I had a situation where the Range Rover dealership quoted me almost $4000 for a simple coolant leak and fixing the automatic seat adjustment, which stopped working. I went to C.A.R.S and met DJ who I met for the first time. He was very transparent, and he told me there was one part that was leaking, and he just charged me for the part and on the seat he told me it was a loose wire that could be fixed if we can solve it, if not, you have to change the entire wireharness. He worked on it on his own, and the total bill came out to be about $280. I was very, very pleased with his openness and how he serviced me within the next couple of hours. I will recommend this place for anybody.

I have been here twice for my car. Once for a flat tire, and again for oil change and brakes/rotors.They have provided excellent service and work. I felt they were honest and fairly priced. Would defintely recommend as your local repair shop.

On July 13, 2023 I decided to stop next door at Valvoline for an oil change while I was on my work lunch because I didn t have time to go to my dealership. When I left Valvoline I got around the block when my car had black smoke coming out the exhaust, the engine light came on, and my vehicle started to shake. I immediately turned back around to Valvoline and when they took a look at it they claimed it was just a coincidence and nothing to do with the physical oil change itself. They recommended me go next door to CARS. CARS ran the diagnostic and determined they had overfilled my oil at Valvoline. The owner actually even had me come in the back of their shop to show me what was wrong and then proceeded to walk next door to Valvoline with the dipstick from my car to show them their mistake. CARS took a further look and discovered my spark plugs were bad. They immediately called to get the correct spark plugs for my vehicle, put them in, and boom the engine light was off, no shaking, no smoke. I m still extremely unhappy with Valvoline at this whole situation but thank GOD for CARS because they were so accommodating and honest with me. The owner even suggested I take a picture of the dipstick to show they overfilled it and gave me the bad spark plugs to take home and show my husband. I ve never experienced this level of compassion at a car shop EVER. They really went above and beyond. Thank you so much CARS!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Roughly two months ago, I started having various issues with my 2005 Trailblazer Ext. I have about an hour commute to work/back home daily; so a strong running vehicle is important to me. One Friday morning, on my way to work, my Trailblazer started to missfire. I made it to work and in a panic, called several auto shops in the area. Each one I called told me that they couldn't even look at my vehicle until the end of the FOLLOWING week. I was so devastated.Finally, I contact C.A.R.S of Novi and the kind gentleman on the phone told me that I could bring it up to be looked at immediately. I was elated since this shop is only a mile from my work. Within a couple of hours I was able to pick my vehicle up and it ran like a beast. Unfortunately, that weekend my fuse box started shorting out and my vehicle would have issues starting after it had been warm. This is no ones fault; even though I was a little disappointed that I had JUST gotten the plugs and wires done. I did take it back to C.A.R.S. after about a week of dealing with the fuse box issue. Dave and his crew were SUPER helpful. They got to work immediately and it didn't take them long to find and quote the issue.This vehicle does have a plethora of other issues so I can't see myself sinking the money into it.Fast forward a month, I decided it was time to treat myself to something newer and purched a 2007 Tahoe. I've been very please with the service and work I have received at C.A.R.S. of Novi so I decided to have them do a bumper to bumper inspection for me. Dave wasn't at the shop at the time so I was a little nervous that I may not receive the same helpful information and service. Boy was I wrong! His crew is so nice and very helpful. They answered every question I had. They even text you updates throughout servicing your vehicle which is an AWESOME feature considering my fast paced job keeps me on my toes all day.In the short time that I've been coming to this shop, they have treated me with respect and walked me through each issue and option. Dave is very understanding and willing to work with his customers. Every one here seems very knowledgeable. Their prices reflect the great work they do and your $100 diag fee applies to the repairs you have done to your vehicle. I have always gotten my vehicles back within the day and been astonishingly pleased with the quality of repairs done to them. Thank you to Dave and the crew! You have yourself a new repeat customer. We got beyond great service!! We were out of town and got caught in a huge storm long story short we needed some repairs and needed it done quickly. He fit us in last minute did the repairs by himself and didn t even charge us. Great honest guy friendly service 10 out of 10 would recommend. This shop isn t gonna screw you over.

I have a 1995 Camaro hot rod that I ONLY take to CARS to have work done. Dave is super knowledgeable about performance cars with engines being a specialty. I keep hearing horror stories about other so called performance shops in there area that Dave has had to fix issues they have caused. Save yourself aggravation, take your performance car to CARS to start.

Thank you to Dave Smith (the owner) of C.A.R.E.S of Novi for taking the time to listen to the issue I was having with my vehicle last month. I noticed my car leaking fluid and that the transmission coolant lines were rusted. Before even taking my car to the shop, I showed Dave pictures of the issues and he demonstrated his expert knowledge by providing me recommendations and a quote on the spot. He had the parts order that day and they were delivered the following day. The turn around time to get my car running was 48 hours. I appreciate how quickly Dave was able to respond to the problems and his clear communication.This is one example of excellent service I have had here. I have also had oil changes, spark plugs replaced, and brakes replaced at this shop. I have consistently been happy with their workmanship and their fair prices. RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Mike was rude as heck, just kept saying they are busy and that he would rather put the few things he took off back together and me take it somewhere else!! my vehicle has been there for over a week, I just called to check on it as I use it for work and was told another week as they haven't even started working on it!! So now I will take it somewhere new to get it fixed!!! And fixed fast.. its a 4 hr waterpump job!!! MY VEHICLE IS STILL THERE SO THIS IS NOT A MALICIOUS REVIEWService: Auto water leak repair

This week I rented a car from Hertz, the business next door, and accidentally left my car in one of the C.A.R.S. parking spots. It was not well marked and right next to Hertz spot, in a large lot with plenty of available parking. When I returned a couple days later, these jerks had slapped a giant, "Violation", sign on my windshield which was not easily removed (see picture). I'm pretty sure this indicates deeper issues and I'm not sure I'd trust my car with these a-holes.

