Do not be fooled by the price and location. The cleanliness and upkeep of this hotel is unacceptable. Some of the carpeting in our room was torn up and never replaced, the towel bar in the bathroom was bent and had appeared to be torn off the wall and replaced multiple times without repairing the holes. The room was visibly dirty with stains on the lampshades and stains on the wall around the hotel. The shower in the morning took over 30 minutes to heat up and I ended up just taking a cold shower. This is the only time I have stayed in a Baymont location was so dirty I did not feel comfortable staying. Unfortunately, we were there for a work event and did not have enough time before the event started after arriving to town to secure other accommodations.

We were on a very long road trip driving a Uhaul towing our vehicle. We were exhausted and wanted nothing more than to relax and rejuvenate before getting back on the road the next day.We picked this spot because it was close to the freeway and we've had good luck with Baymont in the past. They also had an indoor pool with a jacuzzi we had planned to use but then were too tired. They looked very nice and clean. We arrived around 11pm. I had to use phone to have gentleman come out and check me in. Smooth process. We had reserved the King Suite with jacuzzi tub. All was in working order and seemed clean enough. The room was in need of a new paint job. And the furniture was a little beat up. Bed was comfortable. There was a 2' area next to the bathroom that missing furniture and looked bare; maybe put something there so it doesn't look so out of place. There was a bench right outside the window of our room. I was very grateful it was snowy and cold and no one was going to sit on it because that is a very poor place for a community bench. I would NOT appreciate having strangers sit right outside of my "suite" room.Soaked in the jacuzzi tub in the room. Seemed a little dusty but in working order.Skipped breakfast after reading the reviews. No one checked me out; just dropped keys. No real interaction with staff other than short check in process. This place needs some TLC.

Hot tub was broken and we got upgraded to a jacuzzi room! The room was as clean as it could be given the condition of it. The hotel is just tired, folks. It s just worn out and in need of a facelift. They said they re in the middle of remodel starting in half of the building. Literally half the hallway on 2nd and 3 floors is done, idk why they just didn t do one floor all the way! It made me LOL. Staff is friendly and hardworking.

Not really sure why the rating for this hotel is very low. We stayed here over the weekend and we're pleasantly surprised. It wasn't the cheapest option but it definitely wasn't the Four Winds or the Holiday Inn express. The room is super clean, it wasn't loud, it was full but you couldn't tell. A little dated, but other than that it wasn't bad at all. Service was pretty good, straightforward. The location is excellent. The parking lot is a little sketchy and the property on the outside isn't the best, but I will definitely stay hereRooms: The room was super clean, I still don't really understand why it has such a low rating.Nearby activities: Four Winds Casino is nearby, rolling Embers dispensary, Lake michigan.

There were such horrible reviews, but we came and we checked for ourselves before paying for the room. None of the reviews we saw about blood, hair etc were true and the parking lot was fine. Patel was accommodating and treated us very well. It isnt the Ritz Carlton, but you know what to expect when you pay $85. The pool appeared nice and clean and staff was cleaning it wheb we walked in. We didnt use it, but looked nice. Rooms had microwaves and refrigerator. And our dog was welcome. Go see for yourself, before you knock it.

The room was nice and very spacious. Came with a working mini fridge and microwave. The room was clean, bed made with clean sheets and pillowcases. Nothing left behind in the fridge. Bathroom tub looked like it just had been newly remodeled, it was so white and clean! I really liked this room. The hotel also had a pool and a hot tub which was open from 6am to 11 pm. The only thing my daughter complained about was that the air didn't turn on throughout the night, yet still the room wasn't too hot. I would recommend this if your visiting New Buffalo, Michigan and want to stay close to Four Wind Casino. Very nice place!

Needs a lot of updating. Mold smell in hallway and rooms. I expected more from Wyndham. When I made the reservations the rating was better and by the time I checked in the ratings tanked. My screen was broken on my window and the air unit did not keep the room cool. Staff was friendly but totally disappointed on the hotel it self. Will not be staying there again. Very much run down inside and outside. I paid a lot for each room and after I checked in I looked how much each room was going for and it was $105 cheaper than what I had booked it for a few months back. But they still charged me that in sane price.Rooms: See the comment above. Was not happy with the room.Nearby activities: Nothing near.Safety: Didn't feel safe.Walkability: Couldn't walk anywhere. Nothing close by the hotelFood & drinks: No food near by and the vending machine was broken

