Loved the Northport Inn for a weekend getaway in Northern Michigan. Close to everything but secluded enough that you can relax. The inn was clean and well maintained. A lot of reviews mentioned thin walls, but we had no issues. Easy communication and plenty of avenues for help had anything come up during our stay (nothing came up - these folks have it down!)Would definitely make it a point to stay there again.Rooms: Room was clean, spacious, and bright. It ran a little hot so I was glad I brought a fan with, but I'm sure we could have found a different solution if I wasn't obsessive about always bringing one with me.Nearby activities: Several restaurants/bars within walking distance, many wineries and bars just a quick drive down the road, easy access to Traverse City, Suttons Bay, etc... We also went to the Strongheart Civic Center to play disc golf and it was only a 15 min drive way.Walkability: Less than 2 blocks for 4-5 restaurants/bars, a grocery store, a book store, a bakery, a cafe, literally anything you would need during your stay.

Can t beat the winter prices or location! I ve stayed here twice and it s great! Not full service but staff is very responsive if anything is needed. Also very friendly and the inn is within walking distance of everything. Very clean rooms and decorated so nice for Christmas!Noteworthy details: We had our own code for outer and inner doors, pet friendly, great options for food around!

Would definitely recommend. Jeanette was so helpful and accommodating! Room was perfect, location is convenient, and I love having my own code to get in and out on my own. Will be staying here anytime I visit Northport and will recommend to my friendsRooms: 5/5Safety: I felt safe walking to the store and backWalkability: 5/5

Doing a bike trip around the peninsula and came into town early. Jeanette answers my call quickly and said we could get in the room early because they had finished cleaning. What a treat considering the heat!Elevator and rooms easily fit our two touring bikes.Overall the room was quite good. Modern bathroom compared to the B&Bs we were staying at. The walls, however, are quite transmissible of sound - we could hear conversations over the a/c unit on either side. But it s not the first time we have used ear plugs for sleeping so no big deal. Bed was a little soft for my tastes, might be spot on for yours

Stayed at the Northport Inn on a random Wednesday night to enjoy the Jazz band that evening. Service and band were great and the food was delicious! Check in was very simple just using the code with the room was very cozy and spacious. Perfect area with tiny shops and restaurants nearby to visit, loved New Bohemian Cafe (Got the Lox).Would recommend this place, I know I cannot wait to go back!

Loved the Inn, the location was great. Easy access to Suttons Bay, Glen Arbor and Leland. Visited all of our favorite spots, enjoyed Northport as a home base with a grocery store next door and good restaurants all around Northport and surrounding area. We will stay there again.Rooms: Rooms were larger than expected with plenty of extra space.

We had the following issues at our stay over the weekend:Dirty bed blanket- big stain on the duvetMissing paint on door in bathroomMissing paint on wall where towel bar was movedWent to change toilet paper and the whole holder fell off the wallNo shower headTV doesn t work - couldn t load any apps even after connecting to the internetWeird towel in bottom of fridgeNo parking- had to park on the street which made us very uncomfortableThe ledges in the main area were filthy and covered in dead bugsAnd to top it all off: We were woken up by loud knocking on door well before checkout!!! They were just checking to see if we were still in the room and we were sleeping! No apology was given.

Small town hospitality with big time comfort that makes you feel at home. The room was superbly clean and updated to make you want to put your feet up and relax from the moment you walk inside. The hotel manager was friendly and accommodating and made the check-in process hassle-free. She even had fresh coffee ready the next morning! You are smackdab in the middle of Northport so everything you need is within walking distance and the view from the room is icing on the cake. The town may be small, but The Northport Inn delivers in a big way and pampers their guests well.

Highly recommend checking out the Northport Inn! My wife and I stayed for a night and the accommodations were outstanding! Such a beautiful hidden gem in Northport. So much history and so many fun things to do in the area. The booking process was very easy and the check in process was smooth as silk! We will definitely be visiting again!

It was OK. Clean. Bed was comfortable. However, very small tv and it was stuck on the Roku "setup tv" could not get it to do anything.... tried everything for over an hour. Just wanted to unwind a little. Also FYI there is a live jazz music venue downstairs...and yes one can hear it very well..... just a little much. Looked afterwards and didn't see a mention of it from the booking site or in communication with the staff/owner.

Lovely little inn central in Northport. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, great view of town and the lake from the back deck. Room had a mini fridge and tv. Coffee was made available but I wish there had been a coffee maker in the room as we get up very early before the provided coffee was made. It wasn't always staffed so we had to call if we needed anything but service was good.

Lovely place! Lovely town! Lovely people! The staff here was so welcoming and accommodating. We rented out the entire place (7 rooms total I believe) for a wedding party, and all gathered in the 'meeting room' before and after the weekends events... Couldn't have been a better experience!

This is a mixed review. My wife and I went to the Northport Inn as a quiet weekend getaway. At 11:00pm a wedding party arrived at the hotel completely drunk and out of control. The yelling, dog barking, and constant noise went on well into the early morning hours. Around 3:00 am we were debating packing up and leaving, but I dreaded the three hour drive home at that time, and I knew nothing else was available in the area. The biggest problem was, the hotel is unstaffed after 3:00 pm so it is basically a free for all. There is a contact cell phone number at the front desk to call a staff member, but at 3:00am, I was not going to call. The stay was miserable beyond words. After departing in the morning, I called and spoke to the manager, and she offered a refund, without my asking for it. I gave three stars because the stay was a zero, but the customer service offering a refund was five stars.

The Northport Inn is an interesting property. From what we read, these are new owners. It is clear they are investing in hotel, with a beautiful lobby area. There are only nine rooms, all on the second floor; accessible by elevator and by a staircase. The rooms themselves, however, are a different story. There is no front desk; you are sent a code via email to unlock your room. If you code doesn't work - like ours didn't - you have to call a phone number and get a new code. This worked fine but was an unsettling experience. Our room, number 3, was an ADA-accessible room with a huge bathroom. The rest of the room was a nice large size, as well. But it was the details in which the Northport Inn fell short:> The in-room refrigerator was ancient and visibly beat up.> The in-room coffee maker didn't work.> Instead of an in-room microwave, there is a microwave on a cart in the hallway, presumably for all guests to share.> The smart TV screen was laughably small.> The "table for four" mentioned on the website had just two chairs. The table itself was very tiny; if there had been four chairs, they probably wouldn't all fit.> The couch/sleeper was not comfortable or steady.> All of the furniture, shelves, etc., appeared to be rehomed from IKEA. Further, some pieces of furniture shown on the website - a recliner-type chair and a coffee table - were missing from room 203.The Northport Inn clearly has potential but it's not yet the "luxurious, sophisticated inn" it professes to be on its website.

Clean and comfortable! Check in was a breeze and town is quiant. Right downtown, coffee shop across the street, brewery across the street, grocery store and ice cream next door. Public playground and Beach just down street.
