the price! Highly recommend!

Looks like new. They did a great job getting the pet hair out. Seats look brand new, carpets super clean. Great job on the exterior too. I was able to leave car for two days so they could do a really thorough job. Taking my next car in soon. Really friendly staff, owner very responsive to calls/questions.

My car was detailed yesterday by MotorCity Detail. I am so happy with the result, I have 2 very hairy dogs so my vehicle needed a lot of work. Rod made sure the inside and outside were meticulously cleaned and I'm happy to say not one dog hair remains! In fact, the inside of my vehicle really does look like new. I will be recommending MotorCity Detail to all my friends and look forward to bringing along my other car to be worked on soon. Thanks to Rod for an A+++ service.

Took our crossover SUV here for it's first detailing. Had owned the car for a few years and use it regularly to transport 2 large dogs. They took great care of the car and had it looking like new. They were polite and walked us through everything they would do to the car. Not only will I be back again, but I would recommend this to anyone I know.

Went here to talk in person about what I wanted done with my truck, to see if they could fix what I wanted (chips, scratches). I met up with Rod who is the owner and spoke with him and he told me it shouldn t be a problem, so I set up my appointment. Picked up my truck after it was done, only to find out nothing that we talked about was done. Rod was out of town, so I had to talk with the lady at the front desk. She told me the chips didn t get fixed because Rod is the one that fixes them and he s out of town and the scratches I wanted fix weren t even touched. Later I spoke with rod and he said to bring the truck back in and that the reason they didn t fix the chips, is because while cleaning the truck they found more then what they where willing to fix.All of that was a bunch of bull because I was already told he was out of town that day, so there was nobody there to even fix them. So I didn t take my truck back because I don t trust them. I paid $340 for the premium package. My time is valuable and it was a big waste of my time. I m sure he ll commit on this with some excuse, like they were just going to fix the chips as a courtesy but I would of paid more or take the truck someplace else if someone would have called and told me. I don t write reviews unless it was a really good experience or a really bad one and this was really bad.

AMAZING!Great service. I got my car detailed for the first time since I bought it and it looks brand new again, I couldn t be happier! I ll be coming here every year!They were super friendly and pay great attention to detail. Not a space or crack left unseen! I m so thrilled to have a clean, great looking car again and for summer. The process was very quick and convenient as well. I highly recommend them!

The owner is great to work with. He did a nice job on my wife's Dodge Durango. We were very pleased with the result. Additionally, he discounted the price on the exterior work because he had not restored the badly damaged hood to his satisfaction. Took my car here for issues with mold after massive flooding in the area. They pulled out the seats, carpet, and upholstery and cleaned, dried, and put it back together. It looks like new. Very pleased to have my (now non-toxic) car back in such great shape!

Had the interior of my 2012 ram 1500 which I had just bought used. It had an odor in it and was quite dirty but after motor city did their thing the truck was much much better. They didn't miss a spot and concentrated specifically on the areas of my concern. They shampooed all of the seats and carpet and it looked great after. Additionally they were extremely accommodating and even let me pick the car up on their day off. I'll be bringing my other vehicles here in the near future.

All I have to say is Wow!! Rod and his team did an amazing job detailing the interior and exterior of my Jeep Grand Cherokee! My husband and I get our cars detailed at least once a year and this year was the first time we took them to Motorcity Detail. Coming from a mom of a toddler, I can honestly say they have done the best job out of all the other companies we've taken the cars too! We will definitely be back along with our friends and family! MotorCity Detail did a fantastic job on our vehicle, looked like new when we picked it up. They got us in right away and worked around our schedule. Dropped off on a Monday, picked up the next day. Would highly recommend this facility! All employees we dealt with were polite, professional and they did an exceptional job!

I don t normally leave company reviews, positive or negative, but the service I got at Motor City was so good, I had to say something. I have two vehicles that need regular detailing and I appreciate the personal service I get from them. The people are friendly, the work is always done on time, and the prices are good. There s a lot of bad service out there, so when you find a local company who cares about the customer, you should recommend them. Great job all around.

I Brought my wife s new Explorer in for a detail. Rod and his staff are top notch. Fast and friendly and do great work! When we came to pick it up Rod the owner personally came out and inspected the car with us and explained everything that was done. I would recommend them to anyone I know without any hesitation.

Professional, flexible, friendly! Best money I've spent in a while, very reasonably priced for everything you get! My car was in need of a serious detail and when I got my car back it was like new again! I called 2 days before and they were able to fit me into their busy schedule to accommodate my own. I researched almost a year for a reputable company to detail the engine in a 2005 Subaru Wrx.This is a process that I wouldn't let just anyone perform. It was well worth my time to research and have Motor City Detail deep clean my engine. The company is very well organized and all of the staff were extremely friendly. I cannot say enough about the owner Rod. He went above and beyond for my needs, as I am a very particular person when it comes to my car. Engine looks show-room ready and with that my husband is going to have his engine detailed as well! Thank you Rod and all of you at Motor City Detail for providing our community with a stellar business that we can rely on and trust.

Rod and company are fantastic! Service is top notch! They were on time for the appointment and very helpful. Our black car shows everything and MotorCity Detail made sure we were happy. My husband is a gear head, so he isn't the easiest to please when it comes to cars. This is the only place I would refer for having a car detailed.

Motor City Detail did a great job on my car. I had hard stains on the carpets due to the Michigan salt and weather, and the Motor City Detail team was able to get the stains out completely! Also, I took before and after pictures of my passenger seat where I had major stains and the results truly speak for themselves. The owner and the rest of the team are very friendly and knowledgeable - I will definitely be taking my car back to Motor City Detail.

Speedy and attentive servicemen and women, on the phone and in person. Extremely nice, fair price, and high quality service.My vehicle was a mess upon drop off- filled with slush, dirt, pet hair, wood filings, and some orange peels among other things. Interior detailing was finished within a few hours, and when I arrived, both I and my partner were thoroughly impressed by how immaculate it turned out. I wished I had taken a before and after picture. My partner will be going back to get his car detailed soon after seeing mine. The owner, whom I had the pleasure of speaking with upon picking up my vehicle, shows genuine thoughtfulness and concern regarding the quality serviced to customers. He knows his business and I recommend this place to anyone.

This place knows their stuff! We had purchased a used car for our teenage daughter that stunk of cigarettes and perfume and nothing we did was getting rid of it; we were all getting headaches if we had to be in it. We attempted detailing with two other businesses to no avail but Motor City Detail was confident, honest and knowledgeable. They performed a full detail and their ozone treatment until they and us were completely satisfied. It s like they performed a small miracle on that stinky car!We also use them to detail our Jeep Wrangler after months of dirt and dust with the top down, and they keep all our cars looking great in spite of daily trips with two dogs to the muddy, dirty dog park. Very happy with their work - had the exterior waxed and the interior detailed and it looked great. My car was very dirty from the winter. They went over it while I was there to pick it up and touched up anything even very minor they saw. They were very quick as well - had it done in half a day.

My wife and I got our car cleaned here about a month ago, and their level of detail in cleaning is second to none. Since the drive to the location was a little far away, I asked if it was okay to leave the car overnight, and they were very sincere and reassured that they will keep it secure in their warehouse until we pick it up the next day.The price is a little steep, but you get what you pay for and it is absolutely worth it. We have a german shepherd, the amount of fur was so ridiculous that we believed it was impossible to remove it, and yet there were not a single hair to be found.Very very excellent service.