So we were only in town for a day and chose this location last minute for the low price. The check in guy in the afternoon 8/9 was cool enough but we had a few problems with service/amenities. First, the side door doesn t work and we weren t told so by a fairly rude worker when we tried it. There were tears in the lampshades covered by packing tape, the mini fridge didn t work, and the lady at the front seat 8/10 am was extremely rude and lacked any kind of personality. Really don t know what we expected for the price but I guess it wasn t the worst it could have been. The location was convenient but they should get new signage for the outside of the hotel.Nearby activities: Downtown New Buffalo, beach, restaurants, shopping

The pool area is adorable. The spa may be a little hot, but nice. Breakfast was warm but basic. Scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits & gravy, and a selection of cereals. You can make your own waffles, so the kids like that.Less than 5 minutes from the new Buffalo beach. There's a little concession stand, bathrooms, and water to rinse the sand away. You do need to pay the meter to park in the lot. (Attendant on duty)The staff at the hotel was nice, gave us a couple extra blankets for the kids. (We had 4 ages 6-13 and 2 opted to sleep on the floor ) Beds were firm and clean. The bathroom was also clean.I'm probably not going to stay again, however. Come checkout time, my sister and I left the kids in the room while we loaded the car. With 20 minutes to go til check out, and the do not disturb sign up, housekeeping let themselves in. Which of course scared the kids. They have strict instructions not to open the door. So, while the hotel is perfectly fine for a couple of nights, it's not worth another scare for the kids.Rooms: The staff at the hotel was nice, gave us a couple extra blankets for the kids. Our picky kids ate it right up.

I left a review about a week ago because I went in early to pay and he said if we left a good review we could check in early. So my brother agreed which meant I was forced to as well. I left my prior review from my other account up as proof. If it is gone it was not me who deleted it. I only wanted to pay and come back. Pool was nice, lots of chlorine tho. My brothers room smelt weird and he also got charged for a cleaning fee even though I witnessed the room being in the same condition as when we left upon checkout. There was a spot on my wall that I swear looked like someone painted over blood but my phone got stolen so I can t post any photos unfortunately. Carpet was coming off the floor, large enough gaps in the door that you can see into the room from the hallway, etc. Got woken up on day 3 around 9 am to banging on my door and a phone call to my room where nobody answered despite calling me, I did not order a wake up call. Kept the chair lodged under the door handle the whole trip because this hotel felt so off. Was seriously scared I might get unalived in my sleep. All in all it was decent, it was the cheapest in the area and we really needed this vacation lolSafety: Maybe don t come as an unaccompanied female it s a bit sketchy

Ended up staying here only because of a glitch on priceline. I was supposed to be at the Quality Inn and I wish I had.The rooms were clean ish. But no foul smell and no bugs that I saw, so good enough. There is no room service at this location, for those staying multiple nights. They advertise breakfast. The toaster doesn't work. The oranges (only fruit) died weeks ago and really need to be buried. The yogurt expired a month ago. The ONLY other offering is a crockpot of gravy. We don't eat pork so I can't speak to that. But given the other things I probably wouldn't have touched it anyway. In short, go ahead and assume no breakfast if you stay here.Pros: Towels were well stocked in our room (usually there are only 2 and we have to ask for more or share).Beds were comfortableMostly quiet all night, and felt safeNo smell in roomCons:Smells in hallNo legitimate breakfast offered & what is available is long expiredRoom dirty (but not horrible)A solid 3/5Food & drinks: Expired and not edible

Quite possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. When we arrived, the front counter staff was in a conversation and did not bother to acknowledge us. Our room had a 3x3 piece of carpet missing in the entrance. Walls had holes in them where racks or bars were pulled out but not patched. Sheets were stained with bleach and should not have been used. Bathroom had a sticky floor of some unknown substance. Basically, very dirty all around. This is a $50 hotel, not $150. Very disappointed. I would advise NOT staying here.

Only real redeeming quality is the lower price range for the area. First room we were offered reeked of something. We couldn t pin it down, but seemed to be musty shower curtain. Luckily we were wary and had not unpacked yet. We returned to the front desk. They were very accommodating and quickly changed our room. On the bright side we got a room on the 1st floor near a door, which worked great for us. Downside, the door is supposed to lock and only allow key entry, but it didn t. To make things worse, that door faces an unlit parking lot that backs up to the woods. The room was okay. Minimal furnishings but at least a clean shower and curtain.

