From the minute I walked into the Harbor Grand Hotel I immediately felt welcomed. Hannah at the front desk was very warm and kind. I loved the cozy fireplace in the lobby and could sit there all day.The interior dcor of the hotel and my room were stunning. One of the highlights of my stay was the cozy fireplace in my hotel room. I also loved the soaking tub. My room was extremely clean and the bed was beyond comfortable. The attention to detail throughout the Harbor Grand Hotel is truly remarkable, from the impeccable service to the stunning views of the harbor. Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat, this hotel exceeds expectations in every way. I can't wait to return.

We had an absolutely lovely time at this hotel. The reception workers are extremely friendly and personable. The room we had was clean, spacious, and modern looking. I was happy that we were in a nice, quiet hallway. The bed was also very comfortable. If you're hungry, the Terrace Room on the Lower Level is a nice, fancy restaurant with great food. The wait staff are also professional and friendly.Food & drinks: The Terrace Room is a restaurant on the lower level of the hotel and it's stellar. The food and service are top notch.

Returning to the Harbor Grand Hotel for our second stay only deepened our love for this romantic retreat. The impeccable rooms are a fusion of elegance and cleanliness, setting the tone for a perfect couples getaway. A highlight was the delightful picnic basket breakfast, delivered right to our room each morning - a lovely touch we truly appreciated. Our evening at the Terrace Room was nothing short of exquisite, and the spa services? Pure bliss. This hotel isn't just a place to stay; it's an experience, and one we wholeheartedly recommend. Can't wait for visit number three!

The hotel sits right on the Harbor with all rooms having a view of all the lovely boats in Harbor. The rooms were nice and the beds were very comfortable! Their bar and restaurant had nice options for dinner and drinks after 5:00 PM. We were there at the end of September so it s possible that during their busier months their hours are different. We walked everywhere in town our entire time staying. To the beach, bars, restaurants, and stores. Would stay here again;)

New Buffalo is a cool town and The Harbor Grand Hotel has a great spot here. It's positioned within walking distance from the beach and great local restaurants, like Brewster's and The Stray Dog. The rooms were cozy and even had a fireplace and a soaking tub!The indoor pool and hot tub are a good size and kept clean. The staff was very helpful and even brought out a pint of ice cream for my birthday. We plan to come back for an easy get-away.

This is one of the best experiences I have ever had at a hotel. Feels like a 5 star resort. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. They have the most amazing service as well as great folks running the front desk and restaurant. On to the rooms..a stunning, modern, luxurious, lay out and furniture, comes with two robes. Between the robes, complimentary chocolate and free breakfast room service you feel like you re at a high end couples resort. With the beach only a few steps away you are near all the major entertainment and restaurants new buffalo is known for!!I cannot say enough good things about this place, hoping to start coming more often.

This was an amazing place and location. Surprised my wife with this get away for our 30th anniversary. She loved every second of it. The small town of New Buffalo is a well kept secret. The staff was also very welcoming and accommodating. We are heading back next year with the entire family. Also having the casino down the road is good.

WOW- Where do I begin! This has to be one of the top hotels I've stayed here and in Europe. The moment you step foot in their hotel you are immediately at ease. Their amazing staff was the best of the best. Ashley greeted me and made my entire visit amazing. If you are looking for a well cultivated hotel with amazing food and views, look no further. We have stayed at others. on Lake Michigan and none compare. I already booked another stay and have told everyone I know. Do not let this hidden gem pass you by! Thank you again to Ashely and the entire staff for making my stay so memorable. The town is also adorable and has everything you could ever want. 5 STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had an incredible stay at the Harbor Grand - it exceeded our expectations & more. The hotel itself is beautifully designed and is very cozy and relaxing. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the terrace room at the lower level of hotel. This hotel really pays attention to the details , especially when it comes to the basket breakfast in bed. We will definitely be coming back for a relaxing weekend retreat!

My husband and I have been coming to the Harbor Grand for about 10 years. The ambiance and service here are unmatched. The atmosphere is spa like. You feel immediately relaxed when you walk in. We always get a 3rd floor, harbor view room so we can see Lake Michigan. Being able to see the beautiful sunsets right out your window is priceless. In the morning, having the cute breakfast basket delivered to your room is such a nice touch. As far as cleanliness goes, it is always spotless. We have never had an issue with that during any of our stays. Also, being within walking distance of the shops and restaurants is so convenient. We always enjoy our time spent here.

