My wife had been hit on the highway, pushed into the car in front if her that dimpled her hood. We were working with the dealership to get the repairs done and were on the waiting list for parts. During that time, an oil change came due. I have been going here with all my vehicles for years, and am a local business owner.When my wife went to this place, the staff had a manager, and a helper . Tall guy with a long chin beard. While the manager was working with my wife, this guy gets angry that she even came in with the damage to the hood, starts being animated and swearing, calling it bull , etc. that made her feel quite uncomfortable. The manager explained they could not perform the oil change. Fine, no problem . But the complete disrespect shown to her, a paying, loyal customer for years, was the problem. At the same time, I was coming down Northville Road, saw my wife outside of this place and pulled in. After my wife caught me up on what happened, I walked up to the shop. I first talked to the manager, but was then greeted by the troublemaker. I asked him what the reason was for his behavior and he lost his composure. He said all the things you say when you want to fight someone, telling me to f off, hurling insults, etc. I kept my composure, walked out. 5 minutes later I get a call from the manager stating the owner was involved over the incident, and that individual who had other instances of this evidently. He told me he was fired. I told him, I would hold my review, as long as that guy didn t work with my community anymore.Fast forward about a month, it was time for my oil change. I pulled in, and guess who is now running the show. The same guy . So now I will post to every review board of our experience and never, ever go back. As a business owner here locally, you have a trust with your community.These people are abusive and predatory towards women. Don t take your vehicle here, just go across the street and give your business to people who deserve it

I do not want to put a business down but the gentleman that did my oil change was extremely rude and unprofessional which is unfortunate because this place has over 4 stars. Not friendly what so ever; on top of that made me feel ignorant as a female and had rude comments to say just because I didn t know the answers to some of his questions. I would have drove off but they had already started. Keep the comments to yourself or at least do not shout things so that everyone can hear you and make your customers feel stupid. I m sure there is good customer service here but my experience was definitely not one of them.Service: Oil change

DO NOT GO HERE AS A WOMAN! AWFUL EXPERIENCE! THE TECHNICIAN MADE ME FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE TO THE POINT WHERE I LEFT.I got an oil change on Friday 7/21 in the late afternoon. I was helped by a technician (bald, tan complexion and had some black hair, probably in early 40 s).He said windshield wipers were on a special for $25, and I found a $5 coupon online. HE FAILED TO MENTION THE UNCHARGED SND CHARGED ME MORE THAN WHAT WAS SAID.I went back to ask about it, and he said yeah he failed to mention an increase in pricing. He was so mad that he was throwing items around when I was about to pull in the garage. I have NEVER seen this type of behavior at an oil change. I was so uncomfortable that I left. As a paying customer, I shouldn t have to leave due to a workers behavior when they were in the wrong on pricing.I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE!

Beware of the scamming going on here. I just went there for an oil change and wanted to be sure I wasn t getting an overpriced $100 service like I have before and not expected to pay that price. The guy Rod? Ron? looked me up on the computer and asked if I wanted the same Platinum oil change. I said, I want synthetic . He laughed and said That s what it is ! Really condescending . I looked at the price board on the wall and said Synthetic - $56.99 is what I want. Are there different levels of synthetic? Which he ignored. Then I brought up a $10 coupon on my phone and asked if it was applicable to my service and did he need to scan it? No response. Then a different guy took over my service because another customer arrived and my service guy worked on the other man s car. When my receipt was handed to me, the cost of the oil change was $81.99 plus tax, a charge for extra oil, etc. I explained to the guy who finished my service that I d selected the $56.99 synthetic oil change and the other guy was mumbling about She wanted the same as last time: Platinum . I then got into the conversation with the first guy (who was hiding under the other man s car hood and trying to ignore my inquiries) and said, No I did not ask for that. I said SYNTHETIC $56.99 . No where in the price board is the word PLATINUM listed with any of the different options, so there was no way to know what he was even referring to. I asked if the $10 coupon has been applied and it hadn t. I asked the first guy why he didn t give me the $10 coupon I had brought up online and asked if he needed to scan it, and he said I told you yeah,. You didn t have me scan it I told him that what he does is scam customers (and apparently he s been doing it for 20 years of his employment! ) . I advise women especially NOT to visit this business. They take advantage of the fact that 1) you re sitting in your car and they can ignore your question and 2) they switch to servicing another customer s vehicle and hope you don t notice the huge bill that ends up getting charged. Note: When I asked the 2nd service guy about a $10 credit for the coupon, he refunded that. HE was a good guy. It makes me nervous knowing the employee I argued with has my name, address and phone number. I ll be researching this business more to get my name removed from their system.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

Very honest and trustworthy business. Was able to help me with minimum wait. Corey and Glen were working and were a pleasure to work with. I will definitely go back and refer them to other friends and neighbors.

If you want honest hard working people working on your vehicle come here.Ive been going here for several years now and I have never left disappointed. They have literally helped me save hundreds of dollars. I have came in to early for an oil change and they recommended I waited a bit longer. Then today John and Rob helped me out a lot, John let me know I had a leak in my coolant lines for my trans. I came in asking for an oil change and a trans fluid change. They changed my oil and also gave me a number to a mechanic they trusted.If you need to find a place to change your oil go here. you won't be disappointed. John Rob and Corey are all great and if you have questions they seem more then willing to help you out.As long as I am in SE Michigan I will keep coming to the Oil Exchange, they honestly seem like they care.Service: Oil change

Guys in here were really friendly, I called ahead to make sure they had the full synthetic oil and filter I needed - no problem, got in and out for an oil change in under 10 minutes, minimum fuss, price was ~10% higher than Valvoline but a way better experience

This is the only oil change shop I like going to. Not only because its close to home, they are quick. They get you in & out within 15 minutes.Thorough inspections, friendly, polite, professional handsome young men.There price is compatible with every other oil change shop.I like how they don't try to heavy up sell you because your a woman.