This hotel smells of curry and disappointment! We have been going to this hotel for years and it has been slowly declining every year. This was the worst and final time.First off we were not given the rooms we specifically reserved. Then the entire third floor smelled terrible. Upon entrance into our room, we discovered several stains on the sheets of unidentifiable origin. Then there was a broken chair at the desk provided in the room and gnats in our bathroom. See photos below. The breakfast is nothing but broken hopes and dreams. There are very limited options but no utensils to eat them with. I guess that is one way to save money. There is cereal but no milk or SPOONS! And don t even get me started on the sludge they call gravy for your frozen biscuits. There were used band aids and clumps of hair by the pool and the back door with patio access was constantly propped open, creating a security risk.Overall, very very dissatisfied. Anytime we took any of our concerns to the front desk we were met with arguments. And the excuse for being short staffed as to the state of the hotel is wearing thin. If I could give 0 stars I would!

Dear lord this is quite possibly the worst place I have ever stayed - and I have spent months in a third world country with better accommodations. Our other hotel double booked us and this was the only place nearby with availability. They put us in room 311 (king with sofa sleeper) and it was truly terrible. Looked like Dahmer s apartment honestly. Tape holding furniture together, soy sauce packet on the floor, water damage on the ceiling and wall, orange fingerprints all over the counter, blood stains on the pullout, strong odor of curry all throughout the hotel need I say more? It was unlivable.Unfortunately no other hotel had availability so we couldn t leave. We demanded a new room and got one that was decent - at least no clumps of hair or blood stains. I can t help but wonder why in gods name you would ever put someone in room 311 when you have alternate rooms that don t give off serial killer vibes. This place is very rundown. Smells awful. Absolutely don t stay here, even if it s your last resort. The front desk guy was nice.

This place is pet friendly and very close to New Buffalo Beach which was great BUT this place is not very nice, it needs a lot of work, the outside grounds are very unkept, inside it has a Strong smell of food, the carpets are really dirty. So, many things are broken, like the ice machine and lock on our room door, the bathroom door wouldn't stay closed. Security is not the best either. The breakfast is super skimpy, the waffle machine is good, very yummy BUT- get there early if you want to find anything, The fitness room is tiny and has no AC, the pool and the hot tub are ok BUT very small and there is a very strong Chlorine smell that made my eyes burn. Long story short, avoid staying here if you can.Rooms: The rooms are ok, the beds and linens are comfortableNearby activities: Near many beaches m, dunes and berry pickingSafety: Wow, the security at the place is not good, all the doors between floors and side are open! SCARYWalkability: The area around this hotel is not very walkable, no where to go the grounds are not clean, a lot trash and people don't clean up after there dogs, you have to becareful where you step, because there is poop here and there

For those of you complaining, this is a inexpensive hotel. Yes it needs to be spruced up. But the bed was clean, comfy, lots of pillows. The air and fridge worked well. TV worked. I've seen worse. The lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful.Yummy lemonade at the desk!It was perfect to just spend the night. If you need to live in your room, then maybe spend more money elsewhere.

So, this was a quick weekend away with a friend. The stock photos look appealing until you turn the lights on and take a minute to look.Upon arrival came to find out the pool and hot tub are out of service, apparently the world ran out of chlorine or it s reserved for the family who live on the first floor.Counter staff were friendly and courteous, we were given a upgrade to a room with a jacuzzi due to the pool being out of service. As we moved into the upgrade it was clear the room hadn t been cleaned, both in turnover and some time, so we were moved a second time to another room. The room was first floor, I checked the sheets with a UV light and they were clean, the pillows however stank of grease/oil. The room had been through some kind of maintenance as the ceiling was repainted in spots. Drywall in the bathroom around the tub was smashed. Smoke detector in the hallway had been tampered with. Ceiling in hallway was hanging off. Bathroom was clean. Carpets were dirty, room had a damp smell. On our last night the room had water coming in from under the jacuzzi, the whole room from the door to the bed was saturated when we woke the next morning. Air conditioning continually shut off randomly for no reason.Vending machines out of service, pool and hot tub out of service, fire alarm went off at 745am and the building had to be evacuated due to burning toast. Lighting in the parking lot is not well lit up, the sign for the hotel is barely legible, pulling into the lot felt like we were entering a low budget horror movie. If you re in a bind and need a cheap place in an emergency this will suit the need, however the facilities are no way near up to date and a close inspection shows multiple hazards and opportunities for improvement, overall the place is dirty and not somewhere I would return to or recommend, at minimum they need to update their offering page and remove things like the pool/hot tub, and other appeal items that don t work.Rooms: DankSafety: Sits behind a motel, badly lit, sign is aged and hard to make out.Food & drinks: All vending machines were out of order