OVERALL: Expensive! At $500 to $600 for 1 night in July, this is really pricey. There are a number of things at the hotel that could be more user friendly or make more sense. Guests need a hotel map and there needs to be more signage. The fitness center is on the first floor tucked in with guest rooms. The pool is on the opposite end of the first floor through an unmarked door. There is also a bathroom in the pool area (another unmarked door that appears to be a utility closet). Restaurant is on the lower level. I never found the spa location. Ice machine is in the stairwell of the 2nd floor.7-10 minute walk to the New Buffalo Beach and Third Coast kayak rental. 3 min walk to the Stray Dog restaurant. Lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance.ROOMS: We had a king harborview. Beautiful room with a sliding door for fresh air. Working fireplace and an oversized soaker tub in the bathroom. We liked having a table/breakfast area too. No complimentary water bottles. Make sure to bring your own! Fridge is enclosed in a cabinet and stays very warm.THERE IS NOT AN IN ROOM SAFE. This was a minus for us.BREAKFAST: It's lovely to receive a breakfast basket to your room. Each guest gets to choose a complimentary beverage and a couple of food items: quiche, overnight oats, blueberry muffin, etc. I asked for the overnight oats to be VEGAN and specified that I was hoping they could be made with almond or oat milk. They were not. A luxury hotel with a full restaurant should offer options to meet different dietary needs.POOL: The pool was very refreshing and the hot tub nice and warm. Soothing spa music plays in pool area. There are lounge chairs in the pool area and sun deck. Great spot to relax or swim. I was the only one in the pool from 8am to 9am. Not sure what time they set up the cushions on the outdoor lounge chairs.FITNESS AREA: Small room with a treadmill, rower, elliptical and weights. Your view is a wall or mirror. It opens at 8am which is also not great for early risers. I tried the door at 7am... It was not open.It looks like the fitness room used to overlook the pool. Not sure why they would move it. Looking at the pool and having natural light would be better.RESTAURANT: We did not eat dinner here, but we ordered drinks. Very pricey at $16 EACH for a Kentucky Mule and Old Fashioned.HARBOR PATIO: Nice Adirondack chairs and harborview.BIKES AND BEACH TOWELS: you can borrow both at the front desk.

Luxurious stay. The room was ample and beautiful. We love the frank lloyd wright designs and the warm, cozy feeling inside. The pool is salt water and warm, with a separate hot tub. It was almost always empty when we went since it was off season and mid week. The lobby had a fireplace and little seats which were cozy and nice for warming up. Our only complaint is that the bed is rock solid firm. We found it painful to sleep on our sides or backs - it felt almost like sleeping on the floor. So if you like firm, it ll be great for you.

I was looking for a quiet place near the water and the Harbor Grand came up in my search. I was skeptical about booking because I wasn't familiar with New Buffalo, MI, but after reading the reviews, I decided to book my stay in celebration of my birthday with the help of Keenan who was so patient and kind. When I entered the doors I was greeted with a warm welcome by Brian and was given a tour. The ambiance was breathtaking.I pride myself on cleanliness, but my room was spotless! The linen was crisp. It was immaculate! The breakfast in a basket delivered to my door every morning added so much to my stay. I will definitely be back real soon. I have to send a shout-out to the staff that assisted me during my stay. Keenan, Briana, Ashley, Kenzie, and Nena. Oh, I can't forget the Spa and the Terrace it was also A1!

We absolutely loved our stay! Waking up to lake views is what dreams are madeOf. Add in breakfast delivery (included in rate) and the fantastic service we got it was a phenomenal stay.I wish there were a few more options on the breakfast menu, but it was definitely nice to not have to leave the room to get breakfast.

Love this place! Perfect, easy getaway from Chicago for couples. We have been here several times, both before and after their renovation. Love the details of the new renovation, rooms are well decorated and clean. When we stay we always eat at the restaurant, the ravioli and salmon are great and the restaurant has a nice vibe. My favorite thing hands down is the free breakfast basket. We always have a great time here. Highly recommend!

This was by far one of the best experiences I ve had at a hotel. From cleanliness to the staff and everything in between was fantastic, there wasn t one bad thing I could say about The Grand Harbor Hotel. Our girl Ashley at the front desk made our experience that much better too and I hope when we come back we re able to see her smiling face!

The mood of this hotel is definitely low key and chic. From the moment I walked into the lobby I felt welcomed and relaxed. The hunter green paint paired with the black and white wall art instantly made me feel like there was a good time to be had. I did not want to leave the space. This is the first place that I ve stayed where the room looks better than the photos online. Shout out to the interior designer. The staff was very attentive and committed to us enjoying our stay. Thanks to Ashley for always answering our questions and recommending cool places to experience Michigan.

Classic blend of design and beach town vibe. Enjoyed the location! We switched up the Traverse City trip to try this out and it did not disappoint. Borrow the bikes and explore. Pool and hot tub were good/clean. Breakfast baskets are cute. Great central location to explore all sorts of the areas best features and destinations.