By far the best experience I had with car maintenance, John and Cameron went above and beyond in helping me fix issues and replacing fluids plus they were super quick. They made the time entertaining and taught me a lot about car maintenance while they worked and used fantastic visuals to really show their work.

I took my mom's car in for an oil change and the men were so nice and professional! Not only did they take care of her car, they took care of US. It was a hot day and they were kind enough to offer us bottled water! We appreciated the wonderful service and will return. Thanks to Glenn, Jacob and John. You guys ROCK!!!

I stopped in today to see if someone could preform a quick inspection of fluids, tire pressure, and battery charge before heading out on a back-road adventure..no questions asked brought me right in and checked it all out. The gentleman who helped me explained a few things he found and confirmed I was in good shape. Previously, I had called my dealership to see if they offered this type of service and they were dumbfounded at my question. Beyond thankful for the quick and super helpful service today! We will be back! Thanks to Steve, Jon and Jacob...great team!

I rarely make reviews online but when a business deserves it, I will! I only go to this shop for oil changes. The guys are great and don t take advantage of the fact that I m a younger female or make me feel uncomfortable. They check all of the lights and make sure everything is filled up. I make sure to tip them every time. They deserve it!

Sam has always been helpful with good advice. I ve never felt pressured to take additional services, but I have elected to based on appropriate manufacture recommendations. Fast and easy place to get an oil change.

I went for an oil change and the manager, Glen immediately detected a problem with my power steering pump as I was pulling in that I had been been experiencing for a few weeks prior. He flushed my power steering fluid and fixed my power steering pump. Jacob and Glen did an oil change and all fluid checks. Excellent, friendly, thorough service.

I just got my oil changed yesterday by and I just wanted to mention that service on the upper tech side (Steve Jr.) was terrible.First off, my windows went cleaned and it says on my receipt that they were; I mean whatever.Then, on my way to where I was going afterwards, I realized that my car was running loudly and hesitating. I figured I just needed to drive for a few and it'd pick back up normally.And when I got to my destination I realized that my hood wasn't even latched.Throughout the day my car's performance did not get better. Then I started to think of what it could have been, I checked my fluids that were changed or recommended; those were fine. Then, I remembered he took out my air filter to show me that it needed to be changed soon, and realized that my air filter cover wasn't properly closed or latched and that was the cause of my car troubles that I had experienced. Once I closed and latched it the car is running normally.I just wanted to inform who it may concern that their employees need to complete their service, I do not want car problems due to neglect.I also want to mention that I've been coming to this location for a few years now and I usually have a fantastic experience with the tech that is usually there when I go.That is all.Joshua Asel

Stopped in last week for a scheduled oil change and Steven and Jon couldn't have been nicer or more professional. I've been coming here for years for my oil changes. During my visit, Jon relayed to me he thought there was a leak near the transfer case. Sure enough, I just got back from the dealer who verified there was a leak and it will have to be totally replaced! Thank goodness Jon alerted me as my car is still under warranty. Saved me thousands of dollars otherwise! There was no way I would have known about this problem if he didn't speak out. They have certainly earned my business and trust for many years to come. THANK YOU!!

This shop is awesome. It's the only place I go to get an oil change. I travel a lot and I will go out of my way to get my car serviced here. They make sure everything is where it should be from topping off fluids to checking all my lights work. It is very reassuring to know that the little things I forget to check they are on it. Thank you so much guys I know I will be back soon

I was just at the car wash next door when Corey noticed my oil change "flap" had been left unlocked. He had me pull in, and his crew took care of me. So grateful that they helped out before I drove over something and it got ripped off! Thanks again, Corey!

I had a very positive experience this past weekend at the Oil Exchange. I brought my Subaru to the Oil Exchange on Saturday for an oil change. In the days leading up to this oil change, my car seemed to struggle to start.Anyways, after they performed the oil change, my car struggled the start and unfortunately wasn't able to, leaving me stuck in the oil change bay. One of the team members at the Oil Exchange offered to go to their Novi location, obtain a new battery for me, and get it installed. They did this promptly. During this wait, my son was getting a little bit antsy, but the another team member shared some suckers with my son.I really appreciate the thoughtfulness of the team members at the Oil Exchange and their desire to go above and beyond.

Oil Exchange Northville was by far the best oil change experience I ve ever had. The two employers we worked with went above and beyond in everything they did to my vehicle. I will come here from now on!

They have washing your windows listed as a complimentary service when you get your oil changed which I didn't get. They also didn't even ask me to use my turn signals or turn on my head lights which I'm pretty sure is protocol. A bit disappointing.

I have gone here a couple of times with no issue. I sent my wife here and they gave her the "Little Lady" treatment. Scolded her for waiting so long to change her oil. They said that that would void her warranty and that it would show up on "the car fax" report. When she pointed out that her oil life gauge said that she still had 30% life, they told her that those are not accurate. When she asked them to check the air in her tires they refused and said they were fine. When when she pointed out that her tire pressure system said that one was low, they explained that "those things need batteries you know. The battery is probably dead". They then charged her $5 extra for a hard to reach oil filter. Do not go here.

This is the only place I will go for an oil change!!! The staff are amazing! They take great care of my car and always answer any questions I have. They go above and beyond which is hard to find these days.