New favorite car mechanic shop! Just had my radiator cooling fan replaced. I walked in randomly one morning to see if they can help me with my radiator fan not turning on. Dropped off my car and under 22 hours I had my car back with a brand new radiator fan. Very friendly owner that doesn't try to sell you everything or say your car also needs this and that done. Will 100% be going back. Also very fair/good pricing. I payed much less then I thought I would be paying. Thanks again!!Service: Auto maintenance

We have used this car repair shop for almost twenty years for six cars that we ever owned. The service was consistent getting better through out the years. I brought my car in for a possible suspension work that I thought. It's turned out to be wheel alignments. The harsh winter and poor road condition put a lot of stress to the vehicle. I received prompt communication regarding the problem of the vehicle and quote for the repair work. Wow. Such great service. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend going here if you want prompt, great service at a reasonable service. They diagnosed an engine problem that a previous shop got wrong, and much quicker than the other shop took to get their diagnostic done.If you're nearby and want a place you can trust. Go here, the first time, every time.

I was quoted $1300.00 at belle tire in Northville to fix my flex pipe, I had to wait hours for a call from belle tire. I called cars novi and they got me in ASAP diagnosed the problem & checked my brakes, fixed it same day for $200.00. Super old time shop but really nice guys!Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

I've been coming here for a few years now for service and they always do a great job. I had my brakes and rotors done yesterday and it was pretty quick about an hour or less. The price is cheaper than going to the dealership and I've always gotten my car back within the same day of me dropping it off. They are great guys and easy to talk to and wanting to help.

I took my car for AC not working, I over charged by using on shelf freon, I said to them this and after an hour they said I need a compressor and condenser replacement and it would cost 2000$ +. I took to another place and they fixed it by refilling the Freon to correct pressure for 150$. please have a second check with other shop or do your research to confirm before spending a lot.I am not sure if there was real issue when the checked but other place was able to fic quickly for 150$ sure I saved 2000$Service: Air conditioning

DO NOT TRUST! I took my car here for the first time for a tire change because I trusted the good reviews. DON T BE FOOLED!!! They changed my tire without notifying me of a major problem which caused my wheel to turn inward and now I m stuck with a bigger problem and much more money to pay. They won t even give me a new tire saying all you wanted was a tire change and you never asked us to look at anything else I have never seen such an unprofessional business and owner. The staff of C.A.R.S of Novi were awesome! Had my 2008 Dodge mini-van towed there ( a check engine light indicated an electrical problem with the transmission). It was a transmission solenoid. Checked it in on Tuesday, diagnosis by Wednesday, part ordered and arrived by Friday, vehicle done Tuesday, after road testing. They were clear about the repair and the possibility of it being worse, kept in contact via text and had my van ready early for the quoted price, which was around $1900.00. Would recommend them for any of your repair needs. Will be a repeat customer, but hopefully, not too soon.Service: Transmission repair

I started taking my Jeep here as problems have started to arise and the service is unmatched. Not only do they keep you informed as the repairs to your vehicle are happening, they are speedy and have quality work to back it up. Went to two different Belle Tires to get my brakes done....they quoted me two different prices and two different list of what Ineeded done. A family member gave me the name of c.a.r.s. of novi and the owners name (Dave Smith). I talked to dave and took it it in two days later for my brake job to be done which saved me around $3000.00.....belle tire wanted $4000.00 to $6000.00. I got to cars of novi at 6 am and dave and his guys took it right in and started working on it....dave kept me informed and showed me my bad parts... very friendly owner of his business .... I have been going to these guys for years. They have always treated me with respect and insured my cars were repaired correctly. They have never tried to unnecessarily up charge me and have always given me options to any repair. I will go out of my way to tow my cars to them rather than take the risk of trying a new local mechanic. I don t care if I m getting an oil change or if it sounds like my engines going to explode. I don t trust anyone else with any of my cars. Several times I ve had to take my cars to a dealership for warranty service. Then weeks later had to take them in to C.A.R.S. To correct simple things the dealership had forgotten to do. The last visit I had they had to do some serious diagnostics because the codes were basically useless. They did an amazing amount of trouble shooting, found the route issue and still managed to get the car back to me the next day. It s running better then it did the day I bought it. I wish more repair centers were like you.

Our family has been relying on CARS of Novi services for close to three decades now. We have found Dave to be honest in his diagnosis/evaluations whenever we have vehicle issues and the repairs have always been first class. I would trust our car maintenance to no other facility. You can always expect quality work at a very reasonable price at CARS of Novi.

My car started overheating on the highway while I was far from home. I took it to the nearest repair shop, they could not fix it that day and were overpriced. Brought it to Dave, the owner of C.A.R.S, and they had me taken care of quickly so I could get back on the road and the price was more reasonable than others in the area. Fast, friendly, highly recommend!

I have been a repeat customer as issues continue to arise with my aging car. As a person that does not understand much about cars they do a great job of explaining things and laying out all of your options. The price is always fair and the turnaround has been quick. Took my truck in and asked CARS to do some work on my Ford Expedition...Dave 'the owner' recommended he take a look at things and get back to me before doing the work I'd asked for. Good thing. Turns out that my engine issues were far less extensive than I had figured and for less expensive. CARS did the repairs they suggested and fixed my issues, and for much less than I was planning.Thanks Dave, and CARS.
